Anu got ready in a red saree with her hair open and wore some matching bangles. She didn't do any makeup except for some lip gloss and kajal.

She doesn't know what everyone are going to wear there but her mother insisted her to wear a saree and she just obeyed her mother.

Neha invited her to a party which is being hosted by her company for the success of a huge project. She didn't want to go as she doesn't know anyone there and it might be awkward as Siddharth will also be there.

But her conscience told her to go as she might get to know something about her past or atleast something about Siddharth. She sighed and waited for Neha to pick her up. She doesn't understand why Neha was so persistent about her coming to the party and her thoughts were disturbed by a car honk.

She quickly walked out towards Neha's car and hopped in. Neha looked at her from top to bottom and smirked at her. Anu just rolled her eyes at her expression and doesn't even want to ask for what she was smirking like an idiot.

Anu was nervous when they reached the venue. It looked like a five star hotel and she has never been to one. Neha made her relaxed and both of them walked in.

Anu was awed at the sight of the beautiful interior and decorations. Neha was greeting everyone and what surprised her more was everyone were smiling warmly at her as if they know her already. She just smiled back at them and looked around.

Raj was standing there waiting for them wearing a suit and he was looking very handsome. Raj hugged Anu when he saw her smiling at him and complemented her as she was looking obsolutely gorgeous.

While Raj and Neha were busy talking to their colleagues, Anu stood there looking around and saw there were many top businessmen and also many  beautiful ladies. She also spotted media at one corner who were waiting eagerly to capture everything they can.

Then there was suddenly a rush going inside the hall as if some VIP was arriving. Everything around them went silent as everyone are looking at the entrance of the hall for someone.

She stood rooted in her place when she saw Siddharth walking in wearing a black tuxedo looking devilishly handsome as ever. She knows he is Neha's boss but she didn't know that he was such a big person in the country for whom many top businessmen and media are waiting.

She gulped at the memories she had with him and realised that she treated him as a common man when in actual he is a celebrity. He too behaved normally with her but not as a celebrity.

She snapped out of her thoughts when she heard a loud applaud and looked around to see everyone are clapping for Siddharth who was standing royally at the podium arranged for him.

He smiled at everyone and thanked everyone for joining him in his success party. Media asked him some questions and he answered them flawlessly without any hesitation. Everyone present there are gawking at him as if he was a god came from heaven but then Anu realised that he was surely looking like a god.

And she doesn't even want to mention about the ladies in the hall who were openly ogling at him as if given a chance they would eat him. She literally cringed at that thought and glared at those girls but she sighed again thinking who will not ogle at such a fine specimen.

She didn't hear anything but just stared at him all the while and one question bought her attention.

" Mr. Khurana, you are the most eligible bachelor in the country whom every girl wants. We would want to know whom you want?" Some media channel asked the question.

" Someone who loves me from heart."

He said simply.

" I love you from heart..... please love me too!"

" I love you from my whole being.....please marry me."

" I love you!"

There were some girls who were shouting from the crowd making everyone laugh making Anu look at them bewildered.

" Mr. Khurana, what would be your answer?" Some journalist asked laughing.

" No." Siddharth said.

" For whom you would say yes?"

" For someone whom I love." Siddharth said intently.

" And who it might be?" They asked curiously.

" There is someone who is there who loves me and whom I love." Siddharth said seriously.

Anu's heart was pounding against her chest.

" So you are saying you are not single anymore?"

" Yes, I am not single." Siddharth declared making every girl present there dissappoint.

Anu doesn't know what she was expecting from him but hearing him her heart shattered. He has already someone in his life and she has feelings for him. Neha and Raj were looking at her cautiously now and them watching her.

" And who is that lucky girl?" She heard the question.

" I cannot say because she might not like it." Siddharth said smiling.

" Looks like you care for her a lot?"

" Yes more than anything." Siddharth said in a heart beat earning awes.

Anu could not ponder what's happening with her and she just stood there blankly.

" Can you say something about her? Please......" They requested making him agree.

" She is a simple girl. She doesn't wear any makeup, her smile is enough. She doesn't wear any expensive branded clothes, her simplicity is enough. She doesn't go around partying and drinking, she just visits temple. Wherever she is, her simplicity and elegance stands out. Her eyes always searches for mine and my heart always beats for her. Whenever I look at her, my heart feels content and says that nothing else is needed only she is enough. There are times we had to stay away from each other and to say the truth we are still staying away from each other but our hearts still beats for each other and our eyes still search for each other." Siddharth said everything ending up in tears.

Everyone and everything around them was silent. Everyone listened to him as if in a daze and looked at him in awe. No one had ever thought that the rich arrogant business man Mr. Siddharth Khurana has such a pure and lovely heart.

Neha and Raj were also in tears. They both looked at Anu who was staring stunned at Siddharth with tears flowing from her eyes.

" Wow! Now we all definitely want to see her." A journalist murmered in the Mike.

" Mr. Khurana, it was glad to talk to you and to know your love life and we all wish you a very good luck in winning your love." They all wished and ended their program.

