Want an honest opinion about your book, knowing the strengths and weaknesses of it? Then look no further than getting a review done for your book! Keep in mind, there are certain books I don't accept, which can be found in the Rules, Guidelines, and Payment Section. I'm not going to go over that or what's in there because that should've been read before coming here.

Instead, I'm going to discuss key details about reviews that needs to be said before you fill out the appropriate form.

Only make a request if there's a slot open in the "Slots" chapter. There may be times it's closed and times I have a certain amount of slots available. It all depends on what I think can be done at a given time.

As mentioned in the "Services" chapter, there are three different levels of reviews. This determines the type of feedback that is given. If you are new to writing or would like to know what you're doing well in a story, then Novice is the way to go whereas more serious writers who want to focus more on what to improve for maybe editing or their next story may want to go with Advance. Your feedback is determined on the type of level you choose.

So how do the different levels look?

Novice

This is perfect for those who are just starting to write on Wattpad, needs a confidence boost in their writing, and/or would like to know more of what they are doing well vs. what they need improvement on. This level will STILL RECEIVE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM, but it will be more based on notes that can be corrected through light editing.

You can expect the following:

-Starting and ending on a high note.
-1-2 constructive criticism notes that will help strengthen you as a writer
-Very upbeat and uplifting review
-Very spoiler free, but can work with a Spoilers Ahead Mode
-NO rating scale on a 1-5, how much did I enjoy/like it

Intermediate

This service is kind of like the in between novice and advance levels. Like the novice reviews, I'm going to start and end the review with some positives, but there may be more constructive criticism in there. There will be no set amount for each one, giving a more honest outlook on how you're doing on your story. Think of this as most of my reviews in the past (whether they're in Junie's Writing Services or Junie's Reviews and Promo Book). This is more for writers who want a lot of constructive criticism, but also want to know the positives in their book.

You can expect the following:

-Starting and ending on a high note
-Constructive criticism throughout the review
-Uplifting, but has a true note as to what needs to be improved on
-Can be Spoiler Free or Spoilers Ahead Mode
-Optional: rating scale on a 1-5, how much did I enjoy/like it

Advance

This service is tailored for the more serious writers and may be very different from reviews in the past. If you want honest opinions from someone who isn't afraid to hold back, then this is the level you're going to want to choose. I will give my honest opinions, good and bad, without holding back.

You can expect the following:

-Know how 1 person feels about the book in a raw, honest way
-Constructive criticism that will help with editing or in future stories
-Better if it's Spoilers Ahead, but can be Spoiler Free.
-Rating scale on a 1-5, how much did I enjoy/like it

Now, you may have noticed I discussed something about spoilers in each mode. If you'd like no spoilers (so something that the reader will know in the beginning of the story, no more than 5 chapters in or even less than that), then Spoiler Free is the best to go. In order to get a more honest opinion and know what are some areas to help, then Spoiler's Ahead may be the route to go, but note that people will know what happens in your story.

For the Spoiler's Ahead mode, I will give a spoiler warning at the beginning of the review and when they're about ready to happen.

Regardless of which Review Level you'd like your book to be critiqued in or what kind of spoilers are given, keep in mind to be kind and stick with your answer. If I post a review and the author starts bashing how I was too harsh, but they chose Advance mode or complains that they didn't get enough criticism and chose Novice, then that is on the writer, and it will result in a strike. Same with spoilers. Make sure you are certain of the mode and level you want your book to be reviewed in because I will not be making a second one for the same book (even after it's edited. If you want to edit and have someone review it again, I can direct you to someone who will be a new set of eyes for you). You are responsible in this sense, so make sure you choose everything wisely.

Speaking of: IF you want something specific to be reviewed, whether it be characters, grammar, plot, etc, please make note of this in the "reasons for wanting a review" part in question 7.

With all stories, I will determine how much is read. This is based on time, how much information I can get from the story, and enjoyment. At the minimum, I will try to read 3 chapters (or if it's shorter than that, what's there). At the maximum, I'll read the entire book (or first book of a series...I won't edit more than one book per review, so theoretically, you could have a different service done per book or have individual reviews done for each one). Sadly, at this time, I cannot offer to do full book reviews, but note I will read what I can to give you the best review possible.

Last but not least: Public vs. Private Reviews.

Public Reviews have always been more popular of the two because while you get one person's opinion, other people may look at a story and go, "while Junie didn't like that aspect, I LOVE books that do!" and you can gain readers at the same time. In addition to this, I don't do both reviews and promotions for the same book because I can easily add the promotions stuff to the review. These reviews are posted on Wattpad as soon as they are finished. You will be tagged in order to be notified.

Despite Wattpad getting rid of my favorite feature of messages (as that was such a nice way to do these), Private Reviews are still going to be given as an option. As soon as I'm given any information for this, I will copy the name to contact your and delete the message, so not many (if any) will know who is getting a private review, and your Discord name will be safe to stay anonymous. Now, I am ONLY conducting these through Discord, and because of that, there is one upside to it. You can choose between one of two formats to have your review done:

Casual Format: As I am reading your book, I will shoot you messages on what I think, up until the point that I'm either required or feel the need to stop after. Once I'm done, I'll finish up wrapping my thoughts, and eventually have to put an end to the conversation to let you know when my services for the book is up. This works very well with the novice and intermediate formats as there will be positive and constructive criticism woven in. This will not be done with the advance review.

Formal Format: You will need access to Google Docs as I'll write up a formal review using Google Docs. This doc will have the formal review for all my thoughts inside. You will need to let me know when you've received the doc and when you've finished it in case you have any questions to ask me. This format works for all levels of review, and if you decide afterwards that you'd want your review to be made public, you can do so with this format.

And I think that is it. I know, it's a lot! But there's a lot that goes into creating reviews, and I want to ensure everyone has the best experience possible with this. So, please fill out the appropriate form, and I'll get on that review ASAP.
