She looked at him who sat rooted in his place shock clear on his face.

" What do you think that I don't know why you are here?" She asked him who looked at her with wide eyes.

" We loved each other Siddu and no one knows you better than me." She said looking down.

" You may be wondering how I know but if you think deeply then you yourself will know the answer for it." She said smiling at him.

He didn't say anything.....he couldn't say anything.

She sighed.

" I know you were very careful not to let me know but again I noticed some things which you didn't." She said and he looked at her for explanation.

" When you rented the room upstairs, I got suspicious because we have never seen you and somehow I felt it was you because I know the feeling when you are near to me but I ignored that feeling thinking that I missing you so much. On one day when I fainted outside my house and when I got up I was in my room. I was confused as to who brought me into my room as my father was also not there at that time and when I asked my mother about this she told me she took the help of the tenant living upstairs. And to my surprise, I got a dream of you carrying me in your arms. When I saw you in my house that day I realised that it's not a dream. When I came to know that tenant was you, I was shocked but I was happy as I didn't think I will see you again." She said smiling to herself and continued to talk when she saw him thinking.

" I got a bit suspicious when my parents weren't surprised seeing you here and moreover they mingled with you so easily as if they know you from long time."

"One day we did water fight and after that you came to my room looking worried to know if I am alright. That is when when my assumptions started."

"After that you carried me to my room many times and you didn't ask or said anything looking at your pictures that are all over the walls of my bedroom." She said looking at him who is analysing everything silently she is saying.

" You remember that day when you dropped me at the mall?" She asked and he nodded.

"That day when I returned you didn't ask me any questions like from where I am coming, what did I purchase because there were nothing in my hands except my handbag. And that day I understood that you might know that I went to the hospital but not to the mall." She said staring off into the space and he looked down.

" One day you asked me to get a file to your office and when I went to your room, I saw my photo on your bed and that's when I realised that you still love me and came here looking out for me. When we went to your office party, there I saw how my friends became your friends too and I am happy for that but I didn't miss the little things between you people.....the way you people coordinated or cooperated with each other without letting me know. The way you reacted when I wanted to drink something or eat icecream grew my suspicion more." She explained and sighed loudly.

She looked at him who didn't look at her for once.

" All these were just my suspicions or assumptions or so I thought until I saw my dairy in your room when you went to Germany. That's when all things fell into place and everything got clear to me." She said and looked at him who is closing his eyes now.

She took hold of his hands which made him look at her and she saw fear in his eyes for the first time which made her more anxious.

" You fought with your mother because of me. Didn't you?" She asked with tears and he looked away.

" Why Siddharth? Why?" She cried.

" You know why I left all of a sudden?" She asked looking at the distance.

" Your change in behavior towards me made me leave that place." She said and he just stared at her.

" You being nice to me, caring for me and talking to me normally......all these scared me so much that I had to leave as you will get attached to me again and it will rip you apart when I am gone." She said and tears fell from her eyes.

He stayed quiet listening to her but didn't dare to look at her.

" You know how I wanted to share so many things with you but I was scared what will happen to you when I am gone." She said.

He clenched his fists and jaws tightly.

" But now, I can't wait to share what I am going through as you know it already." She said through tears and he looked at her with tears.

" Please tell me Anu......you don't have any idea of how I wanted you to tell me whatever you are going through." He said and she nodded her head wiping her tears.

" During our relationship time only I used to get a lot of headaches and dizziness. I thought they may be due to stress or some weakness. When my parents thought of seeing grooms for me to get married, I couldn't even imagine someone else in your place. So I told them about you, I showed them your photos and they got convinced to meet you. I was so happy and thought to tell you the next day but I fainted all of a sudden that day." Anu paused and Sid got tensed.

" My parents took me to the hospital but doctors couldn't find the reason of my sudden fainting. After I got conscious they asked me if I had any symptoms and I told them about the constant headaches and dizziness. They did certain tests on me and told me to come on the next day. So when we went to the hospital the next day, they told us about the tumor I have in my head." Anu broke down crying covering her face.

Hearing from others was painful to him and hearing from Anu itself brought that pain to the whole new level. He can feel the pain she went through and looking at her break down for the first time that too in front of him shattered his heart into pieces.

He pulled her into his arms and let her cry.

" I am dying Siddu......I am dying......" She sobbed loudly in his arms and he cried with her.

They cried for sometime hugging each other tightly.

Anu relaxed under his hold but he was still crying clutching onto her. His sobs broke her heart into pieces and she couldn't bear seeing him like that.

" Sshhh..... Siddharth.....I am here." She hugged him rubbing his back.

He calmed down but still she could feel his shaking.

" I am scared Siddu....."

She said looking at him whose tears are still flowing from his eyes.

" I am scared for you......I know you will not able to live your life when I am gone. I don't want you to spoil your life because of me and I don't want you to stop living your life because of me." She said cupping his cheeks.

" I know you are my strong Siddu.....you will be strong and stand by my parents as their support.....right?" She asked with tears and he nodded his head.

She kissed his forehead and he closed his eyes.

" Don't leave me......please don't leave me." He cried.

" That is not in my hands Siddu..... I cannot do anything about it." She cried touching his forehead with her forehead.

" No! Don't say that, I will not let anything happen to you. I will save you at any cost." He said holding her hands tightly in his and she just smiled at him.

" Siddu, will you promise me something?" She asked.

" Anything." He said.

" If something happens to me......" He cut her off by shouting.

" No, nothing will happen to you! Don't say that again!"

" Please listen to me Siddu." She pleaded him and he calmed down.

" If something happens to me then promise me that you won't stop your life there, you won't spoil your life, you won't shut down the people around you, you won't do anything that will ruin your life. I want you to move on in your life, I want you to let people into your life, I want you start a fresh chapter of your life where there will be no sorrows and tears, only smiles and happiness should be there." She asked him all the while smiling at him.

He looked at her in disbelief.

How can she ask him such things which cannot happen without her in his life?

" Promise me Siddu....." She said forwarding her hand.

He looked at her whose eyes are with full hope and trust.

" Siddu." She called him again when he didn't respond.

" Okay Promise." He said sincerely.

She smiled widely at him holding his hand tightly.

" Thank you Siddu."

She is happy because she knows he will keep her promise.

She knows he will not break her promise and trust.

She knows he will do anything for her and this is her last wish and he will fulfill it.

" And please try to love again, I want you to have someone who can take care of you and love you. I want you to have a family, I want you to live a normal life with your family." She said leaning into his shoulder.

" Don't you think you are asking too much from me?" He asked her calmy but inside his heart shattered listening to her words.

How can he give her place to someone else?

How can he live his life with some body else which he wished to have with her?

" Siddu?" She called.

" You look tired, you should take medicines and sleep." He said getting up changing the topic making her sigh.

He picked her up in his arms and carried her to her room. He made her sleep on the bed and covered her with the duvet.

She smiled at him and drifted to sleep as she was very tired.

He kissed her forehead and whispered in her ear......

" Don't leave me."
