Arrow was terrified. Why had he told Sei everything? She was in so much more danger now... if Hearth found out... it must have been the blood loss. Sei had once told him that blood loss affected the brain. He never wanted to be seen as so vulnerable... whining to Sei about all of his issues... ARGH. And now her life was in danger! He cared about her more than ever now that he knew that she loved him back... was there any way he could undo what he'd told her last night?

"Hey, Arrow," Sei said, landing across the river from him. "I told you that you should rest. Meaning no pacing." He sat down with a growl and turned his head away from her. "Hey—why are you mad at me?" She asked, hopping over the water.

"Forget everything from last night," he snarled. "Knowing about... all that... puts you in danger."

"Even..." Sei said nervously.

"No, I really do love you," he growled, a bit embarrassed. "Just forget everything else."

"No," Sei replied promptly. "It's really serious. You can't just ignore this." He could certainly ignore her, which he did, for the record. "Look... I know how it feels to be trapped under someone who just wants to hurt you. I know it's scary, but—"

"Stop," he grunted, stopping her. "You were with Currasow for under a month. This had been years, Sei. Almost my whole life! And in case you hadn't noticed, Hearth is about three times bigger than Currasow is, and probably twice as crazy. So don't try to say that you know how I feel. You have no idea."

"S-sorry," Sei stammered. "I was just trying to help."

"Well, you're not," he snapped, and then fumed for a minute. "I'm sorry. Just... please forget about it, okay?"

"No!" Sei protested. "You can't let him hurt you anymore! And I can't just stand by and watch the dragon I love keep being hurt. That's it, we're reporting him, right now, to Tarsier."

"Why would Tarsier listen?" Arrow asked. "He must hate me for what happened to Currasow. And you can't go back there, either."

"Watch me," she said, and took off.

"Wait!" He called, trying to lift off and falling from the sharp pain in his chest. "At least let me go with you! For protection!"

"You're no protection in this state," Sei pointed out, hovering above him. "Currasow can't do anything to me, not with his parents watching."

"Hearth will have your head!" He warned.

"Not if he's in prison!" Sei said determinedly, and soared away.
