Buying an outfit

That annoying moment when you're buying an outfit for yourself and these things happen:

#1: The huge "SALES" banners

You walk past a shop and you see this huge banner/sign saying how BIG their discounts are and how AMAZING their sales are. (Usually happens during festival seasons). So, you have this spark of hope inside of you and you turn around, making your way in with the expectation that every single item is on sales. But, uh-uh, no. You go in and find out that only a few selected items have the CRAZILY AMAZING discount while the rest have little to no discount. And those selected items with the "crazy discount" are usually weird styles that nobody wants. I know this is normal, but still I was hoping to get my favourite outfit on discount because I'm broke.

#2: Trying out your outfit at their dressing room

You finally found a dress/shirt/skirt/trouser/shorts/whatever else that you like and you can't wait to see how it looks like on you, so you dash towards the dressing room and take one of those signs with the number of clothes you're taking. You walk into the dressing room and...where is the bench? Okay, I know a bench is not compulsory, but it would be nice to be able to put your handbag or try out a sitting position in your new outfit. (You have to make sure the dress/skirt isn't too short while you're sitting down, right?) I mean, you got to try doing different everyday positions to make sure the outfit is totally comfortable, right? (Just me? Okay, fine.)

No bench? It's okay, no big deal. Wait...now where's the hook? How am I supposed to hang my things? I am not putting my belongings on the floor. NO WAY, man! (Yes, I have come across dressing rooms where there is no hook at all.) Okay, fine, I'll just change to another room. Oh, great! This one has a hook, but only "a" hook. Dude, one hook is not enough for me, I need at least two hooks. One for my handbag and one for my outfit while I try on to yours.

*So yeah, I ended up clipping my shirt between my knees while I change a few times and let me tell you, it's hard. Especially when you're trying out a trouser, so you have to put it on your shoulders while trying not to let it slip.

#3: Trying out your outfit at home

So, you're satisfied with the clothing you chose and paid for it and goes home with a big smile on your face. When you reach home, you think "okay, maybe I'll try again and see how nice it is. I like how it looks on me, anyway."

You happily change into the new outfit and you look up to the mirror with the same expectation you got from the dressing room, but—wait, it doesn't look so bad when I tried it!  *tries adjusting the outfit and observes from different angles and then gives up and cries*

I know the lightings in the dressing rooms are made to emphasize how nice the outfit look on you. But at least make it realistic. Do you know how heartbreaking it is to find out how horrible it looks on you when you looked like a princess before you paid for it? Or maybe it's just the outfit. Maybe they think they don't have to impress you anymore, so they don't even try to make you look good after that. Like, mission accomplished. The victim paid for it, hence, our job here is done. *laughs devilishly*
