Toomi: Akira Toriyama, the genius who created the most beloved anime that fans has mostly enjoyed, Dragon Ball.

Megumi: But the series doesn't end after the death of Buu, two different animes has been created as means to expand the story, telling the tale of powerful forms beyond that of the Super Saiyan 3.

Toomi: Like Son Goku, the Super Saiyan God

Megumi: And Son Goku, the Super Saiyan 4

Sachi: For this battle we will be granting DBS Goku his current feats and giving GT Goku his feats from the Dragon Ball Heroes and Xenoverse Games, meaning GT Goku will be growing back to full size to ensure he could fight at his fullest potential.

Megumi: And to make things a bit more fair, Ultra Instinct will not be used for obvious reasons. She's Sachi-san, Toomi-san and I'm Megumi-san.

Sachi: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armour and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle

Toomi: In ancient China, there tells the story of the Infamous God Sun Wukong, known as the Monkey King who travels alongside Tang Monk, Sandy and Pigsy to the West.

Megumi: And that story is so epic to the point a certain genius brought upon one of the most powerful character in anime, Son Goku.

Sachi: But before he was known as that, Goku under the name of Kakarot was born on Planet Vegeta under the parentage of Bardock and Gine.

Megumi: But when Frieza was planning on blowing up the planet, the couple was forced to send their youngest son onto a Planet with inhabitants so weak that not even Frieza would want to invade. A planet known as Earth.

Toomi: After crashlanding on Earth, Goku was then found and adopted by a kindly old man named Gohan.

Grandpa Gohan: Hm hm hm! What do you know? A tail? Heh heh heh! Strange fellow, don't worry, I'm a little odd myself. Eager or not.

Megumi: Well you know what they say, great legends always start of with humble beginnings. I mean Superman could vouch for that.

Toomi: As Goku grows older, he was then found by a girl named Bulma which in turn sparked a lifelong journey to become stronger, seeking training from Grandpa Gohan's own teacher Master Roshi and became one of the strongest fighters on Earth.

Sachi: And after defeating the Demon King Piccolo, Goku was then killed during a fight with his brother which resulted in him receiving further training by the God King Kai in the Otherworld who taught Goku his most signature attacks, the Kame Hame Ha, the Spirit Bomb and the Kaio Ken.

Toomi: Truth to be told, those techniques were extremely useful, capable of bringing the defeat of the Saiyans and Frieza, but that's where Goku achieved the transformation, the Legendary Super Saiyan

Megumi: And then after his second death at the hands of Cell, even further training in the Otherworld allowed him to achieve two more forms beyond the Super Saiyan, the forms of Super Saiyan 2 and 3.

Toomi: Goku then a transformation powerful enough to rival that of the God of Destruction himself, a form known as the Super Saiyan God.

Megumi: And then Goku then turns Super Saiyan Blue and then he went on to fight against the likes of Hit, Zamasu and then Jiren. And that's where he achieved a transformation more powerful than any of his Super Saiyan transformations.

Megumi: Goku, Goku, is so OP

Toomi: Being a Saiyan, Goku possesses exceptional level of strength along with super speed and durability exceeding that of normal humans

Megumi: Taking from a man who grew up killing dinosaurs, fully trained soldiers, tongue-killing bounty hunters and a Namekian, I'm pretty sure no normal human could do that.

Toomi: Goku can also jump extremely high, run and fly at speeds past the speed of light and even possesses the ability to sense Ki in the surrounding area.

Sachi: Ki is a form of energy that exists in all forms of life. By channelling his own life energy, Goku is capable of firing Ki blasts as a mean of attack and even use it to sense the power or presence of other forms of life.

Toomi: And those Ki are also the ones that enables Goku to utilize the Kame Hame Ha, a technique which involves channeling a powerful sphere of Ki before launching it out as a devastating attack.

Megumi: And also the Kaio Ken, the technique which increases Goku's power and speed tenfold or even more. Useful in pushing Goku past his limit but at the same time, puts a massive strain on his body.

Sachi: He can also master other techniques like the Solar Flare, the Destructo Disk, Instant Transmission, telepathy, telekinesis and mind reading.

Toomi: But all of that is not enough without Goku's most iconic powers, his transformations. One such is his Super Saiyan form.

