Junko: You know what they say! With great power comes great irresponsibility!

Dizzy: I'm pretty sure that's not what they say.

Junko: Try telling these two that! Neptune, the troublemaking CPU of Hyperdimensional Neptunia!

Akame: And Reimu Hakurei, the sweet but lazy shrine maiden of the Touhou Project.

Dizzy: The stage is set and the combatants are ready.

Junko: It's time for a Death Battle!

Reimu was lying down in front of her shrine when she suddenly heard screaming. She looked up to see Neptune falling from the sky. She stood up as Neptune crashlanded in front of her.

Neptune: Ow ow ow ow! Hm? Oh hey! I'm guessing you're my Death Battle opponent?

Reimu: Does that mean you're mine?

Neptune: Yep! Now enough talk! I'm about to win this and restore my honor!

Neptune pulled out a wooden sword as Reimu took out her Purification Rod. 

Reimu: Right. Let's get this over with. Ready?

Neptune dashed at Reimu and swung her wooden sword. Reimu dodged and swatted her away with her stick, sending her flying with ease. Neptune quickly landed on her feet and pulls out a gun, firing elemental bullets. Reimu swatted them away with her Purification Rod.

Reimu: Hah! You call those bullets? These are bullets!

She fired Danmaku needles at her and Neptune was quick to dodge them. She aimed and fired but missed Reimu, who dashed at her and swung her purification rod. Neptune blocked it with her wooden sword only for it to be knocked out of her hand. As soon as Neptune looked up, Reimu whacked her in the head and smashed her into the ground hard enough to make a crater.

She then flew up in the air and started throwing Ofuda cards. Neptune was quick to dodge them as they were making massive explosions around her. She then took out an actual sword and jumped up at her, going for a downward swing. Reimu quickly flew back and dodged it as Neptune landed on her feet.

Neptune: Try this on for size!

She summoned four Keiji Inafune and launched them at Reimu, who quickly flew around to get away from them.

Reimu: What the heck?! 

Neptune: Hah! Now I've got you!

Reimu flew all over the place to avoid them. Three of them blew up on the ground as Reimu landed and summoned a barrier, shielding herself from the last one. As soon as the shield disappeared, Neptune dashed at her and swung her sword in a V shape before appearing behind Reimu. The slash then blew up in Reimu's face.

Neptune: Heh! That was my V Slash! V for my Victory!

Reimu: Don't go celebrating just yet!

Neptune looked as Reimu swatted away the debris of the explosion. The two girls dashed at each other. Neptune swung her katana as Reimu swung her purification rod. They clashed and made a huge shockwave around them. Reimu then unleashed a shockwave of her own that knocked Neptune back. Neptune slid to her feet and slashed her sword twice, trapping Reimu in a box.

Reimu: Huh?

Neptune: Now take this!

Neptune went for a final strike and Reimu quickly teleported out of the box as it blew up. She appeared behind Neptune and swung her Purification Rod as Neptune swung her sword and they clashed again before jumping back. They then started moving at high speeds, striking each other in every direction and creating shockwaves with every clash. Reimu then knocked Neptune straight through her shrine. 

Reimu: Whoops. I'll fix that later.

Neptune jumped back to her feet and increased her strength and durability. A purple aura surrounded her body as the two girls dashed at each other, swinging at blinding speeds. Neptune swung at Reimu's body, but the maiden teleported above her and went for a downward kick. Neptune quickly jumped back and summoned 8 pixilated blades from the sky. Reimu dodged all of them and made a barrier around her to block the last big one. It smashed her to the ground and caused a huge explosion.

Just as Neptune was about to celebrate, Reimu flew out of the debris of the explosion and started firing Danmaku at her. Neptune was quick to dodge before dashing at her, striking Reimu in every direction.

Neptune: Why! Won't! You! Die!

Reimu: Fantasy Nature son!

Neptune went for a final slash that caused a huge explosion. She then ran off and jumped into the air before turning into a jet. The debris around Reimu cleared as she saw this.

Reimu: Well now... that's new.

Reimu flew into the air and Neptune flew after her, firing a bunch of homing missiles. Reimu dodged them as they blew up in the air. She then fired Danmaku back at her and Neptune flew around them all before picking up the pace. She flew past Reimu before making a sharp U-turn.

Neptune: Now it's time to end this early! Take this!

Neptune spun around as she was planning to run straight into her at a blinding speed. Reimu quickly pulled out a stopwatch and as soon as Neptune was inches away from her, Reimu stopped time.

Reimu: Heh. Almost had me there. But I'm not gonna die that easily.

She floated above Neptune and put a frog onto her. Once time resumed, the frog blew up in Neptune's face, turning her back to base form as she crashed back into the ground. Reimu then summoned a giant Yin-Yang ball as Neptune struggled to get up.

