Kip's POV:

Pacing back and forth, I chewed on my lip nervously. We sent Syndi out hours ago. How long does it take to convince someone to help in this dilemma?

Deadlox went to his room to sleep. Mu was still in the ward, Ssun keeping him company. Jerome went who knows where and Sky was trying to contact the other armies for assistance. I was in there as well, since I wanted to make sure nothing bad happened.

There was only two on the screen now. The leaders of Creatures and Roosters. (Think Skype call.)

"You're telling me," the one on the right spoke, rubbing his temple, "that these... gods... are killing us."

"They killed two of my friends," Sky persisted, "all I'm asking from you both is to keep watch and to not let your friends wander off alone."

"Now that you mention it," the one to the left glanced behind him, "Sly and Immortal haven't returned from the island... they haven't answered my calls either."

The guy on the right called to someone behind him, asking the person about a... Ryan?

"A friend of mine hasn't left the mines in a week," the guy on the right sounded worried now.

"If you see a cloud that looks like rainbow dust," Sky paused, "... it means they're not gonna respawn."

Ballistic's POV:

Setting down my trident, I went to the waters edge and looked around. I had to return back to base to discuss plans with my lead generals. Securing vaults, adding a layer of glass reinforcements, and stocking up on traded food.

Just as I was about to wade in I heard someone call my name. Turning, I saw the fish- amphibian hybrid come up to me.

"You don't these waters. I can lead you out without upsetting any Sky Soldiers," he said as he approached.

"And you are?"

"Husky Mudkip. Or Kip." He introduced, "Sky's said well enough about you."

"Lead the way then."

--

Launching myself off a shelf of rock, I kept up with the hybrid. We had to shift into the other form. Kip didn't change much; blue skin tone, gils on his neck, orange fins over his ears, an orange flat tail as well, and shark like teeth. I didn't change much each; dark blue skin tone, tentacles coming off my back, black slit eyes, and razor sharp teeth as well.

Diving through a small opening, Kip pushed off, exiting the shore and over and drop off. I followed as well, looking down into the black abyss. By now, by globe should be due North.

He glanced back, fins puffing out. I nodded, now leading the way.

--

My base wasn't as big as Sky's, but the glass globe protecting it made it seem so. While the lower half held water, the upper is where hybrid and crafter unable to breath water stayed. Normal squids were allowed to come and go. Most weren't as intelligent and weren't given as much choice as others.

I pulled through an opening at the bottom, entering a dry hallway. The glass tube ran under in case a crafter had to patrol down here. The waters were empty, strange.

Shaking water from my hair, I felt my form changing; shivering as the tentacles became risen tattoos again. Kip stood some ways away, wringing out a red tie. Once he was able to look around, he stared in amazement.

"Wow... it's so... amazing..."

"Did you imagine something worse?"

"By description," Kip admitted sheepishly, "never got to spy myself."

"Spy?"

"Uhhh... moving on. Where to next?"

(Kiplisstc. Whoops.)

Ending it here cause I don't want a too long of a chapter.

This describes me writing this story.
