"You really want to know why I'm doing this? Why I'm making you all suffer? Why I enjoy doing it?"

"Well, yes! That's why I've been asking you for the longest time..

"Fine. But you have to promise you won't give anything away, or I will do the unimaginable to you, your friends, and any or every human on this planet. And, just so know, I won't just kill them.. I'll make them suffer."

"Okay.. I promise. But what do I get in return?"

"I won't make anyone else suffer as badly as the first three.. and I'll actually give you some privacy and let you have your own choices from now on."

"Alright, fine-"

-Socks POV-

"Okay then.. Well, what is bothering you the most?"

I didn't know what to start with. The fact I have been in emotional pain the entire time or the mental pain. That Gulvic is hurting me or I'm hurting myself? I couldn't think of a single answer, so I just blurted out a mix of everything.

"Everything is bothering me Blaza. I can't think straight, Gulvic is tearing me down and apart until I'm nothing, and my head has been killing me ever since last night."

I paused for air, and I felt my eyes get watery again.

"I've been holding everything in because I don't want to worry you guys, but at the same time I know I need to vent. I'm hurting physically, mentally and emotionally. I barely understand anything about Gulvic, and I at least want to know his motivation so we can maybe change his mind."

Blaza didn't know what to say, but he ended up just hugging me. Out of reflex, my arms wrapped around him as well, and Gulvic wrapped his tentacles around him as well. I then just felt a weird feeling go through my body, and I closed my eyes. I opened them again, and I wasn't hugging Blaza anymore. In fact, no one was there. It reminded me of the Black Void situation with the Orange creature, except I could actually see where I was.

It was an open space, and it was colored a bright reddish-pink. I started to look around, and I saw what looked like a screen, an imprinted circle near it, and in the corner was a black mass. It looked stagnant, as it seemed frozen. I decided to ignore it and go near the screen. I walked up to it, and I saw what I was just seeing before I got to wherever I was. After about a minute of watching the screen and trying to make sense of what just happened, I heard a voice from behind me. It sounded similar to mine, only deeply distorted.

"Why hello, Socksfor1.. I would say long time no see but.. heh.. we both know that would be false.."

It sounded way too familiar until my mind caught up with me.

"Hey.. Gulvic.."

Gulvic paused for a second before continuing.

"You know.. Gulvic isn't really my original name."

"Well, I would think that. We kinda just gave the name to you.. specifically Nadwe.."

"Oh yeah.. that kid."

We both paused until I turned and asked,

"Well, what was it?"

Gulvic wasn't expecting me to ask, but he finally sucked it up. His took in a sharp inhale, and admitted in a sigh,

"Blaze. Blaze Angler Everlone. But now, I've come up with a new name, that you could consider a modified copy of the original.."

I interrupted,

"A ripoff?"

"Uhm.. yes. But that new name is Gulvic Strangler Severtone."

"Well, it fits you! It makes sense too. Strangle, Strangler because you've strangled people before. Sever, and tone, sever for obvious reasons, and tone because you can screech in a really high pitch."

He didn't respond for a couple seconds, and then stated,

"You really want to know why I'm doing this? Why I'm making you all suffer? Why I enjoy doing it?"

"Well, yes! That's why I've been asking you for the longest time.."

Gulvic then carefully started summarizing his reasons. He shuffled nervously as he did.

"There are many reasons for why I chose you specifically, and why I wanted to do this in the first place. The main reason is because.. there was a war back when I was fourteen years old. Between humans.."

He paused for a second before continuing.

"and hybrids."

He stopped again for a breath, and I could tell it was a sensitive topic for him. His voice started to break a bit once he continued.

"They killed my whole species. My friends, my family, my neighbors, even strangers. Every. Last. Hybrid. Was killed.. including me. They made me watch my parents get tortured and killed, while I was tied up. I couldn't do anything. To go along with that, my two bestest friends betrayed me when we were running away just the night before. Just to save himself, he told the humans where our whole species was hiding out. There weren't too many of us in the first place, so it was easy for them."

I actually started to feel bad for him. I never thought I would say that in my life. The fact that humans killed all of his species made me understand much more. He turned around, away from me when he started talking about his friends. I'm pretty sure this is because he started crying, and he didn't want me to see. It was obvious he still hadn't moved past those days, and that he held a lot of grudges. He couldn't let go of his original life.

"We were treated brutally, just because we were different. You humans don't like differences, so it made it even worse. Once I died and was a spirit, I promised myself I would get revenge on the human race. Since humans killed all hybrids, I, a hybrid myself, will kill all humans. I would do this by taking over a human's body, and using them as a puppet to kill their own friends and species. The same thing that was done to me. Things always have a way to come back at you, and I decided that I needed to be the karma."

Towards the end, I could tell he just couldn't hold it in anymore. His voice broke probably every 5 seconds. I walked over to him, and put a hand on his shoulder. He jumped a bit when I first touched him, and then turned his head away from me so I still wouldn't be able to see his face. I tried comforting him anyway.

