Plain woke up. She wished she hadn't, because a pack of dragonbite vipers were getting too close for comfort. In a panic, she grabbed her belongings and shot off into the sky, only looking back to see her rabbit being devoured by the snakes. Moons, she thought that was my last one. She checked what she had left. Five camel skins of water and one large deer. Good for tonight, she thought. Tomorrow I'll have to go hunting. She resumed her seemingly endless journey to Jade Mountain. She was traveling at exactly the right angle to see Jade mountain as a big lump of rock that vaguely resembled a snake. All the stories about how it looked like a snake were greatly exaggerated. She slept in a cave that night. She had a very disturbing dream. She was lost in the woods at night (also she was a scavenger without a head, that part was a little weird.) a white wolf was stalking her. For some reason she could hear a voice in her head. Soon, Plain. Soon. She woke up screaming, and spent five minutes screaming without pausing to breathe. Then her lungs screamed for air, and she gulped a mouthful of it unconsciously. Judging from the sun, it was about 3:60. She had slept in. She grabbed her bag, and grabbed the carcass of the deer, broke off one of the ribs and put it in her mouth to suck. And then she remembered that that meant she had to go hunting. She groaned and grabbed her spear-the one that she had made by mimicking scavengers. She set off towards the lake. She had pretty good hunting, but after she had taken down her sixth rabbit and decided to go back to have breakfast, she saw a pack of wolves circling her. The wolf from her dream stood forward. He began softly chanting "soon, plain, soon. Soon, plain, soon." Softly at first, than getting louder as the other wolfs joined in. "Soon, plain, soon. Soon, plain, soon ,plain, soon." "SOON, PLAIN" boomed a resounding voice in her head. Then the wolves disappeared with two of the rabbits.
