*The next morning*

[Gauri's eyes gently opened the moment the light hit her eyes. She looked around the room and realised how annoyingly unfamiliar the room looked. But this was going to be her room now. The room that she'd share with Om.

After 3 months of marriage, Gauri and Om had finally been sharing a room, but under different circumstances. She looked around and saw Om lying down on the couch, fast asleep. The couch barely fit his tall structure, and his feet stuck out of the couch. Gauri hated how uncomfortable he looked and she felt ashamed for taking over his room and bed.

She reached out to the nearby coffee table for a glass of water, but the table proved too far for her petite figure and instantly, the glass fell on the floor, immediately waking up Om.]

Om: (Startled) Kya hua? Koi kamre ke andar aaya hai kya? Yeh security waale bhi---

Gauri: Shaant ho jaayie, glass toot gaya hai, bas

Om: (Rushing to Gauri's side) Tum theek toh ho? Tum itni laparwah ho! Madad nahi maang sakti thi?

Gauri: Uff, galti ho gayi! Subah-subah kyun chilla rahe ho?

Om: (Handing her another glass of water) Accha sorry, yeh lo, paani pi lo

Gauri: Dekhiye, aap hume apne kamre mein shift kijiye, ya aap humaare mein kamre mein so jaayein.

Om: Kyun?

Gauri: Kyun ki sofe par sona hume theek nahi lag raha hai. Aapka pura badan uss par fit hi nahi hota!

Om: Main tumhe chorkar kahi nahi jaane waala hoon, understand? Main bilqul theek hoon!

Gauri: Aap bahut zyaada ziddi ho! Hum apna khyaal khud rakh sakte hai, aur 2 nurses phi hai--

Om: Ho gayi tumhari? Accha ruko, main naashta lekar aata hoon

*Om leaves*

Gauri: (To herself) Ho ka gaya hai unhe? itna khyaal? Humaare liye itni zehmat?

[A few minutes later, Om enters the room with a tray in his hands, and Gauri is shocked by what she sees. Why was Om caring so much for her?]

Om: (Sitting beside her) Accha, doctor ne kaha hai ki subah ko lauki ka juice peena hai. Yeh lo

Gauri: Chee! Nahi, nahi! Main mar jaaoongi lekin lauki ka---

Om: (Placing his finger on her lips) Chup! Mazaak mein bhi marne ki baat mat karna! Samjhi?

Gauri: (Shy) W-w-woh...hume juice nahi peena!

Om: Peena padega! Theek nahi hona hai kya? Main 5 tak geenunga, tab tak juice khatam hona chahiye!

Gauri: Uff!

[Gauri held her nose and drank the juice, before realizing how bitter it tasted. In disgust, Gauri spat the juice out, which landed on Om's crisp white kurta.]

Om: (Angry) Uff, tumse juice bhi nahi pi jaa sakti? Come on!

Gauri: Aap zidd kyun kar rahe the! Chee, itna kadwa hai!

Om: Tum sach mein intehaai ho! Main nahaane ja raha hoon! Baaqi khaana kha Lena, please!

[As Om left, Gauri was so annoyed by how he treated her like a kid. A few minutes later, Gauri pulled the tray closer to her, to eat.]

Gauri: (To herself) Pata nahi samajhte ka hai apne aap ko! Hum apna kaam khud kar sakte hai! Ee khaana bhi hum khud khaayenge! Bade aaye, humaari madad karne!

[Gauri winced in pain as she tried to bring the spoon to her mouth.]

Gauri: (To herself) Aaah! Uff! Chain se kha bhi nahi sakte! Pata nahi yeh chot kab theek hoga---

[Before Gauri could complete her sentence, Om walked out of the bathroom half naked, with a wide white towel wrapped around his waist.
Gauri covered her face in shame, but deep down couldn't get over how handsome Om looked!]

Gauri: (Screaming) Aapko sharam naam ki cheez hai hi nahi! Ee koi tareeka hota Hai ka? Uff!

Om: (Embarrassed) Oh shit! Sorry! Main bhool gaya ki tum bhi iss kamre mein ho! Main bhool gaya!

