I opened my eyes, and scanned my surroundings quickly. It was like any normal spawn, but the only difference was my memory... I couldn't remember how I died this time...  I shook the thought away and headed to the nearby forest, and began punching a tree for wood.

I opened my eyes, looking around in confusion. The world was made of blocks, and there was a girl punching some trees. I walk over to her and start punching the tree next to hers. She looked like she knows what she is doing and is trying to hurry and get it done.

(Rose)
I hear someone walk up and I look over, where I saw a boy trying to imitate what I was doing. "You're new here right?" I continue punching the tree as I speak and soon clear the truck. I began breaking the leaves, hoping for apples.

(Shadow)
I looked over at the girl. She had a nice voice, and definitely knew what she was doing. Where was I? Who was I? I only remembered my name. "Yeah, where are we? Oh, and what's your name?"

(Rose)
I let out a small laugh. "My name is Rose. I bet you don't know anything but your name right? That's pretty standard for newbies." I finish breaking the leaves and got 5 apples out of the tree. I jump down and land next to the boy, then turn and face him. "What's your name?"

(Shadow)
"ShadowMaer, pronounced: Shadow-Mare. Call me Shadow. Where are we?" I ask, breaking the leaves on my tree and grabbing the three apples that fall from it.

(Rose)
I head to the next tree and begin punching it down. "Nice to meet you Shadow. Right now we are in Minecraftia, and I know this place rather well. If you stick with me, you should be safe. For now we need wood, and lots of it. Grab some more ok?" I finish off that tree as well and quickly craft a crafting bench, some sticks, and two wooden axes. "Here catch." I say, throwing one to him. I grab mine and start chopping down more trees.

(Shadow)
I catch the axe and begin chopping down the tree. Minecraftia? Where was that I lived in... I couldn't remember, the memory just barely tickling the edge of my mind, so I just let it slip away and kept chopping. "So, Rose. How long have you been here? Did you just find me? Or did I just appear next to you? How does this work?"

(Rose)
I smiled at his rapid fire way of asking questions. "Slow down Shadow. We both just happened to be in the respawn void at the same time, so we spawned it at the same time. Its simple Minecraftia logic. And once we make beds and sleep in them, we spawn where ever we last slept, as long as the bed isn't destroyed." I finish chopping down the tree and do a bit of parkour to get to the top of the next tree.

(Shadow)
I follow her up the tree, jumping the same way she did. "Void? Re-spawn? I think your going to have to drill this into me once we have a house." I grin widely. "Man, parkour is easy here! It was so difficult back in..." I trail off, the grin slipping from my face. "How do I know what parkour is?"

(Rose)
I just laugh at his noobish question. "Most likely because you used to play Minecraft in the real world or did parkour in real life. Here the laws of physics are almost non existent." I jump down from the tree and keep gathering wood. "We need lots of wood if we plan on surviving the mobs tonight."

(Shadow)
Pictures of nightmarish creatures, zombies and skeletons, creepers and slimes, tall dark creatures that appear out of no-where... "Where are we setting up our house?" I ask as cheerfully as I can manage, which, to be honest wasn't very cheerful at all. I return to chopping down trees, avoiding thinking about the mobs as best I can. I don't remember how I know them, but I do know that I don't ever want to meet them.

(Rose)
"Hand me all your wood first. Because you don't know much about Minecraftia yet, I will build the house. Oh before I start, would you prefer an underground snug bunker or a house? Honestly a bunker would be safer from the mobs, but its up to you. I can build either fairly quickly." I walk over to Shadow, awaiting his reply.

(Shadow)
"Well, I think.." the images run through my mind again. "...I'd prefer an underground base. Maybe built into a hill. Are there any nearby?"

(Rose)
I thought about that for a moment."Well a hill would be semi safe, but I was thinking more of a bunker that only has a one block hole in and out. That's the safest kind and the easiest to protect." I craft another axe and a pickaxe as well. "I'm going to grab some cobble, so you get all the wood you can. Use this when your first axe breaks." I throw him the wooden axe I just crafted and bound off looking for a shallow cave.

(Shadow)
I watch her vanish over a hill, then I return to my tree chopping. I'll trust her, though I don't know her, because I don't even know myself. Then I hear a rustle behind me, I turn and see a small wolf peeking out from the trees. I return to my chopping, those things are usually harmless, not like the... I wince and miss a swing, distracted by the errant though. I refocus on my task.

(Rose)
I find a cave easily and swing myself over the lip. I started mining and quickly gathered quite a bit of stone and some coal. "Hm... Some iron would be nice." I continue mining, gathering lots of materials.

(Shadow)
I stumble across a meadow, the flowers looking so beautiful so I collect some, then I return to the monotony of wood chopping, not realizing that the sun was already starting to set.

(Rose)
I stop mining for a bit to head up to the surface to check the time. I popped out of the hole and looked up. "Notch dammit, that newbie is going to get himself killed if I dont get back." I jump out of the cave and head back quickly, sprinting until I spot Shadow. "Hey Shadow!"

(Shadow)
I looked up, Rose's voice breaking my concentration and making me realize how low the sun really was. I look at the leaves of the tree I just finished, then I ran over to Rose. "Yes? The sun is getting low, we'd better hurry on that shelter. I have 56 cubes of tree trunk, but I don't see how that helps build an underground bunker." I start chopping the crafting bench in order to pick it up.

(Rose)
"Just throw me your wood as I work. I can do this easy." I quickly craft a stone shovel and dig quickly, swapping it for a pickaxe when I hit stone. I quickly cleared out a 8 by 8 by 8 space, leaving a hole to let light in, but not mobs. I called up to Shadow "Jump in! And put down your crafting table, I need to make torches. Hurry!"

Huzzah! Not many know this, but I've had this particular story in storage for quite some time now. 😂

It's an amazing roleplay between ShadeFinder and I, and this RP is still going to this day!

I hope y'all stick around for updates, because I can promise you this'll be a good one!

Until next time,
