Lucas' POV

The dark shadows cleared from my eyes as I felt myself falling through the air. Not feeling Sunday in my arms anymore, panicked I look below me. A scream escaped my lips as I grew closer to an alleyway dumpster. Closer. Closer. Closer.... CRACK! I feel a sharp pain shoot up my left leg as I made contact with something hard.

Black spots crept into my vision as the pain became unbearable, I lay still. "Lucas...LUCAS!!" I look up to see a stressed Grover kneeling over me shaking my shoulders. I was in too much pain to respond. I noticed Grover had somehow lost his hat and on his head were... horns? Grover shoved something in my mouth, the pain lessened. It tasted like dad's lasagne. Dad... oh my god...Mum! Sunday!

Panicked I sat up quickly, knocking my leg, I scream. "oh y-your leg is still broken. We need to splint It" Grover said, he put his hands on his head "oh my gods, oh my gods! WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO!!". I slowly, painfully put my hand on his knee "Grover, I need a straight stick and some rope".

"Yeah, yeah you're right" Grover took a breath and started looking around the dumpster. Next to me lay Sunday, she looked fine, well no worse they before. Apparently, the rubbish in the bin broke her landing. Behind me was a passed-out Nico and a still unconscious Will. I don't know how we all fit in this dumpster, but we do.

My mind is still very confused about what happened, and I really need some one to explain it. Dad was about to say something before the wall exploded, what was it... something about... he and mum are something... ugh! What was it!

Grover came back with a straight stick and some shoe laces. "do you know how to splint a leg?" I asked Grover worriedly. I mean I have read about it in a book, I just couldn't remember right now. "yeah, don't worry"

After Grover put the splint on my leg, he helped me out of the dumpster. One by one he got everyone out of the dumpster, and we all lay against the ally wall. At this moment I looked around, I knew we were in New York because I've seen it in books. I look to Sunday, we need to get somewhere safe.

"so, what's the plan?" I asked Grover. "I think its best we wait until Nico or Will wakes up. And then we can try shadow traveling again." Shadow what?! I'll make a note to ask him later.

Grover walked over to me, I realised he had a really bad limp in... both legs? he sat down next to me. "So, are you going to explain? What happened?" I ask Grover. He suddenly looks panicked. "ok but promise me you'll believe me?" I nod hesitantly. Grover looked down at his hands and taking a deep breath he started.

"ok, Lucas..." "it's Luke" I correct, I hate using my full name. "Luke...y-your parents are..." he hesitates "Demigods...". I can't help but laugh, I look at Grover who is frowning "s-sorry Grover but didn't the Greek gods exist in ancient grease?".

"Yes. But they still exist today. A-and sometimes they have kids with mortals. Your father, Percy, is a child of Poseidon... and your mum, Annabeth, a child of Athena." Grover froze for a second, waiting for it to sink in. my mind went blank, what the hell! If this is real, I can't believe mum and dad never told me, never told us! "and the monster lady?".

Grover looked shocked, I guess I was taking this better then others. "that 'monster lady' is an Empousa named Kelli. Her and your dad have thought on many occasions" Grover smiled a little as if remembering fond memories. "Like the Greek gods the Greek monster a real to. They hunt demigods and kids like you and your sister".

"Your parents are some of the best demigods of their generation". We sat in silence for a long time. I look down at Grover's legs "are your legs ok? We were limping" I asked to break the silence. Grover looked up from his hands "oh, yeah their fine. Have you heard about satyr's?". The name rings a bell "aren't those the half goat people?" I asked.

Grover nods "I am a satyr", I try to hide my giggle. He slowly took off one of his shoes, so a hoof was visible. What the heck...

"Hello dears" a voice interrupted my thoughts. We quickly turn to see an old lady standing at the alleyway entrance. "what are you doing all alone in an alleyway?" she said, she did not sound like an old lady. Grover slowly rose sniffing the air. I followed his lead, wobbling on one leg.

"yes, we are fine thank you..." Grover said back, he sounded scared. "why are you so far from camp?" The old lady asked. What does she mean? Before I could voice my question, Grover spoke "Luke stand behind me". As I hopped behind him and to Sunday, he pulled out a pair of reed pipes and starts playing.

I was really confused until I remembered something I read in a book. Vines started growing from the creaked cotreat. Satyr's can control plants with music! The old lady laughed, I stared in shock as her skin started turning in to dark scales "I thought I smelt Perseus here" she hissed at Grover as she sprouts huge leathery wings. "but since his not here you'll all have to do." She snarled.

Instead of an old lady, there now stood a 10-foot-tall lizard-bat lady thing. "Alecto leave us be!" Grover commanded, "Percy is not here". He continued playing on his reed pipes. Vines started to grow around her legs, she snarled "I am not a fool satyr! I know you have the children of the prophecy."

To say I was confused would be an understatement. I stand frozen in an alleyway with three unconscious people, well I hope they are human, a satyr and a big lizard-bat lady. Alecto rips the vines from around her legs "MOVE ASIDE GOAT BOY!". She suddenly swipes at Grover sending him flying into a wall. He slid down it and groaned.

The monster turned to me and started walking towards me. I frantically look around me and see a bin lid, I held it in my hand. The monster swiped at me and I somehow blocked it with my makeshift shield. This happened many more times. I was getting tired now, and my leg was hurting.

Alecto stopped for a second annoyed "Your father killed me many times, and for that I will kill you!". She ran at me, on instinct I slammed my shield into her face. She stumbled back dazed. From my left I hear Grover yell "Luke! Take this!" Grover threw something shinny at me. Somehow, I caught it, it was a... dagger? "What am I supposed to do with this?" I yell.

"kill her!!" Grover yelled back, I could tell he was in pain. Ok I know what to do, I tell myself as I take a breath and focus. Alecto ran at me, I tried slamming my shield into her face again, but before I could she grabbed it and ripped it from my hand. It screeched as it slid along the ground along with my dagger.

I slowly inched away from the monster in front of me. My foot caught on a rock and I fell to the ground. My broken leg hit the ground and I screamed as pain shot up it. Suddenly I felt sharp hot needles digging in to my shoulders.

Alecto had her claws digging into my shoulders as she held me down. "finally, I will take revenge!" she growled in my ear. I can't believe I am going to die! I was just told about this new world. Well I guess I got the adventure I wanted. I felt some thing cold in my hand, it was the dagger, how did it get here?

"This is going to be so fun!" she screeched and laughed to herself. While she was distracted, I held the dagger in my hand and stabbed Alecto in the chest. She let out a loud screech "NOT AGAIN!!". She exploded into golden dust.

Grover stumbled over to me and helped me up. "that was awesome man!!" he said. "thank you!" he yelled and hugged me. Our hug was interrupted by a groan. Nico is awake again, and so is will. What a wild few hours.
