"No, we have to save them," Natalie said, sending out Mardi. "No, let them go," Jacob said, his voice lacking any and all emotion. "Jacob, what are you talking about?," their father asked, now back into his human form. Their father looked the same as he did in his human form before, except for the fact that his hair was blue instead of brown, the hair dye he had in his hair had disappeared when he transformed. "They never truly liked us, wanted to be friends." Jacob looked at his hand again, and again clenched it into a fist. "They put up a convincing ruse, but I now know the truth. Our rescue of them, their help to us, Natalie saving Josh, and even Megan and I dancing last night, all just part of the scheme!"

Jacob threw himself onto the ground, crying his eyes out, before his father came to talk some sense into him. "Jacob, you're right, they only saw you as tools when you first met them, but when you came back from Aspertia City, I could feel a powerful bond between Natalie and Josh. And when you and Megan came back from the lake, I felt a similar bond from you two. I know that it seems like the opposite right now, but Megan is in love with you, and I know that you feel the same way about her."

Jacob searched inside himself, and found that his father was right. He did feel love for Megan, the kind that can't be diminished, even when their feelings are questioned, when he learns that he's been manipulated, or when learning that she was a different species than him. "Natalie, we need to go and get Megan and Josh's Pokémon. We're rescuing them!"

Natalie grabbed Arthur and Nursery, while Jacob grabbed Megan's Clefable, Meteor, and her Miltank, Holstein. "Kids, I can get you to where Josh and Megan are being held, but you're on your own from there," their father told them. "Ok, thanks dad! We appreciate it." Natalie said. Mr. Daines turned into his Latios form, and once the twins got on him, they took off. Mr. Daines used his psychic powers to find where Josh and Megan were being held, but he felt a third powerful energy inside the area.

When they touched down, they found the entrance to an underground complex, and decided to go inside. Before they did, however, Mr. Daines had to slow his children down with a warning. "Kids, Josh and Megan are in there, but there is also another energy, a powerful, evil energy, one that knows no mercy. Just find Josh and Megan, rescue them, and get out." "Got it, thanks dad," Jacob said, before they both entered the complex.

The inside of the complex was empty and bleak, with white walls, granite flooring, and clean fluorescent lights on the ceiling. "Arceus, who can stand to work in a place like this," Natalie asked. "Probably scientists and those who seek depression. But that's not the point. We need to find Josh and Megan," Jacob asked. They went forward until the reached a room with two doors.

"I'll take the right one. Arthur, come on out," Jacob said, sending out Josh's Doublade. "Blade?" "Arthur, Josh and Megan have been captured, and we're going to find them. I need you to use Shadow Sneak and knock out anyone that is in our way. Can you do that?" "Blade! Doublade," Arthur said, speeding down the right door. "Arthur, wait! We need to be stealthy," Jacob said, chasing after him.

Natalie sent out Mardi and Holstein. "Alright, guys, we need to find Josh and Megan, fast! Mardi, I need you to scout the halls ahead. If you see any trouble, lure them out here, so that Holstein can give them a Body Slam!" "Pi! Gepi," Mardi said, running down the hall. When he came running back around 10 seconds later, he was being pursued by a Crobat. Holstein used Body Slam on it, pinning it to the ground. Mardi followed up with a Dazzling Gleam, knocking out the Crobat. "Great work, guys! Let's keep going!"

(15 Minutes Later)

"Blade! Doublade!", Arthur said, pointing a sword towards a door. Jacob looked inside, and saw a Shiny Latios and Latias and glass tubes, being used for energy. "It's Megan and Josh! Arthur, Sacred Sword!" One of Arthur's swords began to glow white, and Arthur made a wide swing towards the door with the sword. The door split in half, and Jacob kicked the halves apart.

"Josh, Megan, we're here to rescue you," Jacob said. "Blade," Arthur added, also bursting into the room. Josh and Megan just looked on, clearly ashamed at themselves. "Guys? What's wrong," Jacob asked. "Jacob, when I was fighting Emerald, he told me that you would eventually find out about us, but I never thought that it would be so soon. Malus and Team Sutilis have chased us for our entire lives because of our secret, and now they've won," Josh said telepathically.

"But I can get you out!" He looked at the wires coming from the machine they were in. "Voltaire, I need you," Jacob said, sending out Voltaire. "Vire," Voltaire said as he landed. "Voltaire, I need you to grab those wires and absorb the electricity from them!" Voltaire nodded and grabbed the wires in his hands. Electricity started crackling around him, and Jacob started talking again.

"Guys, I'll get you out, and even if you don't stay, I'll make sure you are safe." "No, Jacob, us being with you will only hurt you," Megan said. "And is that truly better than hurting everyone? If you stay here, then you'll be used for evil, and that could hurt more people than just Natalie and I. Besides..." Jacob said, pressing his hand against Megan's container. "Megan, I now know that when I'm not with you, I feel empty. My life feels like its missing something without you in it. Megan, I love you."

"I love you too, Jacob, but what about our biology? I'm a Pokémon, you're a human, how would it work out?" "The Marill and Poliwhirl at the lake made it work. They were two different species, and they could still love each other." "But what about children? What would happen if you and I had children together?" "You're looking at it. Natalie and I were made from the union of a human and a Pokémon. If it happened once, it can happen again. Megan, I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and no one else." Just then, Voltaire gave a roar, and he let go of the wires.

"The wires are drained! Get down, Jacob," Josh yelled. Jacob hit the floor, and the glass exploded, releasing the twin dragons. Jacob rushed up to Megan and hugged her with all his might. They might have even kissed each other, if nothing got in the way. But, as they were hugging, Jacob felt two arms grab him, and throw him out of the room. His vision went blurry, but when he came to, he saw a Latios, much like his father, but his eyes were aglow with a rage filled red that concealed the whites of his eyes. "So, someone has infiltrated our base? It's not nice to enter uninvited, boy," the Latios said.
