What a surprise.. I'm slightly changing some characters' backstories again. Because plot, I guess.

Also, just in case I didn't point this out before:
A character's subplot -at least in this story- will begin as soon as they're introduced. So begin to see some Jaya/Sibling/Whatever subplot comes to my mind moments here and there before 'the big conclusion'.

So if I include too much Jaya, well.. There's never enough Jaya.

And.. I may or may not have included a few extra Jaya in these three parts just because I had so many ideas that would only fit here.. :)

Okay, I tortured you enough with my notes, onto the story!

Third POV

"Are we there yet?" Jay groaned, for probably the fifth time in the last 10 minutes.

"No, Jay, we are not there yet." Lloyd glared at him. They were all pretty tired. It was now noon and they had been walking for like four hours now. They had -luckily- managed to exit the forest and they were now walking in the middle of the road that led to the city.

"And do we have to go through a desert?" He complained once again. "I mean, I've had enough of living in a desert all those years, can't we just-" Jay continued, before Kai finally snapped.

"Well, maybe we're going through a desert so people don't see us and we don't end up dying in prison!" Kai interrupted him, making the brunet back down.

They continued walking for a bit, when they heard a loud noise coming towards them. They quickly turned around to see a truck was coming towards them. Fortunately, they were a safe distance away from it, enough for Nya to make out a plan.

"Guys.. I think that truck is going to the city. How about we sneak in?" She smirked, pointing to the truck. The others didn't like the idea at first, but it was the only way for them to get to the city as fast as possible, so they ended up agreeing.

The vehicle came even closer, as the teens got to the side of the road, waiting for it to approach them.

"Okay. See that platform thingy on the back? Jump on it in three.." Kai explained as he started counting.

"Two" It got even closer.

"Jump!" The truck passed them as they managed to get on just in time, without the driver noticing.

"Now Nya!" Kai yelled through the wind as Nya nodded and pulled out a small dagger. She started lock picking the small metal lock that was hanging on the back doors of the vehicle. She finally unlocked the doors, quickly jumping into the small space that was inside along with the others closing the doors afterwards.

"How did you even know that this truck transported stuff?" Lloyd wondered, taking deep breaths in between words.

"Oh, I didn't. Just guessed it, I guess." Nya casually said, raising her shoulders, as Kai nodded.

"Wait.. So you're telling me. That you made us jump on a moving truck. That you didn't even know if we could get in! You could have got us killed!" Jay snapped.

"Got a problem with that, Sparky?" Nya smirked, Jay giving her a glare.

"Now, if you two stop acting like babies, can we please just stay in peace?!" Lloyd moaned, turning their attention to their surroundings.

Luckily, the door that led to the driver's seat was closed, so if they were quiet, they would most likely not get caught. The small space they were in was just stuffed with a bunch of random stuff like decorations, devices and even books.

At first, they thought that someone was moving out or something, but every single product had a company logo on it, so it was probably just some special delivery.

"I guess we can wait out here.. It will be enough time for us to discuss what we're going to do when we get there." Kai sighed, looking over at Jay who had a 'special plan' as he said yesterday.

"Well, once we get there, the first thing we do is find a way to get you covered. They mustn't notice you. After that, we stay over at my friend's house until we finally get out of there and get the scythe." Jay rushed to say, finally taking a deep breath at the end.

"And you think your friend can take care of our disguises? Because we don't have any money to buy clothes, you know." Kai sat down on the ground, resting his chin on his hands.

"I don't think we can walk around with masks in the middle of the city." Nya continued, rolling her eyes.

"I guess you're just gonna have to keep a low profile until we find a way to get to my friend's house. Well, it's more like an apartment but you get what I mean." Jay sighed.

"Don't we have extra clothes here? Maybe if we look around-" Lloyd suggested before Kai cut him off. "There doesn't seem to be anything here. We would have found some by now."

After a bit of chatting about their plans they finally decided on what to do. Just lay low, find Jay's friend and get out of the city as soon as possible.

Just then, the vehicle suddenly stopped, as they now knew it was time to leave. They took a small peak out the door to see that they were indeed in the city. They counted down to three, just like they did before, waiting for the driver to open the doors. As soon as he opened them, the teens jumped out of the truck and ran off only for Lloyd to say "Thanks for the ride!", leaving the driver confused as everybody stared at them.

