A small head popped up from a half cracked shell, with big, half-confused eyes decorating the face. Its face.

It has a face.

"Ugh...not a warm welcome," it said, rubbing its head with a small hand.

It has hands.

Hyeri screamed her lungs out, starting to pick up random things from around her and throwing them at the weird creature on the floor. The creature started to dodge them gracefully and tried to tell her something she couldn't even hear from all the fear and high pitched screaming.

The creature then started flying. Dust of light sprinkled from its wings like glitter as they worked in the air, and Hyeri's screaming started to decease as she stared up at the magical dust circling the creature, making it look like a breathtakingly beautiful miniature fairy.

"If you start screaming again, I will drop a lot of water on you with my magic," the fairy threatened, its index circling the air, sprinkling more light dust.

Hyeri zipped her lips as soon as the words have been said, not wanting to be drenched in water, especially on her bed. She ended up lying on her back with her elbows holding her up, still mesmerised by the little fairy flying around the small chandelier in the centre of the ceiling like a moth.

"What are you..." She asked, even though she already knew the answer; she felt stupid for being scared of such a small creature, but she could not help it as she was seeing something that no one ever saw before. No one ever thought it even existed.

The fairy neared her and flied still in front of her face at her eye level.
It was so tiny. It was the size of around 3/4 of her palm. Its dark hair fell down in a cute fringe, covering its forehead from the world. It was wearing loose clothes: white shirt with a tiny loosened black tie, and a pair of -what looked like dark red shorts- that covered most of his stick legs.
She stared breathlessly at its features as her eyes landed on its blank eyes staring at her.

"My name is Jungkook," she saw its little lips form the words out. "And as you can see, I'm a miniature fairy."

"...How did you get here? Are you even real?" She started to blink continuously in hope to wake up from the crazy dream she thought she was having.

"Hm," the fairy started to fly around her head as the dust landed on her skin and disappeared into nothing. "I'm hungry."

Hyeri stared at him nibbling a halved cookie as she thought about how in the world she had ended up in the kitchen with a tiny fairy sat on the table. Just about 2 days ago she was happy about the end of unit test results she got and now she was facing a whole other realm that no one had idea it was right around the corner of their clueless eyes.
His little legs were spread out as he crunched on the cookie like an innocent little child, and Hyeri wondered about his age.

"...How old are you?"

"17." The words came out muffled and she sat frozen on her seat. She let the word sink in her system before she shot up from her chair.

He's just about my age!

"What!? I thought you were 5! Is this some kind of fairy age?" The words sounded very rude, but she was not aware of that as she kept repeating the number a thousand times in her head.
He looked at her, his big eyes boring into her; the cookie crumbs around his little mouth made it hard for Hyeri to look at him seriously.

"You did hear about the saying 'never judge a book by its cover', right?" He said, his cute voice making her want to pinch his face. He was right, Hyeri thought as she eyed his puffed cheeks and his little shoes.

He took another small bite, chewing for a while then swallowing it. "It's a long story."