Sachi: Originally thought to be a myth, the Super Saiyan transformation increases Goku's transformation by 50 fold, allowing him to move 50 times faster, hit 50 times harder and throw 50 times more damage than before.

Megumi: And the Super Saiyan 2, a form that possesses twice the amount of power a normal Super Saiyan transformation has.

Toomi: And the Super Saiyan 3, a form that looks completely different from the other two transformations. The power of the Super Saiyan 3 is for times that of a Super Saiyan 2 but it ends up draining more energy and stamina than the previous two forms do.

Megumi: But there goes Goku's newly achieved form, the Super Saiyan God.

Sachi: The Super Saiyan God, a transformation undoubtly more powerful than the Super Saiyan 3. It enables the user to possess Godly Ki which in turn grants the user regeneration and the ability to use Godly ki even in base form.

Toomi: And the Super Saiyan transformation beyond that of the Super Saiyan God, the Super Saiyan Blue. Like the Super Saiyan God, it enables the user to possess and sense Godly Ki and can also be used alongside the Kaio-Ken due to the forms great Ki control and Focused mind.

Sachi: Despite being born a low level Saiyan, Goku possesses skills, strength and speed exceeding that of his High Class counterparts. But before he was aware of his Saiyan Heritage, Goku as a kid is already strong enough to kill dinosaurs and robots several times larger than him.

Toomi: He even crossed the 1,000,000 km Snakeway (albeit only actually flew over 37,000 km because he flew over Snake Way, which is full of curves) in just over a single day or 28 Hours

Sachi: Goku also has a record of beating many of the Dragon Ball villains throughout history, beating Frieza after unlocking his Super Saiyan transformation and even killing Kid Buu with a Spirit Bomb.

Toomi: Goku has also kept up with Beerus while getting used to the newly attained Super Saiyan God transformation and even killed Frieza again when he invaded Earth.

Megumi: But this is where things really really get interesting. During a duel against the Legendary Assassin, Hit of the Sixth Universe, Goku was able to mix his Kaio Ken technique with his Super Saiyan Blue transformation which in turn helps him counter Hit's timeskip. The way time skip works is that Hit "skips" time by slowing it down to a point where time seems to have stopped for 0.5 seconds and pockets that amount of time to a stored new dimension.

Champa: You understand Hit's technique don't you? So why isn't Goku able to make contact?

Vados: My Lord Champa, don't you remember his Time Skipping move from their first battle?

Champa: Oh yeah. Where he can stop time.

Vados: You're in the right ball park, but he doesn't actually stop it. To be exact, he can skip ahead in time.

Champa: And why does that mean he can't be touch.

Vados: It's complicated sir, but basically, Hit can store up to all the time he skips over.

Champa: Oh god. Sorely how?

Vados: In a tempory space time parallel to ours. You might think of it as a pocket dimension, a place he can move through here without matter here interacting with him. Because Hit is using this ability that Goku can see him and can't touch him.

Toomi: So basically, the 1st version of time-skip is when Hit slows down time for 0.5 seconds. He can be countered by an opponent who either can predict where he is gonna be at after 0.5 seconds or if his opponent is so fast that the slowed down time has no effect on them anymore (Goku's SSBKK). Or with the case of Dyspo, Dyspo merely strikes Hit so fast before he can activate time skip.

Megumi: Man, all of that is really confusing. Well, kudos to Goku for breaking logic by moving fast enough to counter Hit's Time Skip technique.

Toomi: It's also shocking to note that during his fight against the Second Universe warriors, Goku was somehow able to resist the crushing gravity of a Black Hole. Not only that but during his fight against Zamasu, he has also mastered the ability to use the technique of the God of Destruction, Hakai.

Sachi: The Hakai is a technique completely different than Goku's other ki techniques, channeling the energy of destruction, even a tiny amount of it is more than enough to erase literally anything from existence.

Megumi: But Goku's greatest feat is Mastering the technique of Ultra Instinct, a form so rare and so difficult for even a God of Destruction to achieve. 

Toomi: And with that power, Goku eventually defeated Jiren and helped saved his Universe from the threat of erasure.

