Skye's POV

I wake up at 8am, with my phone alarm playing 'I'm so tired' by Lauv & Troye Sivan. Leaning over to the nightstand I press the off switch and climb out. Walking to the closet I pull out a pair of jeans and a white top. I place them on the bed with a pair of white matching underwear.

I head to the bathroom and have a quick shower. Once I'm done in the shower I get changed and then make my way to the kitchen where there's a plate of pancakes waiting for me. "Thanks, Chelsea." There's a piece of paper on the table with my name on it.

Opening the letter I read it.

Dear Skye,
I'm sorry I can't give you a lift to the Country Club this morning. There's a few things that I need to take care. I made your favourite and I'm hoping that's enough of an apology that I give you for not driving you.

Love

Chelsea

Ps. I found the person that gave me the keys to the car. I'll tell you who it is this afternoon. I need to make sure that I have the right person first.

Jaxtyn was the one that gave her the keys. He's told me a number of times that he's do anything to protect me and giving Chelsea a car is something that he'd do because everyone knows the type of car Chelsea drives because of the time she drove me to Dad's place.

I pour maple syrup onto the pancakes and start eating. While having breakfast my phone goes off and I look at it. There's a message from Chelsea and I open it.

Chelsea: I'm sending a friend to pick you up. He'll take you to the Country Club.

Me: Thanks.

I wonder who she's going to send over.

After breakfast I wash the dishes and then walk to the bathroom to brush my hair and teeth. Once that's finished I grab all my stuff and sit on the couch. Waiting for the friend to pick me up.

There's a knock on the door and I walk over to it. Opening the door I see Jaxtyn and a smile breaks out across my face. "Hey, Jaxtyn. I should have known that Chelsea would send you down here to pick me up. After all that girl knows we spend a lot of time at the same place." My heart begins to race as I look at the handsome man in front of me.

"Are you okay with me driving you there?" Jaxtyn asks. "Or is it weird?"

Shaking my head I say. "It's not weird, Jaxtyn. We're going to the same place. I know you've got a strong relationship with my family and I'm not going to be the one that steps between that."

"Thanks." He leads the way to the lift and I follow closely behind him. A smirk appears on my face. "Are you trying to trick me into kissing you?"

He scratches the back of his head. It's a nervous habit of his. "Yeah,"

I throw my head back and laugh. "All you have to do is ask, Jaxtyn. I'm not going to deny you kissing me. I like it a lot." My face starts to heat up as I tell him that small piece of detail.

"I know this is moving fast for us, Skye. I was just wondering if you'd like to go on a date. You don't have..." I shut him up by placing my lips on his and kissing him. The door to the lift opens and I pull him inside, without missing a beat I press the button for the garage.

Pulling away from him I say. "I would love to go out with you, Jaxtyn. Don't ever think I'd say no to you. You're the one I have wanted for years, but I hated you for too long as well."

He looks away from me and says. "I'm sorry, Skye. I was an immature guy that didn't know what he had in front of him. It just took me this long to realise you are the one I want to be with."

"I'm glad, Jaxtyn. We have to take things slow. I'm not ready to..." He places his hand on my lips. "You don't need to explain, Skye."

Jaxtyn parks the car close to the entrance of the Country Club. He steps out of the car and rounds it. He opens the door for me.

Grandpa's going to like the fact that he's acting like a gentleman to me.

Looking up I see my family at the entrance and we walk over to them hand-in-hand. Grandma rushes down the stairs and embraces me. "I'm glad you two talked. Now, I have to take my Granddaughter to the shooting range."

Jaxtyn's mouth opens and closes a couple of times before Grandpa says. "Have fun." His attention turns to Jaxtyn. "You can fill us in on everything that happened yesterday when you kissed my Granddaughter, up until you just dropped her off here and don't think of leaving anything out."

Dad adds. "We've got a warning for you if you ever dare hurt my daughter."

Jaxtyn looks at him. "Darius, you know I'll never do that again. I know what I want and I'm going for it."

Grandma and I walk over to the golf cart and we take it down to the shooting range, which is on the other side of the golf course. When we get there a guy is waiting for us. He holds his hand to Grandma and says. "It's good to see you again, Lena."

A smile spreads across her face. "You too, Robert. I'm glad you could stop what you were doing and come here."

"I would do anything to help my favourite spy. You were the one that trained me to do the job well and now I'm the one doing your old one." His eyes land on me and he says. "Who's the recruit?"

"Robert, this is my Granddaughter, Skye Reeves. She's not a recruit for the agency. She has a few problems going on in her life and she needs our help with it. So, we're going to teach her to fire a weapon."

"Have you used a gun before?" he asks me.

Shaking my head I say. "This is my first time."

Robert leads me into the range and gives me a pair of ear muffs. "I want you to put this on. It will block out the sound of the gun firing. There's a few spies in here that are practising too. Lena, will know a bunch of them."

Grandma follows closely behind us and she's greeted by a bunch of people here. "It's good to be back here. I miss this place, but giving up the life to raise my child was the right decision." I hear her tell people.

I stop in front of one of the ranges and pick up the gun. Standing with my feet apart, my arms outstretched. Looking at the target I aim at it, but I don't fire the gun. I turn the safety off the gun and then fire at the target.

Grandma walks behind me and looks at it. "Damn, Skye. You're definitely like me. Hannah and Nicole are going to have problems when they see us again."

Robert looks at all the shots in the head and says. "The agency need to know about her."

Grandma touches his arm. "I don't want them to know about my Granddaughter. She deserves to have the life she wants and doing what she's doing now is making her happy. Just leave the girl alone." With that she leads me away from the shooting range.

We climb into the golf cart and drive back to the Country Club.