"I see why you're doing all of this now.. you got a very bad first impression on humans. You don't know any different than humans wanting to get rid of hybrids."

He turned his head just slightly, which signaled to me that he was listening.

"I'll tell you the truth right here, right now. And that is that you are living in a fallacy. Humans have changed! We don't want to kill you guys! If anything we would want to befriend you."

A couple seconds later, he sobbed out,

"And how do I know you won't just stab me in the back and betray me? How can I trust you?"

"You don't have to. Just know that I'll be here to support you whenever you need it, even if you have killed two of my closest friends. We've suffered equal-"

Gulvic then whirled around and grabbed me in a hug. He was still sobbing, and it surprisingly felt good to help him out. His touch was cold and wet, I assumed because of the black that was spread across his forearms. Soon after, his tentacles joined in. It felt weird to me. I knew I was getting hugged by a murderer, but at the same time I felt safe once I was getting wrapped in tentacles. I let him just stay here for a couple minutes because I knew he needed it. After those minutes, I heard something from Gulvic that I thought I would never hear from him.. especially directed at me. He whispered,

"Thank you, Socks.."

"..No problem.. Blaze.."

He actually snickered a bit at being called that again, and pulled away from me. I wasn't scratched, hurt, brainwashed, or anything. He wiped away the black that was pouring down his face, smearing his face with black streaks. He was actually smiling for a reason other than murdering someone. It seemed pretty genuine as well, unless he has practiced faking it for years.

"I never thought humans could be kind, let alone stand talking to a hybrid."

"Well, I hope I taught you that."

I then asked after a couple seconds,

"So why did you choose me to possess? And are you going to stop here now, like are you going to stop killing us?"

"For the first question, I'm not sure if you could handle it.. and for the second question.. I'll have to think about it.."

"Uhm.. okay! At least I got some answers.."

"Well it's not like you'll remember this anyways.."

"What?"

"You won't remember this. You're in your own subconscious right now.. this is where I stay. And this is also where your own subconscious stays, but you take his place when I drag your consciousness in here. I am a literal ghost! So I was only partially lying when I said I was your subconscious in the beginning."

He paused once again, thinking of how to continue.

"And you were right. It is two sided. That's the point. Two sides fighting over who should be in control, and that's how it will always work with anything. Animals, plants, any organism. Be it for food, power, freedom, or control. And I want that control."

Gulvic then gestured behind me. I looked back to see he had created a portal of some sort.

"There's the door."

I then slowly walked over to it, and started going in. Just before I totally disappeared from his portion of my brain, he yelled,

"Oh yeah, and Socks, remember that room of black with the three creatures? That one in the middle was me, and the two on the sides were.. my parents. That hallucination for you, were my thoughts for me. And if you feel water going through your head again, you know why."

"Heh.. alright. See you around?"

"Yep.. I'll probably drag you back in here at some point.."

I then went through the portal.
—————————-
I opened my eyes to see Blaza in front of me, looking super worried. Same with Nadwe, Laff, Oompa, Dino, and Tbh. Blaza grabbed me by the shoulders, shook me a bit, and yelled,

"Hello?! Socks?! Are you okay?!"

"Woah, woah, woah, why.. are.. you.. shak.. ing.. meee?!"

The shaking made my voice sound weird, and made it hard to make a full sentence. I felt like I could only speak in syllables. It was quite funny actually. He must've not noticed that my eyes turned back to normal human eyes when he shook me, and when he heard my voice must've been confused. He stopped shaking me and looked at my face, which was a playful smile and squinting eyes that said, 'better watch out.. I'm gonna get you back sometime..'

"Oh, uh.. sorry. I didn't notice you were back. What happened?"

"That's the question.. what did happen?"

"You mean, you don't remember what just happened? Like you don't remember yelling at top of your lungs and getting all your emotions out?"

"No, I remember that.. but I just closed my eyes and now you're shaking me like a crazy person."

"Uh.. no, Socks. That's not what happened at all. You were out for like 10 minutes with blank, black eyes."

"What? Well, then I don't remember anything that happened in my mind.."

"Dang.."

Right after this, which was the most random time, Laff then turned into Ryzo. He the came over to me, and asked,

"Hey, are you alright?"

I was surprised by this, but answered.

"Uh.. yeah! I'm.. fine, Ryzo.."

"Good.. I heard what happened in there.."

"Wait.. what?"

Gulvic then joined in from my mind.

"So you did.. huh?"

"Yeah.. I did. You were talking about the unspoken war and how your parents got kill-"

A tentacle burst out of my back and smacked him right across his mouth, so he muffled. He stopped talking because of this, and realized what he just did. Even though Gulvic was just in my head, I felt his rage burning my chest. He then growled in my mind,

Ryzo.. what the hell did you just say..

