Mallory was walking with Selena, the prom looming over head. It was in two days. Mallory was going to have to tell Selena, before the dragoness found out herself by looking at the poster board, that she wanted to go to the prom with her. Esperenza was walking behind them, she was looking downward but a massive smile was on her face. Mallory guessed she'd looked at the board yesterday and saw who's name Jake put. Selena stopped. "I want to check the board to see who's going with who." Mallory froze.

"No! Don't go there!" She shouted blocking Selena's path. Selena looked at her. Mallory folded her wings. "Selena, I need to ask you something. Can we go somewhere private?" Selena looked unsure but nodded. "I said private." Catching the drift, Esperenza left.

After a while they reached the "Ghost" classroom. Selena turned and walked toward Mallory. "What do you want to ask?" Mallory forced herself to swallow the lump in her throat, she was incredibly nervous.

"D-do you.... want...." Mallory began, this was hard to say.

"Do I want?" Selena prompted, and she had gone slightly pink.

"T-to... go to..."

"Prom?!" Selena nearly screamed, and was blushing rose red. The SeaWing stepped back, shock lighting her face. Mallory waited for her reply, watching her friend. Selena then smiled, widely, like this was the most perfect day of her life. Mallory wondered why she had that expression. "Yes," Selena's voice wobbled," Yes, always yes." Mallory began to blush as Selena had started hugging her. Mallory closed her eyes this was a perfect moment. Mallory still hadn't revealed her feelings but this was enough for now.

Mallory's eyes followed Selena as she ran to tell Coral, and then she saw that Coral had said something that made Selena blush. Mallory couldn't help but smile. She lay on her side and gently drifted off to sleep.

When Mallory awoke she saw that Selena was asleep and leaning on her and she blushed. She rested her head on Selena's. Mallory looked up and saw stars had appeared in the sky. She picked Selena up and she returned to the Winglet, where the rest were asleep. She placed Selena on her bed and Mallory went to her's. She looked over to Selena's bed.
