"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I just did..."

"Yeah, a minute before you're going to possibly see him." Jaemin emphasizes, eyebrows furrowing as it creases his forehead.

The brunet boy smiles sadly and cups his face gently in his hands, "sorry babe, I just didn't want to ruin your mood yesterday."

"Still...." Jaemin trails off, obviously against the fact that Jeno's confronting Renjun right now.

If the elder boy turns up of course.

"Listen, I know this whole thing is so unnecessary and ridiculous... Hence why I want closure with Injun." Jeno explains himself.

"But.... He started it for no reason may I add." The blond haired boy protests.

"Jaem," Jeno looks at him flatly with a serious tone laced in his voice. "Let's be mature about this, like you told him." He states.

"I'm just saying." Rolling his eyes, Jaemin crosses his arms with a huff escaping his lips. "This would've been avoided if he wasn't such an asshole."

"Okay, calm down for a minute."

"Sorry, I'm just really annoyed with him if I'm being honest. But I try not to let it out when facing them." Jaemin admits with a shrug of his shoulders.

"Don't be as immature as them, babe." Jeno snickers, leaning in to kiss Jaemin's nose with a silly grin adorning his face.

The elder boy smiles in instinct and leans in to Jeno's touch, nuzzling his cheek against the soft palm of his boyfriend.

"Do you think he'll turn up?" Jeno asks, tilting his head to the side.

Jaemin shrugs his shoulders once again, feeling lazy to move away from Jeno's comforting touch. "Dunno." He mumbles regardless.

"Well, I will still go there everyday until he shows up just in case he finally cleared his mind." His boyfriend continues to ramble as if Jaemin was actually giving a care.

Well, he does, but right now he's a little tired from today's activities. And getting to have Jeno with him, touching him ever so gently, makes him want to stay like this longer.

"What if he never does?" Jaemin then asks, doubting Renjun's behavior these days.

Okay, maybe he's holding a grudge as well. But that's probably because he's sort of stressed out right now.

Or because he still couldn't believe that after all this time, his best friend, Huang Renjun could be that type of person. Towards him especially.

"Let's not hope for that, he will eventually. The truth will always come out, wouldn't it?" Jeno replies, very sure of himself.

"How do you have such faith in him right now?" Jaemin quips a little bitterly as he mutters out his words.

Jeno rolls his eyes at the attitude and calmly replies nonetheless. "Just because he's my ex boyfriend, doesn't mean I look at him lowly."

"Well he shows it quite boldly to you if I'm being honest." Jaemin continues to grumble.

Clicking his tongue, Jeno lightly smacks Jaemin's bicep and scolds him. "Babe, stop it. Don't you want closure with him too?"

"I guess..." Jaemin quietly yelps the next second when Jeno smacks him again, a little harder this time. "Okay, fine I do. I'm just having a bad day."

"Aww, does my honey want anything? A kiss? Food? What is it?" Jeno coos as he starts rambling off.

Jaemin blushes but covers it with a cough, "can you come over to my place later?" He asks, very quietly.

Luckily Jeno heard it clearly and immediately grins in return. "Will that help you relieve some stress?" He lilts.

Scoffing, Jaemin wraps his arms around Jeno's waist and pulls him closer, then tucking his face in the junction of his neck.

"I'm taking that as a yes." His boyfriend giggles.

Patting his back, Jeno then says, "I have to go now, babe. Renjun could already be there."

"Can I come with?"

"Babe," Jeno drawls off as a warning. "This is a discussion between him and me. Please know that you can't be there... Privacy purposes."

"But... Can I just stand at the side? Where I can see you two?"

"Seriously?" Jeno chuckles, pulling away to look at Jaemin's frowning face. "What's up with you today, hm?"

Looking away shyly, Jaemin then mumbles. "I just want to make sure he doesn't do anything more stupid than he's already have."

Laughing at his words, Jeno pinches his cheek. "Is that all?"

Pursing his lips, Jaemin mutters. "You know..."

"You're a little jealous." Jeno's eyebrows are raised up as he says that, visibly amused by the fact that his current boyfriend is like this.

When Jaemin is still quiet, he couldn't help but tease the elder boy. "You're jealous of your best friend? Really?"

"Hey! It's because he's also your ex boyfriend, he could still like you." Jaemin blurts out.

Snickering once more, Jeno shakes his head and snakes his arms around Jaemin's neck.

"Even if that's true, he doesn't have a chance with me anymore." He meets Jaemin's heavy gaze.

"Because I only have feelings for you, Na Jaemin." Glancing down to Jaemin's lips, he bites back the urge to smirk when he spots Jaemin's tongue licking his own lips to wet them.

"Can I still wait for you? Nearby?" Jaemin diverts the confession for now, still feeling embarrassed from a second ago and instead brings up his previous questions.

The brunet boy raises a brow, "you really want to watch us possibly argue like how everyone talks about when they see me and my "boyfriends"?"

He quickly air quotes with his fingers that has Jaemin chuckling. "They don't know the truth." He says, "besides that, I just want to make sure."

"You're saying it as if I was in a toxic relationship with him."

It was supposed to be a joke, but Jaemin's reply was a little off and it made Jeno wonder.

"You could've been and you didn't realize until now."

Too lost in his thoughts for a moment, he blinks his eyes frantically when he hears Jaemin snap him out of his trance.

"Jen?"

"Huh?"

"So can I go with you? I'll just hide from him, y'know?" Seems like Jaemin's very persistent today.

Can Jeno blame him? Honestly, he really can't.

"Fine... But don't listen to our conversation, alright?" He warns the elder boy.

Nodding off in understanding, Jaemin replies, "I promise I won't. I will just sit a little far off."

Smiling, he then adds. "We're going to my place together anyway, right?" To which Jeno realizes and then nods in return.

"See? I'll wait for you two to finish while keeping an eye on him. I don't really want to wait at the gate today anyway." He says matter-of-a-factly.

Jeno giggles before sharing a quick kiss on the lips with his boyfriend. "Alright, wish me luck."