Reimu: Sorry, but this is goodbye.

She dropped it down on Neptune and created a massive explosion that obliterated Neptune into nothing. Reimu floated down onto the carnage created by the explosion and dusted herself off.

Reimu: Done and done.

Dizzy: Oh...

Akame: Well... that was fast.

Junko: Yeah. Neptune didn't even have time to transform.

Neptune: Time huh? Thanks for the tip!

Junko: Wait, Neptune, what are you-

Neptune pressed her reset button and went back in time. All the way back to the beginning.

Junko: You know what they say! With great power comes great-

Dizzy: Wait, didn't we already do this?

Akame: Now that you mention it...

Neptune ran past them and turned into Purple Heart.

Purple Heart: No time for questions! Just start the fight!

Junko: Oh! It's time for a Death Battle!

Reimu was lying down in front of her shrine. She looked up to see Purple Heart falling from the sky.

Reimu: Hm?

As Purple Heart fell, she flew at Reimu and swung her sword only for Reimu to summon a barrier to block the strike.

Reimu: Woah! What the heck?!

Reimu pushed the barrier away and knocked Purple Heart back. The CPU landed on her feet in front of Reimu.

Purple Heart: You've taken everything from me.

Reimu: I don't even know you...

Purple Heart: I know. I just wanted to make the reference.

Purple Heart took out a giant fan and swung it, unleashing a giant burst of wind that sent Reimu flying through her shrine. Reimu slid onto her feet as Neptune teleported above her with a sword made from her sister's knee socks. She swatted Reimu over the head with it and smashed her into the ground hard enough to make a crater. Reimu felt like she just got kicked in the head.

Reimu: Gah! Why do you even have that?!

Purple Heart went to swing it again but this time she missed as Reimu flew back and fired two giant amulets at her. Purple Heart flew into the air and dodged them. Reimu flew after her with two Yin-Yang Orbs at her side, firing Danmaku bullets at her. Purple Heart was dodging all of them and flew back at her. She swung her sword and it slightly cut Reimu's cheek.

Reimu: What?

Purple Heart turned around and started rapidly swinging her sword. Reimu was dodging all of her strikes casually as Purple Heart went for a powerful kick. Reimu went to block it before being sent flying straight to the moon. Reimu crashed into it and made a massive crater. Reimu winced a bit then looked up to see Purple Heart flying towards her. Reimu acted quickly and sent the moon down on her. Purple Heart saw this and summoned the Who Did This?! Nova. The giant battleship blasted a huge laser from its eyes and mouth that went straight through the moon and toward Reimu.

Reimu: Crap!

She quickly pulls out a Mini-Hakkero and unleashed a giant blast of energy from it. The blast went straight through Neptune's and destroyed the battleship. Reimu then fired Danmaku everywhere. Purple Heart dodged all of them, flying towards Reimu and swinging her sword. Reimu dodged it and swung her Purification Rod, sending Purple Heart flying away. Purple Heart caught herself and summoned Atranger.

Reimu: What the? A robot? 

The robot flew at Reimu and went for a punch. Reimu dodged it as Purple Heart went to swing her sword. Reimu blocked it and was knocked back. She caught herself and was annoyed.

Reimu: Alright, my turn!

She summoned two dolls by her side. One of them fired ice shards that both Purple Heart and Atranger dodged. Atranger fired its fist at both dolls and blew them up only for Reimu to appear behind it and swing her Purification Rod and sent Atranger flying lightyears away. Purple Heart tried to strike her from behind but Reimu teleported behind her and hit her with a powerful kick that sent her flying straight back to Earth, crashing into the city of Planeptune and creating a massive explosion. Purple Heart managed to stand up from the carnage and looked up to see Reimu floating above her.

Reimu: Are you done yet?

Purple Heart: Geh... Not even close...

Reimu: ... Fine then.

Reimu fired multiple Yin-Yang orbs down on Purple Heart, who flew around the city to dodge them all. Reimu chased after her while firing Danmaku which Purple Heart dodged. She then teleported in front of Purple Heart and fired several fireballs. Purple Heart dodged them and swung her sword, unleashing a giant gust of wind that knocked Reimu into a large building. Purple Heart then kicked Reimu through the building and had her crash into the streets of Planeptune. Reimu stood up as Purple Heart swung her sword. She reacted to the strike and jumped back as Neptune's sword phased through her body. She then flew into the air and threw four Ofuda Cards and had them turn into clones of herself. They all flew down and went to swing their Purification Rods.

Purple Heart: Enough!

Purple Heart unleashed a shockwave around her, knocking the close away from her. She then unleashed a bright light that blinded Reimu for a split second. Once the light dispersed, they were in a completely different dimension.

