Featherpaw glanced at Stalkfire. "What do you mean?" She asked.

"You'll have to travel somewhere to... whatever Peachfur said," Stalkfire sighed. He glanced at Peachfur. "Are you sure it's her?"

"Yes, StarClan tells me that the falling feather will lead the sky back," Peachfur meowed. "Featherpaw, I believe, is chosen for this journey."

"Have you told Squirrelstar yet?" Stalkfire asked.

Featherpaw looked up, her whiskers twitching. A moon had passed since that incident with the falling branch. She'd gained more hunting and fighting skills, maybe she was ready to take on what journey StarClan wanted her for.

"Squirrelstar knows, and she's allowing Featherpaw on this journey," Peachfur meowed. She looked at Featherpaw. "I hope that you are the one to fulfill StarClan's prophecy. It is important that you bring back the sky."

Featherpaw shrank back. "But the sky is here. It's up there!" She mewed.

"Silly, they aren't referring to that sky obviously. Maybe it's a cat named Sky, or maybe it's that mountain tribe," Peachfur meowed, flicking her tail. "Or maybe-"

"It's SkyClan," Squirrelstar padded towards them, filling in Peachfur's sentence. She sat down, her tail curling over her paws.

"SkyClan? There's.... a fifth Clan?" Peachfur gasped.

Featherpaw's eyes widened. She glanced at Stalkfire, who looked surprised.

"Yes, there's a fifth Clan. It's called SkyClan. A long time ago, SkyClan used to be a part of the old territories," Squirrelstar meowed, her whiskers twitching.

"The old territories? The lake?" Featherpaw questioned.

"Not the lake. Territories before the lake," Squirrelstar meowed. "The other Clans chased SkyClan out, and SkyClan has never been seen since then. The way I found out about it was because my father, Firestar, told me," Squirrelstar meowed. Before any cat could respond, she continued, "I'm going to call a Clan meeting."

As Squirrelstar walked away, Smokypaw bounded towards them. His eyes were bright. "Hey Featherpaw! I thinking about going hunting right now. I can help you catch all the quick critters," he purred. "What was Squirrelstar doing over here? Featherpaw, are you in trouble?"

"I'm sorry, Smokypaw," Featherpaw sighed. "But I'm on an important mission."

Before Smokypaw could reply, Pearlshine and Burntsun padded over. Featherpaw remembered the day they'd received their warrior names. Pearlshine glanced at Featherpaw, giving her a look. "Smokypaw, I thought you were hunting with me."

"What? I never-" Smokypaw was cut off as a loud yowl interrupted them.

"All cays old enough to hunt gather under high-ledge!" Squirrelstar called out.

Peachfur hurried towards high-ledge, Stalkfire following her. Smokypaw glanced at Featherpaw. "Can we talk?"

"Let me do the talking," Pearlshine growled. She flicked Burntsun and Smokypaw away with her tail, then pushed Featherpaw back. "I don't need you spending time with him! I should be with him," she snarled.

Featherpaw blinked at her. "What's your problem? Smokypaw is just a friend!" She defended. "I've never seen you spend time with him anyway!"

Pearlshine shoved Featherpaw back into the apprentices' den, her lip curled. "Why aren't you spending time with Burntsun? I thought you liked him! And plus, you should stop liking Smokypaw, because he's about to become a warrior, and he won't be wasting his time fooling around with stupid apprentices like you," Pearlshine growled. "So leave him to me."

"You can't force someone to like you," Featherpaw growled. "Smokypaw doesn't like you, and I know because he's never told me. And plus Burntsun doesn't even like me," she meowed, her whiskers twitching.

Pearlshine laughed slightly. "I always knew Burntsun didn't like you! Who would like you anyways? You're stupid and childish, always getting hurt for attention!"

Featherpaw shrank back, then flexed her claws. "The only cat I know trying to seek attention is you, Pearlshine. Always showing off when walking across camp. At least I get to be away from you when I'm on my journey," she snapped. Featherpaw then slipped past Pearlshine quickly, hurrying to the crowd. She sat beside Smokypaw.

"That stupid cat didn't cause you trouble, did she?" Smokypaw asked, flicking his tail. His eyes glowed.

"She's no trouble at all. She just thinks you like her," Featherpaw sighed, curling her tail over her paws.

"I don't even like her. I'd rather be spending time with you," Smokypaw meowed, looking into Featherpaw's eyes. "As a friend."

Featherpaw looked up at Squirrelstar, purring. She'd missed the leader's speech.

"Featherpaw, I will make you leader of the patrol," Squirrelstar meowed. "Smokypaw, Stalkfire, Stormgaze, and Peachfur are going with you," she explained. Then Squirrelstar lifted her chin. "But first, I have something I must do."

"Smokypaw, Tuftpaw, Beepaw, and Blackpaw, come forward please," Squirrelstar meowed.

Smokypaw's eyes widened. He glanced at Featherpaw before heading up to the front with his siblings.

"I, Squirrelstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warriors in their turn," Squirrelstar announced, lifting her tail. She glanced down at Smokypaw. "Smokypaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" The ThunderClan leader asked.

Smokypaw straightened. "I do," he mewed.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Smokypaw, from this moment on you will be known as Smokyflame. StarClan honors your courage and skills, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan," Squirrelstar meowed, then turned to Beepaw. "Beepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do," Beepaw answered firmly.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Beepaw, from this moment on you will be known as Beetalon. StarClan honors your kind heart and skills, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan," Squirrelstar meowed. She turned to Blackpaw, her eyes glittering.

"Blackpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" Squirrelstar asked.

"I do," Blackpaw nodded, lifting his muzzle.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Blackpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Blackstep. StarClan honors your talent and bravery, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan," Squirrelstar meowed. She turned to Tuftpaw, ready to deliver the same speech.

"Tuftpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" Squirrelstar asked the apprentice.

"Of course I do," Tuftpaw answered.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Tuftpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Tuftear. StarClan honors your skills and kindness, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan," Squirrelstar meowed, lifting her tail.

As the four new warriors stepped forward to lick their leader's shoulder, the Clan stood up, lifting their heads and tails.

"Smokyflame! Beetalon! Blackstep! Tuftear!" The Clan cheered loudly.

Squirrelstar looked down at Featherpaw and beckoned her forward. "Featherpaw, I believe it is time to go."
