"(Y/n)!!" a person yelled out. You turn to see your friend who was running towards you. "Sheesh! Why did you leave me behind..?" she begged as she fixes her hair.

"Sorry (F/n), I was thinking about tomorrow..." you replied. You were nervous and excited about the exam for U.A. high tomorrow.

"Oh, yea! Aren't you, like, going to sign up for a job or something?" she questioned and began to eat a rice ball from her leftover lunch.

"What? No, silly! I am trying out for U.A. high." You answered, surprised that your friend thought you were going to apply for a job. You were always careless, but you were also living with your family who wanted you to stay home. Your friend spatted out a chunk of rice from her mouth and looked at you.

"Y-you are... trying o-out for U.A.?" she inquires as her eyes began to tear up. You were confused and didn't know what to do.

"(F/n)... I-I..." you stuttered. You were confused and hurt cause your friend was crying. "I-I..." the words were stuck at the tip of your tongue; It was as if you were choking. Without hesitation, she hugged you real tight.

"(Y/n)... I am proud of you..." She sobbed while you stud there; A cool breeze swayed. "Please, be a hero. Not just any hero... the number one hero. I want you to rise so I can be able to say, 'That girl right there... She is the only friend I ever had that was able to believe in her dream. She is the one who told me to succeed, but I didn't cause I didn't want to get in her way.' (Y/n), be the hero that we all need..." she whispered.

"(F/n), t-thank you..." you hug her tighter and cry. (F/n) had friends before, but they all left her behind cause they were competitive about being a famous hero. You were the one to step up and say that she was able to be a great hero too, letting her keep her pride up. Unfortunately, your mom called you at the wrong time.

"Oh, sorry..." you were speechless. You gave her a smile and answered your phone. "M-mom? What is it?" You guessed as you wipe your tears away.

"(Y/n), can you please come home? We need to get you ready for tomorrow!" she beamed. It seemed she didn't know you were crying a couple minutes ago.

"O-okay mom, I will be there." you quickly informed. You waved your friend goodbye and start heading home until you hear (F/n) hooted out.

"Good luck!! Be our hero!!" she smiled and walked the other way. You turned back and headed home feeling ashamed. You wanted to enter U.A. high, but you were going to have to leave your friend behind.

'It's a new start, you will have fun!' they said. 'You will be proud to leave your old past to have a better future' they declared. You didn't like it cause you were going to leave your BFF just like her previous 'friends'. The pain of letting go of someone who was always there would be difficult.

Maybe I will still be able to contact her... yea! We could plan out days to hang out, but I hope there is not that much to worry about in U.A. I will have one best friend and that will always be (F/n). I won't fail; even if I do, I will at least be able to be with her again.

"Welcome home!" your younger brother yelped as he rushed to hug you. "Mommy has a surprise for chu!!" he ran back to the living room. You take your shoes off and went to follow your younger brother.

"BAM!!!" your older sister screeched. Confetti was blown into your face and you also tasted something sweet on your tongue. You open your eyes to see your family gathered with presents and food everywhere.

"Well, well, well... if it isn't our future hero..." your older brother smirked. He had a small party hat on and tossed you a small package; You caught it and look at him. "Open it! I wasted half my allowance on it..." he smiled. You slowly opened the package...

"Eh?!?!" you stood there, dumbfounded. "What am I suppose to with this?!" you questioned. You weren't mad cause it's useless, you were just confused and tired.

"Oh, Neko-kun, you didn't tell her about the real surprise." your dad whispered to your older brother.

"I know, I just wanted to see her reaction," he replied. He got up from the couch and placed a metal box in front of you. It was an average box with a keyhole on the side; You look at your brother and he nodded. You placed the key inside the keyhole and slowly swung the door open.

"W-what...?" you stuttered as you pulled out a box that had a new phone in it. "Wow! Thanks!!" you open your arms towards him, but he backed away.

"There is still more stuff in there," he noted.

"Oh..." you get the item out and froze. It was a cute dress with buttons, hearts, music notes, bows, and much more attached to it. It was adorable and you loved it a lot. "Oniichan... I-I.."

"That dress is a special dress, it was your grandmother's dress when she was your age. She loved it very much and wanted it to go down through many generations. Now (Y/n), that dress you are holding up is your superhero costume. It has a very powerful material that doesn't get destroyed easily, so I want you to wear it when you are the finest hero." your mom explained.

"I promise, that I will be the number one hero... and I will wear this when I save people from any danger," you claimed. "Dad... and my beloved siblings, tomorrow I will pass the exam and enter U.A. so I can be an excellent hero just like mom. I promise everyone who loves me, that I will be the future hero that everyone needs!"
