That's awesome, I've never actually seen a chef OC before.

Residence: Ice kingdom

Good

Appearance: Crystalline is a light purplish colour, with a white underbelly. Her wings fade from teal-grey to white, as do her horns. She is an average height for a 10-year-old, a bit muscular (from lifting heavy pots of food), and her head is somewhat large in proportion to her body. She has a scar on the left forearm (explained in backstory). Her eyes are a dark teal. She wears a bright turquoise and pink apron with a ladle and fork in the pockets. The front reads, I <3 FOOD. I might have a picture of her in my art book.

I really like the purple scales, you don't see that very often. Otherwise she's pretty average. It's not awesome, but it's not bad. I did smile at the apron. I, too, love food. In fact, I would die without it.

Personality: Crystalline is very energetic. She comes off as ditzy and scatterbrained. She is very disorganized, and is often late. She gets along with anyone who is willing to put up with her, especially dragonets. Unfortunately, most Icewings find her to be a pain. She is playful and fun-loving, although a bit of a coward.

This is alright. She's like, the exact opposite of what an IceWing is supposed to be, which on one hand is pretty original. It's nice to see dragons that differ from the norm sometimes. On the other hand, it would have a pretty huge effect on her. It's good that you said most IceWings dislike her, because they are IceWings after all, but I think it would affect her even more. She might find it hard to find work because most IceWings look down on her, and she'd probably be bumped down a circle or two.

Family: A mother named Ivory, an father named Muskox, a brother named Wolf, a sister named Glitter, a mate named Igloo, a daughter named Lemming, and a son named Walrus.

"Backstory: Like any Icewing, Crystalline was trained for battle from birth. Her sister was a powerful fighter, and her brother followed orders perfectly. She, however, did not. She was clumsy and uncoordinated, and too friendly to hurt another dragon. Her parents tried to make her tougher, since they were in the fourth circle and wanted their children to increase their reputation. She got the scar on her arm from a fight during training, which she lost. At the age of two, she met Igloo. He was training to be a spy, and one of the only Icewings Crystalline had met who had a flamboyant sort of personality. During a battle one night, a storm broke out. Although it saved her life (the dragon she had been fighting was flung into a tree by a strong gust of wind), she lost control of flight and was separated from the other soldiers. Since she has a terrible sense of direction, it took her three days to find her way back. Using only the limited resources she had, she could create several surprisingly tasty meals for survival. This was when she discovered her love of cooking. She returned home safely, and quit her previous occupation as a soldier to pursue her newfound culinary interests. Although she could not breath fire, she found ways to prepare equally delicious cold meals. She had, at one point, wanted to go to the Sand Kingdom to learn more about cooking with heat, but stayed out of loyalty to the Queen. Igloo, who had grown to be her best friend, was able to help. His sharp sense of taste and smell was useful for testing food, as her senses were duller. At the age of eight, she proposed. They married and had two children. Lemming grew to be a successful merchant, and Walrus became a royal guard.

This backstory is mostly pretty good. It's cute, nothing too crazy. She just seems like a silly, fun-loving chef, which I love. But she is an IceWing, and based on the way she acts, I think many IceWings would view her as an idiot and think she was uncivilized. I think, if you want, you could add that to her backstory more. Especially because Igloo is a royal guard, he'd be expected to marry someone of a higher circle.

Anyway, this backstory is very simple. It's cute, but I don't think you could make a story out of it or anything. It's just not that interesting. Otherwise, it's fine.

Overall
Crystalline gets a 7/10. I like her appearance, it's nice, but nothing special. I think that the high expectations and strict rules of IceWing society should affect her more. Otherwise, she's a very average OC. Nothing special. I don't dislike her, and she's pretty original in some ways, but you could make her more interesting.
