I blinked as me and the grey haired man had both apologized after bumping into each other. I began to sniff at him and his younger companion before tilting my head even more. “You two....smell alot like the guy from before...” I said suddenly before they began to look confused. “The guy from before?, What do you mean?” The one with the grey hair asked. I looked away not really knowing what to say. “Your a strange person...” The one called Shirazu said, he stared at me for a bit. “I-I.....uh....sorry” I said, the one with grey hair stared at me before speaking. “Your the one....who had been recently attacked by a ghoul correct?, A few investigators brought you here to the hospital” I nodded before looking at the building I had just left, I blinked and tilted my head. “Hospital?” I said wondering why it was called that. “Yeah, when the investigators found you they saw you were surrounded in a pool of blood, but still breathing, it was a bit strange really.” Shirazu said, I shrugged slightly. “I...had been injured...but I didn't think there would be so much blood....” The grey haired man stared at me now before speaking in a strangely calm and gentle tone, it was pretty weird as no one had ever spoken this nicely to me before. “It's alright, your safe now so it won't happen again” I stared at him when he said this, I didn't know why but a smile began to appear coming across my face, I nodded at this now. “Ok” Shirazu stared at us while he just looked a bit confused, he seemed to be thinking about something as he kept quiet. “Could you, perhaps tell us the details of what happened in the attack?” The man named Haise asked, I nodded at this before they motioned me to follow after them, I watched them turn around and start walking so I followed after them curiously. We continued to walk as I had begun to look around at the time while the two spoke a bit. “She's a pretty weird girl..., And I wonder what she meant by smell like the other guy....” Shirazu said quietly to Haise, he looked at him and sighed. “We can ask about that later, but right now we should try and figure out exactly what happened.” Shirazu nodded and now kept quiet at the time. I watched them as Shirazu now stayed quiet, I thought his spiky hair was actually pretty weird though the sharp teeth were pretty cool, as I questioned how he did that in my head. We kept walking for a bit before catching a cab, we soon arrived at a sort of Cafe or was it a coffee shop?, I really don't know the difference between these things, though Haise seemed excited about it. We were seated at a table as they picked out their orders, I didn't know what to get so Haise suggested a cup of coffee, I shrugged at this not minding it though we soon began to talk. “The ghoul you encountered....was someone who had just escaped from Cochlea two nights ago, someone of his caliber wouldn't have just let you go.” Haise said, he looked pretty calm though spoke with a slight seriousness in his voice. “Also, there had been an investigator after him, their weapon had been found in the alleyway where you had been found” He said speaking in a low tone, Shirazu kept quiet at the time as I stared at them, our orders had already been taken as it seemed they came here often. “I didn't...see any weapon....though....I saw someone.....they were....being attacked....and the ghoul....he kept stabbing them over and over....”
I said not looking away as I held their gaze. I saw them tense up though only slightly as if they were used to this sort of thing. “He...turned towards me....though looked....confused....., I don't know why....but he shook his head before charging at me.....I didn't know what had happened......but.....” I grew quiet putting a hand to my chest at the time. “I-i...just froze up.....m-my body....i-it wouldn't move...., I just....f-felt this pain....all over......, And........the next thing I know......I'm on the ground.....coughing out blood.......” I said remembering where the wound had been as I put a hand to my chest which was still in pain from the wounds I had, I tensed up a bit feeling these strange emotions come over me. I didn't like them at all, I felt angry that I didn't kill Knight....., Afterall he had left that man....., Left me his scraps....., As if.......he didn't care for the life the man had gave him. Haise and Shirazu stared at me knowing this was hard for me to say, I seemed to only be a high school girl who had suddenly been through such a traumatic experience, having been attacked by a ghoul known as Knight. I just kept my hand over my chest looking at the hole where the wound had been made, it still hurt even if the wound was no longer there. Suddenly I began to smell something it was strange yet smelled good, I looked up before staring at a purple haired woman who had come over with a tray, she put down a few things on the table before locking eyes with Haise as the two stared at each other. I looked at the cup that had been set infront of me, I leaned forward to take a sniff at the brown liquid in the cup, I stopped before going to take a sip not realizing that Haise and the woman had stopped looking at each other as the woman had walked away. I smiled seemingly enjoying the drink as a strange taste hit my tongue, it seemed to satisfy me at the time, though I wondered why this didn't burn my tongue like the tea had. I soon finished the tea before looking at Haise and Shirazu, they stared at me as I looked as if I never had coffee before. “Isn't it great?, The coffee here is amazing.” Haise said smiling, I nodded at this before putting the cup down. “Coffee... I've.....never tasted something like this before.....” I said though I was glad to be able to know the name of the drink. “Really?, Wow well I guess this is your first time then, I'm glad you like it.” Haise nodded at this as he looked around the coffee shop slowly seemingly off in some distant world of his. The cup of coffee seemed to actually make me feel much better as it made me feel warm and this warmth made the pain go away, I didn't know why this happened but I didn't mind it at all. My hunger had seemingly vanished for now like a beast put to rest, it was like this strange drink called coffee actually helped control that.