They managed to make it to the main park of the city, a square surrounded by many tall buildings, shops and of course, tourists. "This way." Jay pointed to a nearby block of flat, while everyone else followed his lead. They waited outside until another resident finally got out, leaving the door open so they could sneak in.
They got up to the third floor, where there was a single apartment.

"Are you sure this is it?" Lloyd wondered, making Jay face him. "Well, if he hasn't moved out, I'd say that this is probably it." The brunet chuckled, reaching his hand out to ring the doorbell.

The waited for a bit until the door finally opened. A muscular, raven haired teen was standing in front of them, casually listening to music while wearing his headphones. Once he looked up and noticed the four of them -well, especially Jay-, his jaw dropped.

"J-Jay?" He gasped in a scared tone of voice. "Why are you here?! And why are you with these people?! Don't you know who they are?!" The brunet tried to calm him down, only for him to get more tense. "I-I'm calling the cops!" He pulled out his phone and started dialing the number when Jay suddenly grabbed it out of his hands and threw it on the ground, making the screen shatter.

"Dude! I just fixed that!" The teen complained, finally seeming to calm down. He took a few deep breaths before continuing. "Okay, now tell me.. Why are you with these nasty people? What's happening?"

"Now, let's all head inside. Lloyd here can explain everything to you." Jay pointed at the blond, who was looking just as confused as the siblings. The raven eventually gave up and led them inside to his small apartment, sitting on the couch. They all gave Lloyd a look, signaling him to speak. He explained everything once again to their new 'friend', as the raven stood there in boredom.

"Uh-huh. So.. You want me to believe all of that.." He gave them a suspicious look. "Come on, you can't not believe us! Besides, remember your mom.. It all ties up.." Jay slightly whispered the last words so that no one else can hear them. "Nope. I believed you when you said to trust those criminals. Ed and Edna are looking for you and the blond dude over there. So you better be happy I didn't tell my dad." He defended himself, glaring at his best friend. Jay and Lloyd started thinking about Ed and Edna and how they were probably looking for them. The rest stood there in silence, until Kai finally had enough.

Look dude, we left our homes to go on this mission, we're over here risking our lives and whether you like it or not, you're in this." Kai growled, standing up from his seat. "And if you don't get your spoiled butt up to fight, then we'll have to see what your daddy will really learn." He threatened, Nya eventually holding him back.

"Kai, at least be polite, he already believes we're some evil masterminds, don't prove his point." She whispered into her brother's ear, before him finally sitting down.

"Fine. If you're playing with threats, I'll help you. I hate life anyways.." He slightly grinned, earning a punch on the shoulder from his friend. "It was fun when I had my.." He slightly smirked earning a glare from Jay.

"Don't you dare-"

"Soprano Buddy."

"Uh.. What?" Nya slightly laughed, making Jay bury his face in his hands.

"My father always forced me to go to a Dance/Music School to 'follow his path', as he says. Well, I hated it. That's why I moved out. I can just pretend I'm going. Anyways, some of the exams were based on singing and let's just say that high notes aren't really my thing.." He chuckled, pointing to Jay. "So with this dude's squeaky voice and some lip syncing I managed to pass these types of tests."

"So.. You know how to sing?" Lloyd turned to Jay, who responded negatively.

"Nah, I didn't learn a single thing." He chuckled.

"Well, if I come with you, you have to help me out first." Cole smirked, making the others face him. "There have been a lot of criminals these days and my dad's hosting a ball type of party after his concert with the Royal Blacksmiths. Even the emperor and the emperess are going to be there. Guards are way too obvious, so I was wondering.." He took a brief pause. "Could you protect them? Undercover. We don't want anyone to be suspicious and we can't risk something bad happening to them."

All of them thought for a bit, as Nya went to question how they weren't going to be recognized, a question that the teen refused to answer.

"We're in." Lloyd spat out, making everybody stare at him. The boy nodded, as the others stood there in shock and were even giving him small glares.

"That's all I needed to hear." The raven smiled.

"I'm Cole, by the way."

Yeah, this is a bit too much for me to write in one chapter, so I'm going to have to split it up into two parts. So that means that I still haven't revealed some backstory points for Cole.

I also didn't get to write the third subplot to the story, aka Misako's subplot, aka her trying to escape the Dark Island.

But that's okay!

I think that no one was able to tell, but for these two parts I made the title kinda like a parody of the Greatest Showman (because it's a musical). I just liked the movie, okay?! XD

Also, holy Jaya 1936 words!

C ya!