Siddharth just smiled weakly at them.

He left the podium and went outside the hall to compose himself.

"Anu why are you crying?" Neha asked.

"I am crying?" Anu asked touching her cheeks.

" Sorry, Hearing Siddharth.....I didn't realise I was tearing up. He is great, his love is great and the girl whom he loves also seems to be a little great girl." She said smiling wiping her tears.

" Yes, they are great." Both Neha and Raj said with tears.

" Now, why are you both crying?" Anu asked baffled.

" What Siddharth said was true." Saying this they both hugged Anu who was confused now.

Then they both were dragged by their colleagues to dance and Anu sat enjoying their dance. She suspected something going on between them from a long time now and she just waiting for them to tell her on their own.

" May I have a dance with you?" She heard someone ask.

She turned to her right and saw a handsome man in a grey suit smiling at her warmly. She didn't know why she agreed maybe because of his warm smile.

" But I don't know to dance." She said walking beside him.

" Me too. Just sway to the music." He said shrugging.

" Okay." She said and they danced.

More than the dance, they were continuously talking and laughing. She was never comfortable with strangers but she didn't feel uncomfortable with him. He seemed nice and while dancing also he maintained a proper distance with her and it felt like siblings were dancing.

She felt a brotherly feeling from him exactly like how she feels with Raj.

" You didn't tell me your name." She asked when they stopped dancing.

" You didn't ask." He said smirking.

" What is your name?" She asked rolling her eyes at him.

" Karthik." He said smiling.

" Ananya." She said smiling back.

" I know." He said.

" How?" She asked raising her brows.

" She has a very big mouth you know." Karthik said pointing at Neha who was talking continuously without taking a breath.

Anu laughed loudly.

" She is my best friend." Anu playfully glared at him.

" Oh, I know that too." He said proudly.

" You seem to know to a lot about me." Anu asked narrowing her eyes at him.

" You don't have any idea about it." Karthik muttered.

" What?" She asked.

" Nothing, I have to go now otherwise that possessive freak will kill me!" Saying this Karthik vanished making Anu gasp loudly.

She looked around for him but he was not there, she wondered if he knows magic or what.

" Looking for me?" A voice whispered in her ear making a shiver run down through her spine.

His voice itself was enough to make her go crazy. She turned swiftly and saw him so close to her looking at her intensely. She moved back and looked at him.

" Hi Siddharth." She said smiling a little.

" It's Siddu for you." He said seriously and she nodded her head.

" Enjoying the party?" He asked.

" Yes, it's amazing." She said smiling.

" Now can I have a dance with you?" He asked and she looked at him shocked.

" I.I don't know to dance." She stuttered.

" But a while back, I saw you dancing pretty well with that idiot." He said gritting his teeth.

" Idiot? You mean Karthik?" She asked and he nodded clenching his jaw.

" Oh no, we were not dancing.....just goofing around.....all we did was talk and laugh." She said laughing.

" Then do that with me too." He said taking her hand making her heart beat race.

" Siddharth No! I will embarass you." She said worrying.

" I said call me Siddu......" He said angrily.

" Yeah Siddu.....sorry!" She said sheepishly.

He dragged her to the dance floor and started to dance to a romancic song.

By the time they finished their dancing everyone were looking at them in awe which made Anu nervous and she walked away from him.

" What happened?" He asked frowning.

" It's not right to dance with another girl when you are in a relationship." She said looking down.

" Relationship?" He looked at her baffled.

" Yes." She looked at him confused.

" Who told you?" He asked her.

" You only said right at the beginning of the party." She says annoyed at him.

Then it hit him.

He had announced it in front of the whole world that he is not single and he didn't know that she was here at the party and heard him.

Oh God! What he should do now?

Why his life becomes more complicated than already it is?

" But you are not any another girl." He said seriously.

She gulped at his words.

What does he mean?

Does she mean something to him?

Then what about the girl he loved?

Why her life can't be simple?

They both stared at each other as if they will get answers in each other's eyes.

He didn't know she was coming to the party, Neha must have brought her and he knew that she was upto something when he saw her smirking at him.

He wanted to invite her but didn't because he is losing his control when she is in front of him. He wants to tell her what is she to him, what was he to to her and lay out the whole truth in front of her whenever she is near him.

When he was talking to some delegates at a corner of the hall, he saw something unique. A girl wearing a saree and he felt her and thought it was her.

And the way she was carrying herself and the her gorgeous look in the saree confirmed him that it was her. He went after her but missed her in the crowd. But next he saw her dancing with Karthik, his blood boiled and he got jealous as some other man was touching her.

Immediately he stormed over there and was ready to lash out on Karthik but that idiot ran away.

Good for him.

And now she is in front of him. His mind stuck at the thought to tell her the truth and also what may be the consequences if he tells her.

" Ha! I guess you both have met!" They heard and saw grinning Neha and Raj.

Siddharth glared at her which she ignored as usual.

" Your both dance was so romantic and amazing." Neha said dreamily while Raj rolled his eyes at her.

