Katherine woke up with a start. Something's not right! She looked around her room feeling butterflies in her stomach. Her eyes moved to the lonely window across the room. A black silhouette of a man was unlocking her window. Katherine quickly pulled the covers over head. Pretend to be asleep! Pretend to be asleep! Or do I scream?!

Her heart beat faster in her chest as she heard the window open. She felt the person walk up next to her bed. Katherine squeezed her eyes shut. The blankets were suddenly ripped off of her. She opened her mouth to scream but a wet hand covered her mouth. The man turned on the lights and she saw she was face to face with Jack.

Jack took his hand away from her mouth. "Why?", she asked him.
"What?"
"Why did you kill him", Katherine asked choking back tears. "I did it for the boys, for us", Jack said. "What do you mean for us?", Katherine asked. She was seriously starting to get worried about Jack's mental state.
"He never approved of our relationship and he had me arrested for no reason", Jack explained, "Not to mention that he would try to get you to break up with me!" Katherine couldn't believe him. "So you shot him?!", she asked accusingly. "Yes. What else was I supposed ta do?", Jack asked. "Not kill my father!", Katherine yelled. Jack looked at a lost for words, water dripping off him. "I ... I didn't want to loose you again." Tears we're running down her face. "Well, you just did."
