Akechi was walking to school and was excited to see his friend (Y/N). He was a great friend and was the only one he trusted with his situation about his family. He didn't show his excitement but he could surely feel it on the inside.

"(Y/N)!" He exclaimed jogging up to his male friend. (Y/N) turned to look at her friend and smiled a bit. That's the one thing that Akechi didn't know about her was that she wasn't a guy, she just dressed like one to fit in with the high expectations at their school for the guys. All the girls were looked down on for being girls, it wasn't too bad now, but it was still pretty bad with some of the male teachers.

"Hey Goro!" She said using a slightly deeper voice with him. Even though she trusted him, she didn't trust him enough with this secret. She did everything as a guy and the only one who knew about this was her mom.

"How are you on this fine morning?" Akechi asked her as they walked the rest of the way to school. (Y/N) adjusted her bag and blazer as they walked and turned her head some to face him.

"I'm doing well thing morning, Goro. how about you?" She asked him and looking into his stunningly, dark red eyes.

"I'm doing okay. I got into contact with my real father yesterday." He said looking down as the ground as they walked and that shocked (Y/N). She knew that his real dad didn't want him so it must've been really hard for him to see him face to face.

"Do you want to come over and talk about it at my house after school?" She asked him as they walked into the building. Akechi nodded and they walked their separate ways for the day.

(Y/N) felt as though the day was passing by extra slow today because of what Akechi told her earlier.

When the last period bell rang she packed up her bag and walked out of the classroom and made her way downstairs to the entrance to meet him and walk to her house. She felt that after knowing Akechi for five years that she could finally reveal her secret to him.

"Hey Goro, ready to go?" She asked as she approached him at the doors. He nodded and gave her a soft smile and they exited the school and walked to the station where they caught the necessary trains to her house and walked the rest of the way.

"How was your classes today?" She asked as she dug around in her bag for her house keys.

"My day was fine. I take it yours was really slow?" He asked and she nodded as she opened the door and took off her shoes. He followed in suit and they walked upstairs to her room. As she opened the door she walked inside and sat on her bed.

"So how was it meeting your real dad Goro?" She asked hesitantly and looked at him. He sighed and sat down next to her.

"It was awful, he said so many mean and rude things to me just for being his child. It was terrible I tell you." He said letting some tears build up in his eyes. (Y/N) couldn't take it much longer and pulled him into a hug.

"I have something I want to tell you too Goro, and promise me you won't hate me for it." She whispered softly into his ear. She felt him nod before pulling away and standing up from her bed and started to unbutton the blazer and drop it on the floor. She then reached for the wig that she wore during the school day and out in public taking it off and setting it on the bedside table.

"I'm actually a girl.." She said softly and looked at him with her doe like eyes.

"(Y/N)... Why didn't tell me this before? We've known each other for years." He said standing up and going over to her and held her hands.

"I-I was scared of what you would say.. I've been like this for so long because of all the high expectations that were placed on the boys and how girls are always mistreated. I figured if I acted and dressed like a boy then I wouldn't be judged as harshly." She said with a few tears sliding down her face. Akechi lifted a hand up and cupped her cheek softly.

"I'm sorry that you feel that way, I didn't think anything of those expectations placed on us at school." Akechi said and wiped away her tears.

"If there's one thing I learned, it's that I love you (Y/N) (L/N). Whether or not you act and dress like a boy, it won't change how I feel about you." He said placing a kiss, gently upon her lips and she was shocked but slowly melting into the kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck to get closer and deepen the kiss.

"I love you so much Goro Akechi." She whispered as she pulled away from the kiss. He smiled softly and pecked her cheek.

"I love you so much more (Y/N) (L/N), I don't care how things are." He said before pulling her close and sitting on the bed with her.

She laid her head on his chest and they laid there for the rest of the day, ignoring everyone and their school work, just focusing on themselves.

"I'm glad I could tell you my secret Akechi." She said softly and stayed close to him; he wrapped her arms around her and rubbed her shoulder softly.

"I'm glad you could trust me with your secret (Y/N)." He said softly and kissed her forehead. Today was the best day of (Y/N)'s life ever.