Before he burst into control and threw my consciousness out of a window, I managed to get out,

"Welp, good luck with a terrifying, rageful Gulvic, Ryzo!"

-Gulvic POV-

I had just been watching what my host.. Socks.. had been seeing, when Ryzo decided to take control of LaffenGas. He asked if Socks was okay, which was alright. He then said that he heard what we were talking about, which was okay too.. but then he started saying what it was we were talking about. That was not okay at all.

I immediately used a tentacle to shut him up before he said too much, but it was already too late. He had already said loudly and clearly that we were talking about the unspoken war and about my parents. I whispered angrily,

"Ryzo.. what the hell did you just say.."

I was infuriated. The whole group then stared at either Socks or Ryzo. I wanted to scream, but that would hurt Socks, who had just helped me out. I started feeling wrong about the idea of killing all humans, but I knew I couldn't just give up.

They'll probably just betray me anyways.. I won't get attached..

I then decided to take control so I could scream at Ryzo for saying that. Socks' subconscious was trying to hold me back, but of course that did nothing. I entered his consciousness just to shove him out of the room with rage. I immediately jumped up from the couch my host was sitting on, and grabbed the collar to Ryzo's lab coat.

"WHY THE ZAIT WOULD YOU SAY THAT CRINDNI?!"

I purposefully made my voice super low, just to exaggerate my anger. I had my tentacles come up above my head, aiming straight for Ryzo. My mind was foggy from my emotions, and I couldn't think straight. That's what usually happens though.. I have a pretty bad temper.

"IT WAS AN ACCIDENT GULVIC!! I DIDN'T MEAN TO, IT JUST CAME OUT!"

I growled as a response. Blaza then ran up to us two and yelled,

"Hey, calm down!"

He shoved the two of us apart, which made me even angrier. I knew Ryzo could sense my emotions, so he was just staring at me glaring at the intervener. I wasn't sure if I could, but tried making myself taller with black sludge, using my tentacles as stability. It actually worked, and I made myself taller by about a foot. I kept looking between the two with my dark red, hollow eyes, and I felt a lot of black drip down my face and arms. Blaza then continued timidly,

"You two are supposed to be partners, not fighting."

I saw Ryzo shake his head at him with a terrified face. I then responded by not saying anything, not screaming anything, but screeching. They weren't prepared for it at all, so it got to everyone's ears pretty well. Nadwe immediately covered his ears as he had enhanced hearing, and half the others did too. I then felt a weird feeling in my tentacles. It felt like they were about to split open and pour out liquid. I stopped making myself taller, so I could look at my tentacles. They looked slightly inflated for some reason.

Wonder why that is..

I just ended up storming out the room, and going to Socks' room. He might end up confused on how he got here, but it's fine. I started focusing on my tentacles again, and I then I remembered, and knew exactly what was going on. I heard Socks in my head.

Why did you have to take control in such a rush? If it was a rush, that means you wanted to do whatever you wanted to quick. It's been about 5 minutes..

Listen, I-I-I don't know if you would really want to have control right now..

Why wouldn't I? And not be a normal human being?

You wouldn't be a normal human being Socks.. you'd be sick..

Why would I be sick? You're the one here that's sick if anything. Also what's with the sudden British talk?

What do you mean British talk?! I'm saying that you'll literally be si-

Socks then took over since I was in the middle of saying something.

-Socks POV-
I came back into control, and was immediately met with a feeling of nausea. I then ran out the door and into the bathroom just in case I did throw up. I heard Gulvic in my head, and he deadpanned,

I warned you..

For some reason his voice made me gag, almost throwing up. I had no idea why coming back into control made me so queasy, but it did.

So you literally meant sick..

I felt him roll his eyes in my head. I then felt the sensation of liquid rolling down the side of my mouth to my chin. It was warm, and it felt thick. I rubbed it off, and of course it was my black saliva. I accidentally got some on the side of the sink, but I didn't bother to wipe it off.

Here.. let me do something real quick..

He then made me walk outside, and let all of his tentacles free from my back. This made me feel just a bit better. He then proceeded to release a ton of black onto the ground from them. When he was finished only a couple seconds later, I felt much better. I exhaustedly asked him,

"What was that? What just happened?"

"Yeah, uhm.. so when I feel intense emotions, my tentacles get puffed up with that liquid. This is what happened the other night with your eyes. When you take control when that happens, my tentacles are no longer extracted, meaning you still have all of that in your body. The only way to get it out is by throwing up, going through the eyes, or through your forearms. And if you think that was bad, better hope it won't get worse in the future.."

"Oh, great. Well, let's get back inside now.. the rest might be wondering where we are.."

"Let's? You mean.. I.. right?"

I felt a weird feeling in my eyes, but it wasn't like normal when my eyes change to black. I then got that feeling that I didn't understand myself. I then continued,

"No, I don't. We're one person, remember?"
