"Dammit where were you?! Why do you keep leaving this family?! Is it just for some whores?!" An older blonde woman yelled.

Skye and Eliza had just gotten back from school and they noticed their parents arguing so they snuck into Skye's room.

"Skye... I'm scared..." Eliza whispers. "I don't want our family to break up, I don't want mom and dad to keep fighting..."

"It will be alright... Don't worry." Skye said, placing a hand on one of her sister's shaking ones. Skye was not only trying to reassure her sister but herself as well.

"Will they hurt us too?" Eliza asked Skye.

A older blonde slapping a girl across the face. Skye jumped a bit and gasped, it seemed almost like a memory... but it wasn't, right?

"Skye? Are you okay?" Eliza asked, taking notice that her sister had started shaking a little as well.

Skye took a deep breath and gave Eliza a reassuring smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry... and I'm sure they won't hurt us... If they do I'll protect you."

"Yeah, I know..." Eliza whispers, Skye was feeling really heartbroken at how Eliza was acting, she's usually more cheery and sometimes rude, but never like this...

An idea then popped into her head. "Hey, want to sneak out?" The older blonde asked.

"Eh? How? Mom and dad will hear us if we go downstairs." The younger sister says.

"I never said we were going to use the door." Skye said, opening her window.

"Umm I hope you realize our rooms are on the second floor... we'll die if we jump." Eliza said.

"You didn't even let me say how we'll get down, you know I don't want to commit suicide, that's why we're not jumping directly down." Skye says. "You see the tree right there? That's our way down."

"But what if it's not sturdy enough or one of us can't jump far enough?" Eliza asked.

"It'll be okay, it's like jumping from off a swing, we'll make it. But you need to stay quiet." Skye says, grabbing a small black bag and putting the strap on her shoulder. "Let's go."

Without a second thought Skye had jumped to the sturdiest branch that was closest to her room. It didn't seem to break under her weight, then again she was pretty light for 16 year old. "Okay, you're good." She told her sister.

Eliza hesitated for a moment before also jumping onto the tree, her sister grabbed her arm to keep her from falling.

~

After a few moments the girls had managed to make it down without falling.

"We actually didn't die..." Eliza said, a bit surprised.

"That's why you should have a bit of faith in me." Skye said and smirked.

Eliza had taken note on her sister's recent pride. "You've been seeming more confident these past few days... is something going on?" She asked.

"Huh? I have?" Skye seemed a bit surprised herself... maybe the reason behind it was Jax... he was a pretty confident man, he practically spoke what was on his mind... maybe he was rubbing off on her, but that's the first time someone ever has, and it was someone she only recently met. Skye had smiled and chuckled a bit at the thought.

Eliza raised an eyebrow at her older sister's strange behavior, sure she was young but she was smart for her age, she understood when things became a bit different. "Why are you chuckling...? And acting weird... Do you actually have a boyfriend, and he's making you become more confident." The younger blonde guessed.

The older blonde blushed. "Eh? What do you mean? I don't have a boyfriend, I told you before, I don't need one." She says. Yes. She realized Jax was attractive, but he was 20 and she was 16, there's no way he'd like her and there's no way she could be in a relationship and it'd work out. After all she was... too unique.

"I know, but you've been different, is it one of your friends maybe? Like that red head one you hang out with from time to time." Eliza said.

"No, it's not Logan... It's just another friend, one I met recently." Skye says. "Now come on let's get going, I don't want to be near the house right now."

Eliza pouted a bit from not getting the answer she wanted but still followed her sister.

~

Both of the girls were now at the park, Eliza was feeding the fishes in the pond and Skye was sitting on a bench, watching her, making sure nothing bad would happen.

"Have you heard any news on the murders by chance...?" Skye had heard a woman ask a male, she glanced at a couple nearby.

"No, it seems the murderer has calmed down a bit... let's hope it stays that way..." The male replied.

Skye sighed and glanced up at the clouds. 'What a strange murderer... they go on a spree and then calm down for a bit... weird... but why should I care? Not like I'd care if I die... not like anyone would...' Her eyes widened as she shook her head a bit and looked back at her sister. What were those thoughts just now?! She's never thought like that before, so why now? These past couple of weeks have been way too weird.

"Umm excuse me miss." A voice said, she turned to see a male, he seemed to be at least 23 and had olive green hair and mismatched eyes.

"Yes?" Skye says, raising an eyebrow.

"Do you mind if I sit here for a moment, I just need to clear my head, I'll be out of your hair in a sec." He says.

"Go ahead." Skye says scooting over, she stayed quiet and focused on her sister as he sat down, not really wanting to start conversation.

"You're related to that girl over there I'm guessing." The male says, referring to Eliza.

"Yeah, I am... she's my little sister." Skye says.

"Oh, I see..." The older male said. "Are her eyes like yours?" He asked her.

"Eh? What do you mean?" Skye asked, she was a bit confused about his question, but also a bit creeped out. Talking about someone's eyes aren't really good sentence starters.

"This may sound a bit creepy but your eyes are quite beautiful, I'm a psychiatrist, I work with people that have that similar dead look in their eyes, but never have I come across ones such as pretty." The male said and smiled. Skye did get creeped out a bit from his words, but she tried not to let that show.

"Thanks... I guess...?" She was confused on how to reply.

He chuckled a bit. "Yeah, I know I may seem a bit weird, but I can assure you, I'm just a regular person, I'm not a bad guy..."

"Yeah, it's okay... I understand, I'm not good with conversation either..." Skye says.

