so some of you might remember a while ago I posted about discovering a musical called Venice

well I'm slowly becoming obsessed with it and just thought I'd give you guys some reasons to listen to it because there's a lot

1. Leslie Odom Jr., Jennifer Damiano, and Claybourne Elder were in it. Do we really need more reason than that?

2. it's loosely based off of Othello

3. if you like musicals about revolutions (and if you're a fansie, you probably do) then you'll probably like this

4. there's a love triangle

5. there's a Hamilton/In The Heights kind of feel to it in that there's a narrator

6. the lyric "I wanna love and be loved" hit me in my feelings every time

7. LESLIE ODOM JR.

8. it's very relevant to the crazy stuff going on in the world

9. "the world is at war but this country doesn't have to be"

10. I'd never heard of Haaz Sleiman before this but that man has a VOICE wow

11. Claybourne Elder has the lead in one song and um he was great in Bonnie and Clyde but that did not fully showcase his vocal talents he's so good

12. did I mention Leslie Odom Jr.

13. FEMALE EMPOWERMENT (always a plus)

14. reminded me of how great Jennifer Damiano is

15. I don't remember who wrote it but the music is so good

in conclusion, you guys should go look into Venice because I love it
