" Because..... I Love her."

Both Jai and Rads snapped their heads in shock towards Sam whose back is facing them. Then they both looked at each other in disbelief and then at Sam.

" What?" Rads whispered.

" Yes." Sam said and turned to look at them.

" Are you serious?" She asked him and he nodded.

" How? When?" She asked him with wide eyes.

" Always." Sam replied sighing.

" What do you mean always?" Jai voiced out.

" I have always loved her...infact only her but I didn't realise it sooner." Sam said looking down.

" Sam! Can you please elaborate? I can't understand anything!" Rads exclaimed impatiently.

" Guys, I have loved her from college itself but I didn't know that it was love. We used to be over protective over her but I used to be over possessive over her then and even now also. I used to get jealous whenever she talks to any guy or any guy comes close to her. I always had feelings for her but didn't realize it until......" Sam explained intensely and stopped closing his eyes tightly.

" Until?" Jai asked sternly.

" Until I had done the most stupidest thing and lost her. Her slap that day showed me the truth and when she walked away from me, I realised I loved her. But it was too late as I lost her. I tried to apologise her but she disappeared and I didn't get the chance to say I am sorry and I love you to her. And when I saw her here after 2 years I decided I should apologise and get back my best friend. I apologized her and I know it's difficult for her to forgive but it's ok because I know I don't deserve her forgiveness." Sam said sadly and blinked back the tears.

Rads was grinning with tears and Jai was thinking hardly with a frown. Rads saw love in his eyes these past few days when they were with him but she didn't know that Sam actually loved Piyu. She know how much Piyu loved Sam and always felt bad for her unrequited love.

" Sam, what I heard is true? I mean that you love her?" Rads asks him going near him holding his hands.

" It's true. I have always loved her, loving her and will love her forever." Sam said honestly making her hug him tightly.

" Jai did you listen? Sam loves her." Rads said happily looking at him but Jai stood calm.

" Rads please don't tell Piyu about this. If she comes to know about my feelings she may again distance herself from me and hate me again. I don't want to lose her again, I am happy just being friends with her So please don't tell her." Sam pleaded.

"  But Sam! Piyu lov......" Rads was cut off.

" Guys we are back!" They heard Piyu from the other side.

Three of them snapped their heads towards her to see Piyu grinning widely and Pari holding a big white fluffy teddy bear in her hands.

Sam composed himself and walked towards them smiling.

" Angel, what's all this?" Sam asked smiling at her.

" Didi gave me." She replied smiling at Piyu.

" Piyu, why did you buy all this? She has already many fluffy toys." Sam asked her.

" It's ok Sam, I want to give her something that's why I bought it for her." Piyu said smiling at Pari.

" Mumma must be waiting for you, shall we go home?" He asked her and she nodded.

" Ok guys we will leave now, bye. See you again." Sam said to his friends.

" Oh!.....ok Bye Sam....." Piyu said and bent down to hug Pari " Bye Pari." Piyu said kissing her cheek.

" Bye didi." She giggled.

" Hey munchkin bye." Jai said shaking her hand.

" Bye." She said shyly.

" So, Meer ki Angel, bye for now and hope we will meet soon again." Rads said kissing her cheek and looked at Sam who just looked back at her.

" Ok didi." She smiled.

" What do you say Sam? We should meet again right?" Rads asked seriously.

Sam just stared at her nervously and looked at Jai who is also looking at him seriously.

" Y.yeah....." Sam stuttered.

" What happened guys?" Piyu asked confused looking at their strange behaviour.

Sam looked at Rads pleadingly not to say anything to Piyu.

" Nothing, I am just angry at him as he doesn't meet or call or message us after the project is finished." Rads said to her.

" Yeah she is right Sam, we all should meet each other often and spend time together you know." Piyu said to him.

" Yeah I know. Sorry, I was busy with work but I promise that we will meet now and then." Sam said smiling at them.

" Ok." Piyu said.

Sam and Pari went away waving bye to them while Rads, Jai and Piyu also went back to their homes with millions of thoughts in their minds.

It was two days since everyone met at the mall. Piyu and Sam miss each other so much. Sam doesn't know how will he tell her that he loves her and thinks that he doesn't want to lose her again in the name of love. While Piyu wants to suppress her feelings thinking that Sam doesn't love her and doesn't want to lose his friendship.

Both think that their love is unrequited and hesitates to express their feelings for each other but their hearts crave to be with each other.

A knock on the door of her cabin disturbs the serial thoughts of Piyu.

