Katherine Danvers is a nerd, she attends Midtown High and tries to go through her day stressing about tests, homework and bullies. One day she is approached by the popular girl at school, Gwen Stacy and they soon became friends. This would be all well and good but Katherine has a huge crush on Gwen and knows that there is no point to it since Gwen would never accept nor reciprocate her feelings, at least that's what she thinks. One day on a school field trip, Katherine gets into an accident and goes into a coma. When she wakes up, she discovers that things have changed and they will never be the same again.