Gauri: (Covering face with pillow) Humne pehle din hi kaha tha ki aap na, daayre mein rahiye! Aap toh nihaiti bewakoof aur besharam insaan ho! Tauba hai!

Om: Oh god, Maine towel pehna tha, itna overreact mat karo!

Gauri: Aam aadmi bathroom ke andar kapde pehenta Hai!

Om: Accha bas bas! Maine kapde pehen li Hai, tum khaana kha sakti ho!

Gauri: (Slowly opening eyes) Aap Hume apne kamre mein shift kijiye, hum wahi theek hai!

Om: Main Tumhe kahi jaane nahi doonga, okay? Aur aisi harkat agli baar nahi karunga! Sorry!

[Gauri shook her head and focused on eating. As she tried to lift the spoon again, she winced in pain, to which Om rushed to her side.]

Om: (Taking spoon in his hand) Madad maangne mein koi burai nahi hai!

Gauri: Hume madad ki zaroorat nahi hai, hum apna kaam khud kar sakte hai!

Om:(Feeding her) Haan woh toh dikhai de raha hai! Yeh lo

[As Om fed her, Gauri couldn't help but appreciate how kind Om had become. His gentle and calm side had made her realise that she was falling for the right man. A man who would protect her, take care of her and most importantly, respect her feelings.]

Gauri: Aap kaam par nahi ja rahe?

Om: Nahi, jab tak tum theek nahi ho jaati, tab tak main kahi nahi jaa raha hoon

Gauri: Dekhiye, aap humaari wajah se kaam ko nazar andaaz mat karein. Waise bhi, yahaan 2 nurses hai humaari dekhbaal karne!

Om: Mujhe kissi par bhi bharosa nahi hai. Accha, ek baat batao. Jisne tumhe goli chalai thi, kya tumhe uska chehra yaad hai?

Gauri: Nahi, uska chehra dhaka hua tha, ek kaale kapde se

Om: Accha, koi nahi. Police ne Uday Thakur ke aadmi ko jail bhej diya hai, aur iss baar unki zamaanat bhi nahi ho sakti, lekin yeh Uday Thakur---

Gauri: Abhi tak gaayab hai?

Om: (Annoyed) Haan! Woh kameena haath hi nahi aata! Mere saamne hota toh main uska khoon kar deta, I swear!

Gauri: Shaant ho jaayie! Aap agar aisa karenge, toh aap mein aur Uday Thakur mein ka farak hoga?

Om: Bachpan se lekar, aaj tak uss aadmi ne tumhe taqleef di hai, Gauri. Tum shaant kaise ho sakti ho?

Gauri: Gussa hone se kuch haasil nahi hota! Hume apne shankarji par bahut bharosa hai!

Om: Hum Uday Thakur ko dhoond nikalenge, okay?

Gauri: (Smiling) Ji!

Om: (Placing tray on table) Waise...Main shirtless bahut accha dikhta hoon na!

Gauri: (Embarrassed) Ji?! Chee! Ka baat kar rahe hai!

Om: (Coming close to her) Jhoot mat bolo, tumhaare chehre se saaf nazar aa raha hai!

Gauri: (Shy) A-aap na, aankon ke saath, dimaag ka bhi ilaaj kijiye!

Om: Agar karwa loon, toh tum mujhe miss nahi karogi?

Gauri: A-aap na, jaayie yahaan se! Bahut besharam ban gaye ho aap! Chaliye!

Om: (Leaving) Accha ja raha hoon, ja raha hoon. Ek aur baat kehni thi...

Gauri: (Annoyed) Ji, farmaayie!

Om: (Winking) Mujhe miss mat karna!

*Om leaves*

Gauri: (To herself) Tauba hai! Aankh mara! Hey sankarji, kiski entry karwa di humari jindagi mein!

[However, Gauri couldn't help but blush after Om's flirtatious dialogue. Gauri's accident had proved to be an obstacle, which Om and Gauri were well on their way to overcome.

Maybe now, Om would begin to realise his feelings!]
