Panicking, Max hid underneath Duke as the Flushed Pets began to advance towards them. However, an idea popped into Duke's head as he looked down and saw the Viper's tail. "Max, hold on! I have a plan!" he cried, rushing towards the strays. "Duke, we need to go this way!" Max howled, his tail tucked between his legs.

Pushing his way through the Flushed Pets as they jumped on him, Duke finally arrived at his destination. Shaking a cat off his head, he bit down on the Viper's tail and began using the giant snake as a weapon, swinging it around in a circle. Animals flew all over the place.

Watching as his comrades were being beaten before his eyes, Snowball saw the Viper heading his direction. But it was too late for him to jump out of the way as he got whacked off of Ripper's head. All the white rabbit could do was yell in defeat before splashing in the sewer water below. Ripper remained silent, oblivious to what happened.

"Good job Duke, now let's go!" Max urged, dodging flying animals and the Viper's swinging head. Using all his strength, Duke tossed the reptile, getting it tangled around a pillar that was unfortunately close to Max. Seeing the small terrier, it lifted its head. Frightened, Max tried to back away when he realized that he was on the edge. One misstep and he would fall to the crocodiles' waiting mouths.

Hissing, the Viper went to get Max. However, he missed since he was tied in a knot around the pillar. Undeterred, it snapped at the terrier repeatedly, unaware of the danger above its head. Hearing a crack, both Tattoo and Duke looked up to see the ceiling breaking.

"Max, get out of there!" Duke barked, scaring his brother.

"Viper!" Tattoo shouted.

"Look out!" Snowball cried, holding onto a floating board in the water. But it was too late as a large chunk of the ceiling came crashing down on the Viper...