Abused Instant Transmission against Beerus, an opponent way stronger than him, who was holding back at the time, then blasts him with a Kamehameha

Is able to keep up with a Beerus who isn't using their full power in a fight (70%), more so due to his God forms. He and Beeru's clashes created shockwaves that can harm the universe and gets deadlier the further the travels through out (depends on limited range). Stated by Whis, that even he can't do anything about it. Beerus is a guy who can also extremely casually and without using his full strength, merely tap his fingertip with using ki (not physically), and blew up half a planet. Beerus also made SS3 Goku, Gohan, Gotenks, Majin Buu, and a going all out SS2 Vegeta all look like child's play.

With the Super Saiyan God Form, he created shockwaves that can destroy the Universe when he clashed with Beerus.

Beaten Jiren and with Frieza and Android 17's help, won the tournament and in the process, saved the entire Universe

Megumi: Having the powers of a God, capable of erasing anything and anyone from existence, Goku is the true God of anime.

Toomi: Sadly, that's not exactly true at all. As absurb as his power is, Goku's main weakness is his limits. Goku has been overpowered by various opponents a lot of times and even with his newest forms and power levels, Goku still ends up having people overpowering him.

Sachi: And Goku is also notorious for having some of the highest death counts, dying from Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon, sacrificed himself to save the planet from Cell and was temporarily killed by Hit's Time Skip.

Megumi: But luckily, Goku has a countermeasure for it.

Toomi: And while his transformations are powerful, they tend to exhaust Goku of his energy, draining Ki from his body. And his Kaio Ken transformation is also a reckless technique, putting a massive strain on his body dangerous to the point it can almost kill him.

Megumi: And plus, Goku's an idiot.

Sachi: Not technically, but due to the lack of education and the lack of proper skills to join the workforce plus the fact he is somewhat naive...yeah, Goku pretty much is an idiot.

Weakness

As absurd as his power is: Goku's strength, speed, ki power and durability still has limitations and Goku has been overpowered multiple times. Even in his newest forms and power levels; Goku still faces characters capable of overpowering him.

Killed multiple times;

Killed by Piccolo (to finish off Raditz)

Can be killed by planet-busting attacks. (Up to late DBZ)

Killed by Cell's self-destruction (in order to save the Earth from being destroyed)

Killed by Hit (but revived himself using his ki blast).

Vulnerable to stabbing or piercing attacks

Sobret's Bad Ring Laser almost killed Goku (he was heavily suppressed and in base form).

Goku's strength, while impressive, is not as absurd as his ki attacks

At the end of his duel against Kid Buu, Goku needed the Dragonballs in order to restore his energy. Without the wish, he couldn't even go to SSJ1.

The Super Forms and signature Ki Attacks drain his Ki.

Megumi: You know about all the things we said about Goku just now? Well the same thing happened except Beerus, Hit, Zamasu, Jiren and Broly are not involved in his transformation.

Sachi: But regardless, years later, Goku fought against a boy named Uub in the World Martial Arts Tournament, learning him to be the reincarnation of Kid Buu who died many years back.

Toomi: Seeing the potential in Uub, Goku decided to take him in, training him to become stronger and stronger everyday.

Sachi: But one fine day, his old enemy Emperor Pilaf returned in hopes of stealing the Dragom Balls.

Toomi: And he did. Successfully summoning Ultimate Shenron with the Black Dragon Balls.

Megumi: But as what most typical villains do, he make one single big boo boo.

Pilaf: Get away from me! You're three times my size! I want you to be little so that I can teach you a lesson or two!

Ultimate Shenron: So be it.

Goku: Wow. The room sure got a lot bigger now.

Megumi: They never learn do they.

Toomi: Regardless, Goku was eventually reunited with his family and has to go to space to recollect the seven Ultimate Dragon Balls to avoid catastrophic destruction of the planet, battling enemies like Rilldo and Ledgic.

Sachi: But the real problem comes from a villain name Baby, a Bio Android created by scients from the Tuffle race in hopes of eradicating the Saiyans.

Megumi: And not only did he managed to beat many of the Z Warriors, but he was also able to mind control the entire human race, turning the entire planet against Goku.

Toomi: Knowing that Goku cannot beat Baby with his current level of power, the Saiyan went to consult Old Kai and Kibito Kai and the Gods gave him something he has lost, his tail.

