Light-filled Olaf's vision. The castle he knew hadn't changed much but something about the lighting he thought was off.
The wall looked to be shimmering orange and red as if they were being lit by some unseen fire. Both Ame an Olaf walked down the hall towards the throne room. On the way there they quietly passed a few people, and he would watch how they would give Ame a blank greeting nod and he would return them with his own nod. Every time the person was a distance enough away, he would breathe a sigh of relief and continue on.
All of the people Olaf saw had the same feature as Ame did, all their hair was black and they all had deathly pale skin. But even so, it was easy to tell them all apart.
They continued to walk on in silence then finely they were standing at the front of the door that led to the throne room. They knocked three times and eminently the doors opened, revealing a man clothed head to toe in royal robes of red and black. Though Olaf spent most of his time around royalty such as Anna and Elsa, he still had never seen anything so extravagant as what this new king was wearing. He had a cape that slithered all the way to the floor and his crown was gold with glittering rubies
Olaf began to scan the room.
That was when he saw her.
A goddess, dressed in flames of orange and yellow. Her jet hair reached all the way down to her hips and though no windows were opened it almost seemed like it was swaying.
Olaf's jaw dropped and he turned to Ame to ask about her but then he saw the boys expression, absolutely love-struck.
Though Ame was meant to keep his emotions hidden he did a pretty bad job at it.
It was then when a voice boomed into both of their thoughts, it said
"Announcing, Apprentice Ame and the talking snowman"
After that, another voice cut through the room, one that sent a chill through the air.
"Come forward" the king announced.
"Do you know why you are here? Little snowman" Olaf only returned his question with a shake of his head. The king went on
"You are here to amuse me, so do something entertaining...or ill dispose of you"
That word didn't sit well with Olaf "dispose" what exactly would he do?
Seeing no other option and most certainly not wanting to be disposed of, Olaf decided to sing something. At first, he started off shy and soft but then he noticed Ame shooting him a look from across the room, he then began to sing louder.
His tune was jolly and he began to dance strangely. The song went something like this.

"The way that I am
I can't understand
the things that are happening around me.
I need a moment to think
or can I get a drink
All these new strange things they astound me.

These colourful fellows, dressed in red-orange, yellow.
I can't do anything but below, and there you are, hello"

He then bumped into a guard stationed by the door, who returned his nervous smile with an empty scowl.
Olaf continued to sing.
He began to notice that as he did, the expression on the king's face remained the same. It didn't bring Olaf any comfort. He then shot  Ame an anxious glance but expectedly the boy couldn't make any expression in reply, though it was apparent that he was struggling with staying straight-faced.
Finely Olaf's song had come to an end and he stood like a statue waiting to hear something from the king. A moment passed in silence before he said
"You are a funny little snowman, I will keep you here in the palace"
Olaf's heart leapt in his chest ( if he actually had a heart) he couldn't believe it, he was getting out of that jail cell. Though for a moment he felt sorry for poor Sven, he thought that it would be alright, besides that reindeer did nothing but sleep and eat and sleep and eat.
He had been so immersed in his own thoughts that he hadn't noticed Ame coming beside him and ushering him out the door. when they had made it into the hall the doors shut behind them. That very instant both Ame and Olaf began to jump around in a dance of joy. The boy then said
"I'm happy for you, now you can live here. It's been really boring not being able to talk to someone like I do with you, so this is good for me too"
Olaf smiled and nodded in agreement. Then he remembered back to that angel he had seen standing by the king.
"That girl in the thrown room, who was she?" Ame had already started walking when Olaf spoke up, but this question caused him to stop. He turned around to face the snowman then said
"She is the princess, Hikari. She is the embodiment of elegance a control" he looked to the ground as if talking to himself
"No one has ever seen her smile, not even as a child, she has never once shown any sign of weakness or emotion" then he added
"in public at least"
And let out a sigh and began to turn away when Olaf said
"Why don't you try and talk to her?"
Ame turned back around, his emotions leaking through his face
"Me? Talk to the princess? I could never, it's impossible!"
Olaf raised an eyebrow and began to walk
"Nothings impossible for me, I once saved two princesses in one day" he paused" with a little bit of held of course, but still"
Ame's astonishment was somewhat adorable and made Olaf feel glad to have a friend through all this madness.
It was in this moment that the little snowman decided to set both the princess and Ame up...he just didn't know how yet.
