All chatting stopped, and all heads turned towards Fire and Adderleaf. Fire forced herself to stand tall as the Whispers started to ripple through the crowd. Adderleaf waved her tail, and went forward into the middle of the camp. Fire followed hesitantly. The cats moved out of their way as they reached the middle.

Fire glanced around uneasily as a cat ran towards a group of three large cats. A black she-cat with golden eyes stepped forward, authority and power in her stride. The other two cats followed. One was an old brown tom with brown eyes and a blue she-cat with green eyes. The black she-cat leaped down from the big ledge they had been laying on, and the others followed. The black she-cat didn't slow her pace as she stepped into the crowd. They parted for her and the other two to get through. Some even dipped their heads. She came to a halt in front of Fire, golden gaze burning down on Fire's pelt.

"Who are you?" The she-cat questioned. Adderleaf stepped up beside Fire. "And Adderleaf, Why are you back so early?"

"Her name is Fire." Adderleaf replied, earning a hostile glare from Fire. "And Doveclaw made me bring her back."

"I see." The she-cat closed her eyes, and her tail lashed. The other two sat down, and curled their tails around their paws. Fire plucked at the ground nervously. The she-cat opened her eyes after a few moments.

"Why are you here?" The she-cat demanded. Fire wanted to shrink down. "Who are you? What do you want?"

"I-i..." Fire stuttered. The she-cat glared at her before turning back to Adderleaf.

"Where did you find her?" The she-cat growled. "We don't have lots of room for more cats. Especially kits."

"I'M NOT A KIT!" Fire yowled. The she-cat looked over at Fire.

"How old are you?" She asked. Fire extended her claws.

"5 moons." Fire hissed. The she-cat laughed.

"You're a kit." She turned back to Adderleaf. "Go and see if Spottedfrost will take care of her. I will name her later."

"I have a name!" Fire objected. The she-cat kept talking.

"I already know the perfect name." The she-cat whirled around and was on top of the ledge within heartbeats. The other two followed slowly. The blue she-cat hesitated before turning back to Fire and Adderleaf.

"I'm sorry about Deathstar. She is worried about her mate, and she is just Moody these days." The she-cat smiled warmly at Fire. "I'm Riverstar by the way."

Fire nodded, and the she-cat hurried away. Adderleaf had slipped from Fire's side, and when Fire looked around for her, was pushing into a small den. Fire followed, ignoring the comments others flung at her. A black pelt caught her attention at the edge of the clearing. Bright blue eyes caught hers, and she forced herself to look away, blushing. She ran into the den where Adderleaf had disappeared.