Sachi: Anyways, during his fight with Baby, Goku realized that not only he couldn't feel any strain in his Super Saiyan 3 form but he was also able to transform into a Golden Great Ape which in turn unlocked his most powerful transformation, the Super Saiyan 4.

Megumi: Happy Birthday to Goku,

                   He was born in a zoo

                  He looks like a monkey

                  And he smells like one too

Toomi: It was that form which brought Goku his victory over Baby. But it didn't end there.

Megumi: Yeah, Android 17 eventually turned evil and ends up fusing with a evil copy of himself, turning himself into a Super Android. Of course Goku defeated him until the Dragon Balls themselves got corrupted, unleashing seven Evil Dragons into the world.

Sachi: The first three were rather easy to beat since due to amount of power invested in them, Goku was able to beat Haze, Rage and Oceanus Shenron without the need to turn Super Saiyan 4. 

Toomi: But things went dark when Goku faces Naturon Shenron who held Pan and many of the people hostage, holding Goku back until he eventually defeated him.

Sachi: Goku then fought Nouva, Eiys and Omega Shenron alongside Vegeta and the other Z Fighters, even fusing with Vegeta to form into Gogeta.

Toomi: Now completely outclassing Omega Shenron greatly, Gogeta pretty much had the upper hand before the fusion ran out, due to the strain the power of the Super Saiyan 4 is putting on the fusion itself, thus changing the tide of the battle.

Megumi: But just when things are starting to look back, Goku then created a Universal Spirit Bomb and eventually killed Omega Shenron, thus bringing the end of the evil within the Dragon Balls. Man that was intense.

Sachi: It doesn't end there. After leaving the rest of his friends and family behind, Goku then joins the Time Patrol, even training alongside Future Trunks for six months.

Megumi: But since Corona can manipulate time, six months to them is only three days in the real world. 

Toomi: Goku's first mission was to correct an alternation in history involving his first fight with Frieza on Namek. In this altered history, Frieza: Xeno, attached to the One-Star Dark Dragon Ball was overwhelming Goku even as a Super Saiyan. However, Goku: Xeno along with Trunks: Xeno arrived just in time to save Goku from dying. The two Goku then fire a Super Kamehameha at Frieza and though he is able to hold each of them back, it causes enough distraction for to enable Trunks: Xeno to slice him in half, correcting history.

Sachi: Goku then travels through time, fighting enemies like Cumber, Towa, Dabura, Majin Buu, Janemba, Broly, Mechikabura, Demigra, Mira and Fu. Until eventually parting aways with the other Time Patrol members.

Toomi: Like what we said about Goku from our earlier analysis, Goku is an exceptional warrior, beating various enemies throughout his journey and possesses great power despite being deemed as a low level by his High Class counterparts.

Sachi: And with his tail back, Goku is also now capable of fighting at his fullest potential with the strain of his transformation no longer holding him back as it was shown during his fight with Baby as a Super Saiyan 3.

Toomi: But let's not forget his powers as a Super Saiyan 4, which possesses ten times the power of a Super Saiyan 3.

Sachi: Not only that but even in his Super Saiyan 4 transformation, Goku has been repeatly beaten and overpowered by stronger opponents, many who are physically stronger than Goku ever is.

Weakness

As absurd as his power is: Goku's strength, speed, ki output and durability still has limitations and Goku has been overpowered multiple times. Even in his newest forms, Goku still faces characters capable of overpowering him.

Killed multiple times;

Killed by Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon (concentually, to finish off his brother Raditz)

Killed by Cell's self-destruction (in order to save the Earth from being destroyed)

Vulnerable to stabbing or piercing attacks

Goku's physical strength, while impressive, is not as impressive as his ki attacks

Limited amount of Ki.

The Super Forms and signature Ki Attacks drain his Ki. While he's trained to lessen the ki drain, Super Saiyan 3, and Super Saiyan 4 still consume a lot of stamina.

Certain transformations and ki abilities can damage his body if used for too long. Sometimes uses these techniques very recklessly.

Can't breathe in space (limited oxygen)

Goku cannot sense enemies who are hiding their ki, do not produce ki or use artificial ki (like robots).

Can still suffer from diseases.