" Hey guys! What's up!" Karthik came near them shouting.

" I am hungry!" Neha said.

" Me too." Anu added.

All the three boys sighed and moved them to the food section.

All five of them ate enjoying the food and Siddharth took Anu to the Icecream section which made her squeal like a little girl with excitement.

" She surely loves icecream." Neha said chuckling looking at Anu eating icecream like a kid.

" Yeah, it's been a while she didn't eat maybe like 2 years." Siddharth said with pain evident in his voice.

" Yeah, but I think she loves icecream more than you." Karthik said seriously which made Siddharth scowl at him.

" No, she loves me more." Siddharth glowered.

" Truth hurts Sid, but it's clears that she loves icecream more." Karthik said smugly pointing at Anu who was running here and there tasting different flavours.

" No, me!" Sid argued.

" Nope, Icecream." Karthik smiled.

" No!"

" Yes!"

" No!"

" Yes!"

" No!"

" Yes!"

" No!"

" Yes!"

Raj and Neha looked at them to and fro astonished as they were fighting like little kids.

" No!"

" Yes!"

" No!"

" Yes!"

" Umm guys what's happening here?"

They heard and turned to see a baffled Anu looking at them like they escaped from a mental asylum.

" For what you both are fighting like that?" Anu asked them.

" I was saying you love icecream more  and he is saying no......" Karthik trailed off not knowing what to say while Raj and Neha trying to stop their laughs.

" What? You both were fighting like that to see if I love icecream more or not?" She asked stunned.

" Umm.....yes......" Karthik said scratching his head.

Anu laughed out loudly clutching her stomach and tears were coming out of her eyes while Neha and Raj also joined her.

Siddharth though looked embarrassed, he was happy to see her laugh. He saw her like this after many months and it's so refreshing to see her laugh like this.

Soon the party ended and Neha went off with Raj leaving Anu so that Siddharth can drop her. Anu came outside and looked for Neha but she didn't find her.

" Anu, what are you looking for her?" Siddharth asked her.

" Neha." She said.

" She is gone with Raj." Siddharth informed.

" What? How can she leave me here? I came with her!" Anu exclaimed.

" Maybe they wanted to have sometime alone with each other." Siddharth said smirking.

" Oh! So, my suspicions are right about them." She said thinking.

" I will drop you off." Siddharth stated and walked ahead towards the parking lot and she followed him not having any other choice.

Siddharth opened the car door for her and she smiled at him thanking.

They both sat in silence and Anu wanted to ask him many questions.

" Siddu?" She called.

" Hmm."

" How much do you know about me?" She asked not looking at him.

He stiffened.

" You know me even before that incident at the mall right?" She asked him hopefully.

She saw him clenching his jaw looking straight ahead.

" Siddu?"

He didn't answer but his silence gave away her answers.

He could tell her that he knew her a way before and he was in her past too but he was afraid to answer the questions that will arise after that.

" I know Siddu, everyone are hiding something from me but I am not pestering anyone for the answers as the only thing they want me to do is to  wait." She said staring outside the window.

" Why?"

She heard him ask.

" What?" She asked him.

" Why do you want to know?"

" Why do you want to know that too now?"

" You went away leaving everyone here and now you came back and demanding answers. Why?"

" You wanted to move on in your life leaving your past behind. Then why do you want to know?"

He fired questions at her looking straight ahead clenching his fist on the steering wheel and she looked at him shocked.

Anyone would think he was angry but no he wasn't angry, she saw hurt in his eyes and heard pain in his words.

His questions were piercing her mind like knives as she raked her brain for answers. Little did she know that only her heart could answer them not her brain.

The most disturbing thing is the pained look Siddharth has on his face and the thought of her hurting him is  itself killing her from inside.

Did she anyway had hurted him in the past?

Was she the reason of his pain?

Car came to an abrupt stop making her look at him.

" We reached your house." He said calmly.

" Can I talk to you for a minute?" She asked awkwardly.

He closed his eyes as to why he behaved like a jerk to her and nodded his head at her.

" I don't remember anything about my past. But slowly I am getting to know some things about my past and you are one of them. I don't know what I had done in the past that gave you so much pain but I would like to say I am sorry for whatever reason it is. Yeah, it was true I ran away as I was not able to cope up with the information of my memory loss. I thought of staying away for a while is better to sort out things than being here and hurting them all the time. It was also true that I thought of moving on but not by leaving my past behind as without my past there will be no present for me. From the time I came here I am asking and trying to know but no one would tell me as if everyone got training to hide things from me. Even you too......you also hid things from me, you behaved like we met for the first time even though you knew me before." She paused and looked at him.

Her teary eyes made his heart clench.

" Now also I asked you because maybe I can get answers or maybe I can remember something but you also dodged away like everyone did. I think I should just stop asking questions because in this way I am hurting myself and others also. I am so sorry for everything." She said looking into his eyes and tears freely fell from her eyes stabbing his heart.

She turned away wiping her tears and got down the car saying him thank you. She went inside the house and he was still there in the car looking at the close door of her house.
