The three were very confused,what was a little boy doing out here,at night,and on his own?Akko tried to move closer,but the boy tried to scratch at her.The young witch flinched and backed away. "N-no.Witches...bad." He said shivering.He was so scared. "Poor thing looks so scared." Lotte said. "Indeed,we need to show him that we're aren't threats." Akko replied.She slowly moved closer,she held her hand up.The small cat boy looked up and saw what she was doing.He also moved his hand up and he touched her hand.She gently moved her fingers over his small hand.She slowly moved her other hand towards him and gently began to pet his head. "See,we won't hurt you.Not all witches are bad." The boy showed a small smile. "What are you?" Akko then asked. "I think I've heard of them,they're called Nekos." Answered Sucy. "Neko's?" The other two witches asked. "Yeah,they're a race a people with cat ears and tail,they are usually treated like people despite their animal characteristics." Sucy continued.They all turned back towards the Neko.Akko let go of his hand and stopped petting him. "Do you have a name?" Lotte asked. "C-Cole." He replied.The three witches smiled. "I'm Akko." Akko said. "I am Lotte." Lotte said. "Sucy." Said Sucy.Cole tried to stand back,but he collapsed almost instantly. "Oh boy,I think hurt your leg when you tripped.I think it's best we take you back to our school." Akko said. "What?!Bringing a boy into an all girls school?Are you nuts?!" Lotte said. "Oh,okay.Lets leave the injured little boy all by himself in the woods at night!" Akko said sarcastically. "Eh,fair enough." Lotte relented. "We'll just bring him there for now until will figure out what to do." Akko explained.The other two girls agreed.Akko gently picked Cole up.Cole tightened his grip on Akko's uniform and hugged her round her neck.She gently ran her fingers through his hair. "So cute!" She thought to herself.They were thankful that it was night,so they wouldn't draw attention. "Here we are,Luna Nova Magical Academy for witches." Akko said.They all walked inside and head to their dorm.Akko gently layed Cole on her bed. "Now I know we have a med kit somewhere...ah here it is." Akko said.She grabbed the bandages and wrapped it around Cole's shin. "Probably should stay off it for a while." Akko said after she finished. "Now,down to more important things,like why your here all by yourself." Akko said somewhat sternly as she sat next to him. "Yeah,don't you have parents who probably worried sick about you?" Lotte said as she and Sucy sat across on the other bed.Cole actually began to tear up a little.The witches were a little surprised and confused. "My real parents die in accident.I was adopted but...but..." He said.He rolled down his sleeve,revealing multiple cuts and bruises,and even whip marks.The trio were shocked. "They-they abused you?!" Lotte asked.Cole nodded. "Even...the little mistakes...they still hit me..." He said with more tears pouring out. "How long have you been on the run?" Sucy asked. "One week." Cole replied.Akko decided to comfort the little cat boy.She slowly brought him closer and hugged him.He wrapped his arms around her stomach and began to sob as he rested his head on her shoulder.She gently petted the back of his head. "Its alright,shhhhh.Just let it out." She said.And Cole did. "I think its best he stays here for night.In the morning we'll work out what to do." Akko said after she let go.The other two girls nodded in agreement.The girls got ready for bed,with Cole giving them some privacy as they changed.Akko let Cole sleep in her bed.Cole began to fall asleep,holding the stomach area of Akko's shirt.Akko scratched his ears which made him giggle a little. "Who could hurt a cute little thing like you?" She thought to herself before falling asleep herself.