In the Future Trunks timeline, Goku dies from a Heart Virus. In the normal canon, this same Virus led Goku to lose against the physically inferior Android 19, who could have been defeated without the need of becoming a Super Saiyan under normal circumstances.

DBS Goku: WAAAHHHHHHHH!!!

Just as DBS Goku is sent flying up, GT Goku flies up, screaming out.

GT Goku: DRAGON FIST!!!

A bright yellow hue of energy completely envelops around GT Goku's body, briefly turning him into a golden dragon.

WHOOSH!!!

The Dragon flies right into DBS Goku's body, stabbing right through his heart.

DBS Goku felt his consciousness slipping just as his entire body goes off in a massive fiery explosion.

KABOOM!!!

As the explosion slowly dies down, the dragon construct flies gracefully along the air before halting it place, slowly fading away.

Just as the dragon disappears completely, GT Goku looks up, smiling as he returns back into his base form.

GT Goku: Sorry pal, looks like I win.

Megumi: Oh man. Here comes the rage from the Dragon Ball fanboys.

Toomi: To be honest, while DBS Goku has the upper hand in strength and speed. GT Goku's better experience and stamina ultimately trumps DBS Goku's raw power

Sachi: Indeed. Strength and raw power isn't always the factor, especially if they tend to take away more energy and stamina, thus weakening your body physically.

Toomi: Not to mention, GT Goku is way older and way more experienced in fighting. Even in his child-like body, GT Goku has faced opponents at similar levels with some of the villains in Dragon Ball Super, making him smarter and more experienced in dealing with DBS Goku's power.

Megumi: Not only that but with Goku's tail back, not only is he able to reach the true power of the Saiyans but he can utilize many of his forms without draining a lot of his stamina. Which makes us wonder, how is it the Super Saiyan 4 can somehow stand up against the Super Saiyan Blue if it's completely outclassed in terms of strength?

Toomi: Well you see, the difference between the Super Saiyan God and the Super Saiyan 4 transformations is the stark contrast between how the Saiyans got their power from. The Super Saiyan God and the Super Saiyan Blue transformations are taught by real literal Gods, meaning that those transformations are created to mimic the power of a God. But the Super Saiyan 4 while not as powerful as the Super Saiyan Blue transformation, lays deep within the primitive roots of the Saiyan, unleashing the true power of the Saiyan race.

Sachi: And to be fair, the tail is the exact reason why it suppresses the Saiyan's full power as shown in the video below.

Raditz: Do you realized what you have done?! Your true power is gone now! Without your tail, you've lost your ability to transform during the full moon.

Sachi: Although the Saiyans are obviously oblivious of such transformation, it no doubt shows that the Saiyan's true power lays within their primal roots. Which means their Oozaru transformation is just unleashing the true nature of the Saiyan race and that is what makes them the true Planet of the Apes.

<Megumi began imitaing a butthurt DBZ Fanboy>

Megumi: But Toomi, what about Ultra Instinct! Or better yet, GT is non-canon! They should not win bleh bleh!

Toomi: While I do agree with this, Goku already mentioned in the series that he can no longer utilize Ultra Instinct as shown in the video below.

Vegeta: Hey Kakarot! What happened to your Ultra Instinct?!

Goku: I can't do it.

Vegeta: What?!

Goku: I guessed I was pushed to the edge in the tournament and did it accidentally!

Toomi: But since that has already been proven, that is the reason why Ultra Instinct was not used in this battle. And while I agree that GT is not proven canon, it's no apparent reason to ignore Goku's feats from the series.

Sachi: And it Dragon Ball Xenoverse and Heroes, GT Goku has defeated the likes of Fu and Demigra who can manipulate time and cause Multi-Universal mayhem, and also with Omega Shenron who is capable of destroying a universe. This just shows that contary to popular beliefs, GT Goku is not weak at all.

Megumi: But in the end, it's never really about which transformation is stronger since after all, transformations are just a mean to increase power to a much higher level,  not always as a sure-win guarantee for a victory. Especially since it was shown that with hard work, training and determination, even a Base form can still have hopes of achieving even greater power. So if you ask, can Goku achieve even greater power? Yes. he Kaio-ken do it

Sachi: The winner is GT Goku

GT Goku: Sorry. I win this round.
