(Just to give me a HEADS UP, I will be talking about the subject of potty training...so Branch, don't take this journal entry out of your journal.  Don't judge it. Just read it if you come across this entry.)

Story-Time with Branch

Babysitting. B-A-B-Y-S-I-T-T-I-N-G. It was a job that I didn't expect to do, but here I am with this job. It wasn't that hard at all. Jasmine was sooo adorable. She was a light blue Troll with silky dark blue hair, and she wore a pretty purple dress. 

Okay, what had happened was that I didn't expect for Jasmine to still be...............potty-training.

I'm still surprised that she hasn't fully learn how to do it at the age she is at the moment. I mean, she's three. It threw me off guard, especially when Poppy told me this at the last minute, but then we worked it out, and I still babysat her. What became a struggle was that she still needed help when it comes to using the bathroom (Wiping, encouraging her to go to the bathroom when she needed to go, etc.) One thing to mention that Poppy told me that Jasmine would refuse to go "number two" whenever someone babysits her, including Poppy herself.

Another thing that Poppy told me was that I had to say the potty terms for her to understand, which it took me fifteen minutes to say because I would usually say words like "number one and number two" and also "poop and pee" (BUT NOT ALL THE TIME!! Just to put it out there in my journal). But it's the other words...I don't know if I want to write them down...if Poppy was here, I would gladly ask her to write them down for me. I'm just not ready to write them down, especially in pen. It would be permanent. I mean, what if someone comes across this page? I hope not. 

But I did say "potty" which I had no problem at all (Okay, it took me ten minutes to say it, hoping that no one else heard me). I frequently had to ask her if she needed to go to the potty (BIG MISTAKE) and I tried to encourage her to try, but she didn't want to at first. Also to note that she had one accident, but I was able to clean it up. I learned a lesson from that: Don't ask her if she needed to go, just encourage her to go on the potty.

I had a great day with Jasmine as we did a lot of things, including the part where we played puzzles together, something that we both have in common. Cute. We also love to read, which is another thing we got in common. I educated her with using the potty, giving her the steps and demonstrating it, using her teddy bear (NOT ME!!! JUST TO ADD THAT INFO IN). Overall, I had fun babysitting her.

BUT what surprised me today (and I thought it was impossible for it to happen but it actually did) was when around 3:32 pm, Jasmine told me that she had to go poo-poo (I'm forcing a smile now after writing that word) while we were dancing to some music. So, I took her to the toilet and put the potty seat on it, sitting her on there. After ten minutes of singing and talking to each other, she finally did it. She went poop (and pee) on the potty.

I got so excited that I cheered and danced in the bathroom. It took me five minutes to finally calm down. After finishing up in the bathroom, her mom (Rachel) came home and Jasmine told her mom about what happened. I gave Rachel the very detail information and was happy for her daughter. When I told Poppy this, she was excited, though she sounded a bit jealous about what happened to me. I told her that it would take some time for her to do it for her. And I spent some more time with Jasmine before I left around the evening. 

I hope to babysit her again on Friday. How fun is that? Wow, I can't believe how much I wrote now. It's more than what I've usual been doing. Now that was something else that I thought it would be impossible for me to do, but I had done it. Okay, I'm going to get myself together, and settle down with a TV Show and a phone call with Poppy.
