The curse of Silentpounce began again.

"Death"

"Death"

"Death"

"The heart is shattered. Find the paw print and punish the right one and the clans' Fire shall burn on."

Sunpaw work up with a jolt. Her was prickling up making her round as a nut. She burred by the sudden cold and stretched her back. Her heart was still pounding fast as she tried to steady her breath.

What was this? Was this really the curse of Silentpounce?

"Morning' Sunpaw." Crystalpaw stirred yawning wide as a old badger. "Is something wrong?"

The medicine cat looked tired. Her voice was cracky and shaken, and her legs shook. Her eyes were dull, not the sparkly kind that this cat has.

"It's nothing. Go back to sleep." The older apprentice whispered softly in Crystalpaw's ears. The younger apprentice shook her head aggressively.

"I treated few cats and I see fear in their eyes when they are scared. And you have the same paleness." The medicine cat apprentice said firmly. She signaled for Sunpaw to follow her out of the sleeping den. They walked out of camp to a private secured place. It was sill in the cave, like the camp.

"Sunpaw," Crystalpaw sighed. "Please tell me what's going on. I can help you, I see you as my friend. And I am a future medicine cat."

Sunpaw struggled to decide if she should tell about her concern, but maybe talking to a cat who has different kind of wisdom than a warrior can help her. Crystalpaw is young, way younger than the red she cat. But her knowledge is the same as the senior warriors who viewed more in the world. She walks a different path than any cat in NoonClan except Marigoldseed.

"I'm seeing this strange dream the past two nights..." Sunpaw began to explain. She told everything detail to detail. The exact words what the whisper is. What kind of voice it is. The darkness and loneliness. Sunpaw couldn't tell any better about her nightmare than this. "And I heard about Silentpounce and her curse...I feel like it's her."

Half-heartedly, she expected a murrow of laughter. But Crystalpaw was concerned, her eyes half opened and concerned deep into thoughts. "Can you tell me the words again? The heart's shattered and stuff."

"The heart is shattered. Find the paw print and punish the right one and the clans' Fire shall burn on."

Crystalpaw sunk into her thoughts again. As if a rabbit jumped into her mouth, she gasped. "Oh no—. This isn't a nightmare or a curse Sunpaw."

"Than what is it?" The warrior apprentice asked curiously.

"It's a prophecy. The one I have been having—and Marigoldseed. But your not a medicine cat, or your destined to be."

"I have no interest in becoming an medicine cat." Sunpaw quickly added.

"This has something to do with you. You have to go, today." Crystalpaw meowed with a firm meow. Her fur was prickling and each breath was harsh. "You have to go now Sunpaw."

Why? Sunpaw asked herself. Don't I belong here after all?  "I'm a warrior of NoonClan. I give all my life to it—"

"I don't mean it that way." Crystalpaw shook her head. Her wise thoughtful eyes met Sunpaw's. Those pairs had seen completely different from birth. Bloodshed, slavery, death, murder, desire. While the other saw kind, peace, loyalty, pride. "Marigoldseed and I was screaming the past couple of days because we heard and saw the exact thing you did. The pit of darkness. The pit of loneliness. The voice who repeats the word death, than the words. And you wake up after hearing the prophecy."

Sunpaw couldn't help her tail lashing the cave ground. "Are you saying I saw a vision? I'm a warrior Crystalpaw. Not a medicine cat."

"That's why your chosen." Crystalpaw explained. "But we saw one more thing addition to your vision. I saw a Milky Way that lead to the sun. Travel the way of the sun when dusk. Find the paw print like the prophecy saids."

The heart is shattered. Find the paw print and punish the right one and the clans' Fire shall burn on. A prophecy. Sunpaw thought seeing visions was untrue, a elder tale. But feeling and seeing it herself proved it was true.

"But why alone? Yellowstar should address a meeting at once and send a well trained patrol." Sunpaw questioned.

"Not alone. But not a clan search party." The young medicine cat shook her head. "You and I are going. Yellowstar mustn't know.

Sunpaw's anger raged. How dare her friend plans to betray the clan leader! "Yellowstar is our leader. And my loyalty goes to her."

"Even at the cost of destroying the clans?" Crystalpaw gave a warning growl. "The prophecy says one more thing. Punish the right one. Yellowstar has the heart of gold, a reason why she is the leader of NoonClan right now. She would never punish a cat." She turned her gaze to meet Sunpaw's. "I'm not letting the clans being destroyed."

The red she cat backed down. She didn't want the clans to be destroyed yes, but what is important? The clans or loyalty. It was a hard choice.

"Please Sunpaw, we need to save the clans. I asked Marigoldseed but sparing warriors in leaf bare was dangerous so she didn't give me approval. And you told me about your vision and I knew you can help me. Your my only hope of succeeding Sunpaw. Please."

According to Crystalpaw, she was planning to go now. The clans or the loyalty. The loyalty or the clans.

"Very well." Sunpaw firmly decided. "But we're taking another warrior. I can't defend you and defend myself in a unknown place."

"Who? Any cat particular?" Crystalpaw agreed. Sunpaw paused and licked her mouth to ease the dryness.

"I do. We're going to MorningClan first to pick up Shimmerpaw. Or former rogue Lemon."

The medicine cat apprentice shrugged. "I'm asking you a lot, and I guess that's what all I can give a choice for you. But why a MorningClan apprentice?"

Sunpaw made a wave of a tail and started to set her paws on the ground, a path of a new journey. "If we're heading towards the dusk sun, Shimmerpaw will know the way."
