After an hour of tears from everyone and expressing emotion, they played ukuleles, danced and even sang. As everyone was watching a romance movie from the late 1990's, they made flower crowns inside of the fort. Virgil smiled half of the whole time, knowing that he's broken, but now he's not alone.

Patton and Logan cuddled with each other in their shared blanket where Patton was falling asleep and could barely stay up after crying so hard from the movie. Roman and Virgil stayed up and finished the marshmallows that were for the night and watched horror movies until falling asleep after Heathers.

The next morning, Roman woke Virgil up. Virgil was excited to know that he was actually living a real life experience. It wasn't just a fantasy.

"Let's make breakfast!" He exclaimed but tried to make it was quiet as he could. "I don't know how to cook.." Virgil replied, "my mom never even bothered to try and show me." Virgil admitted. "Well, I'll show you! It's nothing too difficult! Just some waffles, bacon, grits and we'll squeeze oranges for orange juice!" Roman replied and got all the ingredients out.

Since it was 5:45 AM, they had quite some time while cooking. They had a ball the whole time and were genuinely having fun. And because they finished early, they went outside to pick some strawberries and rinsed them to add them to the breakfast. Patton and Logan woke up at 7:30 while Virgil and Roman washed the dishes and rearranged misplaced items in the fridge.

"Good morning Mom and Dad!" Roman exclaimed and went to hug them both as they sat at the table. "I have Mom's coffee ready and Dad's orange juice - with your vitamins!" He said and carried both trays to the table, Virgil helped by carrying drinks.

"Thank you, Virgil and Roman. How incredibly considerate." Logan grinned. "You're welcome Mr. Sanders!" Virgil replied and went back to the kitchen to pick up Roman's and Patton's trays. As they all sat down and had a bubbly conversation, Virgil couldn't help but show his anxiety from leaving his mom's side. Or so he would remember it as 'The Dark Side'.

"What's wrong, kiddo?" Patton asked, seeing the morbid glance in Virgil's hazle eyes. "My mom. I don't wanna go back to her. I'm just not ready. I know she's done so much for me and it's where I belong and-"

"Virgil, sweetheart," Patton interrupted.

Virgil looked at Patt.

"Stay as long as you like. Roman needs the company when Logan and I are at work anyways. Later today we can go shopping for some clothes for you for school and other purposes!" Patton said happily, holding Logan's hand as he stood up to put his dirty plate in the sink, and Lo followed.

Virgil sat back, looking at the ceiling and letting a tear run down his face, knowing that the treatment here was so much better. "Are you sure, Mr. Sanders?"

"Please, call me Patton or Dad. Mr. Sanders is more of Logan." Patton said and walked to the staircase, "And I mean it. Cross my heart and hope to die, stick a needle in my eye." He said and gave him a promising glance. Virgil, nodding, laughed off the fact that all of this was new and sort of overwhelming, but getting used to it wouldn't have to be so hard. He can adjust quickly.

During the day, they shopped and shopped until they were left with 5 dollars. It was amazing how all Logan, Roman and Patton had so much money and trusted each other enough to go inside of stores alone. Virgil spent at least $400 at Hot Topic and Spencer's, and a Disney merch shop. After shopping and spending all cash, they used their cards to get their hair dyed.

When they arrived home laughing like crazy, Virgil finally felt human again. "Dad, I love it here - please let me stay-" he said and dropped his bags on the couch. "Of course you can stay! And trust me when I say, the purple tips make your eyes pop out beautifully- just beautifully." He giggled.

"You know, I feel.. I feel.." Virgil said and tried to catch a word.

"Alexithymia?" Logan asked.

"What?"

"Alexithymia is a personality construct characterized by the subclinical inability to identify and describe emotions experienced by one's self or others. ... Alexithymia occurs in approximately 10% of the population and can occur with a number of psychiatric conditions." Logan said. Roman walked over, putting their bags down, "In other words, it's an emotion that people have when they're unable to express or realize how they feel," he said and started bringing their bags upstairs.

"I really think it's cool how you know so many terms, you're really cool - Mr. Sanders." Virgil said and hugged him then walked upstairs with the bags.

After 2 years of living with them, they truly did have some fights, but got through it. Roman and Virgil share a room and it was rearranged, and they watch movies every Sunday. Roman taught Virgil how to dance, play piano and even paint. Virgil taught Roman how to play the uke, code and speak in Latin. So grateful for how his life has been, that he's officially been here and has been ready to stay for quite a long time.

That's it. He left the dark sides. Wouldn't it be a shame if-
