"Wildstar" Lionpaw yowled, causing the whole clan to wake up. They were not happy. "Lionpaw! Why so early!?" One cat complained. "Whats so important!?" another one snapped. Wildstar said nothing, as she waited for Lionpaw to continue.

"Sunclan are coming!" Lionpaw spluttered. "Theres going to be a battle!" Coalpaw yowled. Wildstar's eyes widened. "Cloudfoot prepare the warriors! Pigeonfeather lead the elders, queens and kits to safety! Bluefeather and Tigerblaze ready the apprentices!" Wildstar ordered. The four cats nodded, and went to complete their duties.

Lionpaw watched as Pigeonfeather, Iceheart, Nightstep, Cinderfoot and Sharpkit raced to the gorse tunnel. Lionpaw met Sharpkit's worried gaze and smiled reassuringly. The young she-kit smiled back before racing after her mother.

"Lionpaw, come over here and get ready for battle!" Tigerblaze ordered. Lionpaw raced over to his friends, and nodded to them. "Apprentices, Sunclan are on their way to camp. Your skills will be tested now! This is your assessment and your aim is to protect your clan!" Tigerblaze yowled.

Lionpaw glanced at his fellow apprentices. Ravenpaw was shaking badly, and Coalpaw was trying to comfort her. Bramblepaw was trying to keep cool, but Lionpaw could see he was terrified. "L-lionpaw" Honeypaw stuttered. Lionpaw turned to Honeypaw and nodded.

"Whats wrong, Honeypaw?" Lionpaw asked. "I-I'm scared!" Honeypaw whispered. Lionpaw pressed his pelt against Honeypaw's. "Don't worry! We fought Sunclan warrior's before, and we lived. This wont be any different" Lionpaw chuckled calmly. However, deep down he was just as scared.

A victorious Yowl ran throughout the clan, as a familiar stench filled Lionpaw's nose. Lionpaw looked down at Honeypaw and chuckled dryly. "Good luck, Honeypaw" Lionpaw smiled shakily, as he got into his battle stance.

"G-good luck, Lionpaw" Honeypaw trembled. Lionpaw gave her one last reassuring glance before turning towards to the Gorse tunnel, where a very familiar tom stepped into the light, Sunstar!