Reimu: Um... I don't think I'm in Gensokyo anymore.

She looked up to see Purple Heart had turned to her most powerful transformation, NEXT Purple.

NEXT Purple: This isn't Gensokyo or Gamindustri. This is the Share Field... and in this realm, I'll show you the true power of a Goddess!

Reimu: Oh yeah?! Then bring it on!

Reimu threw several knives that NEXT Purple swatted away. She flew at Reimu and swung her sword as Reimu swung her Purification Rod and they clashed, creating a massive shockwave around them. NEXT Purple then kicked Reimu back. Reimu caught herself mid-air and unleashed thousands of Danmaku Bullets at NEXT Purple. The CPU saw all of this but didn't flinch.

NEXT Purple: It's time I end this!

She charged up the boosters upon her back and proceeded to charge at Reimu, dodging all the Danmaku Bullets. She swung her blade through Reimu and caused a massive explosion behind her. The explosion created a bright light and once the light disappeared, Neptune was back in her base form and back in Planeptune.

Neptune: Huff... Puff... It's... over...

Reimu: Who decided that?!

Neptune: What?!

Neptune looked up to see Reimu falling from the sky and swinging her Purification Rod. Neptune went to use her sword to try and block the attack but Reimu's swing broke through the sword and split Neptune's skull in two. Neptune's dead body fell to the ground and disappeared.

Reimu: ... Is it done? ... No... not yet.

Reimu swung her Purification Rod and ripped a hole through reality, creating a portal and going through it.

Meanwhile, Neptune had reappeared in Hell. She opened her eyes and looked around.

Neptune: Ow ow ow my head. Did I seriously lose again? Oh well. With this, I can just travel back in time and restart the fight all over again until I win. Funny how time works.

She pulled out the Restart Button and was about to press it, but before she could, time stopped. Once it resumed, a Danmaku Bullet hit the button and blew it out of Neptune's hands, completely destroying it.

Reimu: Time manipulation? Oh hey... I can do that too.

Neptune looked up to see Reimu floating above her. She immediately turned into Purple Heart.

Purple Heart: You followed me down here? Well, it doesn't matter. You're done for!

The CPU Goddess flew up at Reimu and swung her sword, only for Reimu to fire off a bunch of colorful lights that ripped Purple Heart's arms off.

Purple Heart : GAAAAAH!!!

Purple Heard screamed in pain as the lights ripped off her legs and then her body. Reimu flew down and stomped her head into the ground, smashing it into a million pieces.

Reimu: Ew... I  stepped in loser.

She brushed herself off and flew away.

Junko: BAHAHAHAHA! AHAHAHA!

Neptune: S-Shut up! I almost had her!

Junko: Oh yeah, sure you did! Oh man, you gave yourself a second chance and you still lost!

Neptune: Oh come on! I wasn't entirely hopeless!

Dizzy: Right, Neptune did have her own advantages. She was much more experienced, had better training, and can be considered smarter when transformed. But that's where the tables start to turn.

Junko: Yeah, there was nothing in Neptune's arsenal that Reimu hasn't seen before. Aside from the bizarre stuff like summoning human missiles or using a word that makes you feel like you've gotten kicked. And even then, that wasn't enough to actually finish her off.

Akame: Her ability to float through reality was defiantly going to give Neptune trouble. She does have a blade that could potentially bypass that but it was pointless if she wasn't fast enough to do any lasting damage.

Junko: Yeah, Neptune is incredibly strong and fast, but Reimu is simply infinitely stronger and infinitely faster. And we don't always like to throw the term infinite around a lot but that's just how it is. 

Akame: Neptune was defiantly not going down without a fight, but Reimu had a way of dealing with her... even if it was a little more permanent than expected.

Junko: Nep-nep should have watched her Tou's because this hyperdimensional project left her floating and swinging Hou's.

Dizzy: The winner is Reimu Hakurei.

-Connections: The connections between Reimu and Neptune are that they are two fourth-wall-breaking girls with godly power who are incredibly lazy despite their roles to protect their respective territories.

-Neptune is the first combatant to lose the same Death Battle twice in one fight (Not including Springtrap)

-Reimu is the first combatant to win both a battle royal and one v one Death Battle

-It is also the first to have two thumbnails with the first thumbnail being made by SandraOsborne1

-Neptune was originally going to have another rematch, this time against Sonic. But Reimu was picked to make things more interesting

     *Neptune feels screwed over by this information. But at least it wasn't Medaka.

-Neptune was requested by Starzal to be in the Overpowered Battle Royal, a fight which Reimu won. Neptune was not put in the Battle Royal because it was believed she was too weak. She ended up fighting the winner regardless.