'That isn't really what I meant but if you want to think that, go ahead...' The male thought. 'A bit dense, but beautiful eyes... how unique... I kind of want a closer look at those beautiful peepers...'

The male reached a hand toward the blonde's face.

"Skye! I'm ready to go!" The voice of a younger blonde said. The male quickly retracted his hand, trying not to cause suspicion.

The older blonde then stood up. "Alright then, nice talking to you Mr..." She noticed they never traded names.

"I'm Dr. Morgan." The male said with a smile. "Here's my card."

"Oh alright, I'm Skye by the way." The girl said with a small smile, taking the psychiatrist's card. "And this is my sister Eliza."

"Nice to meet you both." The male said. The older blonde nodded and took her younger sister by the hand. Without Skye noticing, Eliza had glared at the older male.

The psychiatrist was a bit surprised, did she notice what he tried to do?

Well... it's not like he cared too much, after all she's just a child, not like anyone would believe the brat and he could easily get rid of her, not like he would care, after all she didn't have the ideal eyes... but he definitely needed to have Skye's.

~

"Skye... was that man a friend of yours?" Eliza asked. The girls had gotten hungry and didn't feel like going home yet so they went to a nearby pizza place.

"No... we just met at the park, why?" Skye said, sitting down at a table, her sister across from her.

"It looked like he was trying to touch your face..." Eliza said, her expression showed she was a bit creeped out from what she saw.

Skye raised an eyebrow, did he really try to do that? "Really? Well he seemed weird... but he didn't seem like a bad person... maybe it was a bug...?" Skye guessed.

"Whatever you think, but to me he seemed creepy... I don't like him." Eliza says.

"I'll let you believe what you want." Skye says with a sigh and small smile. Her attention was then drawn to the window, more so who was on the other side of it. Skye put her bag on her seat and stood up. "I'll be back in a sec, I just thought I saw something." The girl says before leaving the small place.

"Hey wait-" Before Eliza could speak Skye was already gone. Eliza sighed. "Leave a nine year old child in a pizza place alone... smart." She said to herself sarcastically.

Meanwhile Skye went out of the place and rushed to the person she saw, unfortunately she ran a bit to fast and bumped into their back. "Ow..." Skye mutters, backing away a bit. The person she bumped into had noticed a small nudge in his back and turned around.

"Wow, nice greeting shorty." A male voice said.

"S-Sorry Jax, I should pay more attention to where I'm going..." Skye said, chuckling awkwardly.

"What are you doing out here? It's late." Jax said.

"My parents were fighting again so Eliza and I snuck out and we're getting something to eat then heading home... hopefully they've stopped by now." Skye muttered the last part to herself.

"Oh I see... you know you could've just went to my place, I don't care and you even said it was comfortable." The male says.

"I know, but it'd be hard with Eliza there, the only 'older person' she trusts is me. Besides I don't mind spending the day outside." Skye says. Skye then felt a small bonk on the head.

"What are you dumb? Do you know what kind of people are out here?" Jax asked her.

"I know, I know." Skye says, rubbing her head. "But I've been safe, I'm more worried about my sister than I am about myself."

Jax raised an eyebrow. "Oh really? Then where is this sister of yours?" He asked.

Skye blinked twice, realizing what she just did and how selfish she just was to leave her sister in the pizza place by herself. "Crud..." She mumbles. "I'm such an idiot."

"I need to go..." Skye says, turning around.

"Ah, wait!" Jax says, about to grab her arm, but only missing it by an inch. He needed to ask her his question.

"Do I, know you from somewhere?!" He says.

Unfortunately he couldn't get a response as people had crowded his view of her. 'Tomorrow when she comes over I will get her response...'

~

"Oh yeah. Where did you run off to, you never told me?" Both girls were now walking home, it was around 7 pm so they would most likely make it home before it got dark.

"Huh? Oh yeah... I umm saw a friend and I guess I just wanted to talk with them..." Skye awkwardly answered with a chuckle.

"Must be a pretty important friend to leave me all alone." Eliza answered with a pout.

Skye chuckled awkwardly again. "I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking. I'll make it up to you, don't worry."

"Yeah, yeah..." Eliza says, rolling her eyes.

"Come on, we're almost home." Skye says.

The two walked and talked for another good 15 minutes until they got to their average sized house. And like the past few weeks both girls had felt something off when they reached the front door.

"Dad's car is gone, so he's probably at work." Eliza says.

"Let's just hope mom doesn't notice." Skye mutters. She carefully and quietly opened the door. And to their luck their mother was on the phone, too busy talking to even hear them open the door.

With a small sigh of relief Skye whispered to her sister. "You head in first, go to your room, and remember. Quietly." Eliza just nodded and without a second thought headed to her room.

Skye had done the same after she knew her sister was fine. She made it to her room and had gotten ready for bed, yes it was early, but what else was she supposed to do. Besides she had plans tomorrow and probably needed an early head start so she could have more time to spend with her 'friend'.

Skye sighed a bit as her back hit the bed. "What a long day..." She whispers.

~

All the blonde haired girl could do was sit and watch as a dark haired male was about to hang himself.

'The killer is to be executed.' That rang in her ears.

'Zack! Zack! ZACK!' No response.

~

The girl woke up with heavy breaths. She sat up. She felt something on her face, it was moist.

Was she crying? Why? She didn't know who that man was right? Right?!

She tried to sigh, but instead came out a small sob. She was still crying.

"Zack...? Who are you?" She whispered. Some more tears left her eyes.
