Gwen (Max) POV
As soon as the bus stoped, Everyone, And I mean EVERYONE but the bus driver rushed to get out. I was pushed and shoved until I got to the front of the bus.

Shouldering my backpack I thanked the bus driver (Like a GOOD PERSON) and walked to the front door. Looking around the campus I saw some kids studying, some reading, and some goofing off.

There was maybe about 59 kids, me bieng one of them and some of them looked at me staring. Me bieng used to this type of treatment shrugged it off. Almost.

I had just started transition a month ago and I still looked...Ugh... feminine. To them I probably looked like a girl with a flat chest. Shuddering and the thought I sat at a bench pulling out a book. Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. I had started it yesterday and was quite intreged by it.

(WARNING: SPOILERS)

It was about a family who is immortal from drinking from a spring and they meet a girl named Winnie. They never change and basically stay the same for 87+ years.

Spoiler free

I wonder what that would be like, Living forever. Never changing. It sounded good for the few minutes I thought about it. Then I realized never changing meant I'd be stuck like this. Forever. In a gross body that I hated. Never mind.  The bell rang eventually and I closed the book shoving it into my backpack, standing.
Lets get this over with...