" Come in."

The door opens and Piyu looks up to see Jai standing there smiling at her.

" Hey Muffin." He says and sits opposite to her.

" Jai! What a surprise! You told that you will be busy this week." Piyu said.

" Yeah, but this is more important." Jai said.

" What?" She asked confused.

" Talking to you." Jai replied seriously.

" Ok.....what is it?" She narrowed her eyes at him.

" Did you forgive Sam?" Jai asked directly.

" Huh? Jai why are you asking about this now?" Piyu shifted uncomfortably.

" Just answer my questions Piyu." Jai said sternly.

" Yes." She said.

" What yes?" He asked.

" I forgave him." She said sighing.

" What? Just like that?" He asked angrily.

" No, it was difficult at first but I did.....but....." Piyu trailed off.

" But?"

" He doesn't know that I forgave him." Piyu said.

" I don't understand Piyu. How? After what happened, how can you forgive him so easily?" Jai asked frustrated.

" After What happened Jai?" Piyu asked with straight face.

" Oh my God! Did you forget what he did to you?" Jai yelled.

" What he did Jai?" Piyu asked calmly.

" Have you gone mad Piyu?" Jai yelled.

" No, tell me Jai what he did?" Piyu asked.

" He hurted you Piyu believing his girlfriend, he didn't trust you, he didn't trust us, he ignored us when he got a girlfriend, you loved him Piyu but he loved someone else." Jai yelled at her.

" Yes, I agree that I have been hurt by him. But Jai once be in his position and think. He was manipulated by that girl, she fed him lies about me and he didn't believe her until he asked me. I didn't say anything and what I said after that proved him that I did it. And about the love, I never told him about my feelings. If only I had told him earlier, things would have been different. My cowardness led to all these things." Piyu exclaimed calmly with tears in her eyes.

" Jai we were best friends. We fought and left him because of some stupid girl lies. What type of friends we are Jai who left their friend alone when a misunderstanding came between them?" Piyu asked him and Jai just looked at her frowning.

" Tell me Jai, which true friends will leave their friend just like that when they fought?" Piyu shouted at him and  he just looked down in shame.

" Mistake is mine. I gave the chance to hurt me, I have been hurt and I slapped him that day for his mistake before everyone and he just stood there hurt and shocked that's it." Piyu looked down.

" I slapped him right then why did we punish him by leaving him alone for two years?" She asked him and he looked at her with tears.

" Mistake is mine and because of me you two also had cut all ties with him. I am ashamed of myself for that." She said to him with tears flowing from her eyes.

"No no Piyu, it's not your mistake..... situation was like that." Jai tried to console her.

" No Jai you don't know, unknowingly what we have done to him. We left him when he needed us the most." Piyu said bitterly.

" What do you mean?" Jai asked cautiously and Piyu gulped the lump formed in her throat.

" That day after what happened we didn't give him at least a chance to explain himself. I went to New York and you two also maintained distance with him. After one month we left him, his....his......" Piyu cried.

" What happened Piyu?" He asked in fear.

" His father died Jai. His father died and he was alone.....all alone. He needed us Jai and we weren't there for him. " Piyu sobbed and Jai sat shocked.

" He was alone. He didn't have anyone to share his grief and pain. His company was in trouble and he had to go through struggle to save his father's company from evil eyes. We weren't there for him to support him and to help him. We had done a big mistake Jai. If he had done a mistake due to some misunderstanding then we had done a big mistake than him by abandoning him." Piyu sobbed hardly lying her head on the desk.

Jai was also crying keeping his head in his hands. He didn't know any of these things. He didn't know that they were also wrong and they have also committed a big mistake.

He stood up and went to Piyu. He consoled her by rubbing her back and she hugged him crying vigorously.

" When we met for the project, he apologized. He cried saying sorry to me but didn't even once mentioned about his father. I came to know about this from Papa and he didn't say until I asked him to say. How couldn't I forgive him Jai? How couldn't I?" Piyu asked him crying.

" Yeah you are right. You did the right thing Piyu. We hurted him more than he hurted us. It should be us asking him for his forgiveness." Jai said guiltyly wiping her tears and she smiled at him.

" Piyu....."

" Hmm....."

" Do you still love him?" He asked her.

" Umm..... I.I....." Piyu stuttered nervously.

" It's okay.....relax." Jai said hugging her.

" Everything will be alright Piyu. Don't worry." Jai smiled at her pulling away from hug.

" I hope so." She said smiling back.
