Residence: The Deep Palace

Appearance: Jellyfish is a deep blue dragon. She has aquamarine wings, a teal underbelly, and blue-green eyes. She has a dark blue forehead & horns. She is skinny, and rather short compared to most dragons. She has green light-up scales and bluish-green eyes. She has a gold loop earring with a small green gem in one ear and a matching necklace. She carries a woven kelp bag.

Short, but good. Dark blue is kind of overused in SeaWings, but that's understandable. I'm not sure I like the green light up scales, that kind of doesn't go with the rest of the appearance. Otherwise, I like this. It's cute and simple.

Personality: Jellyfish is a nervous, skittish dragon. She is often startled by sudden movements or small noises. With trusted friends or family, she comes out of her shell and becomes more adventurous, often exploring the areas around the Deep Palace with friends. She loves art, and if given a choice, she would rather stay at home and work on a sculpture or other art than interact with strange dragons. Given the opportunity, her large ego shows itself and she can become cocky and bossy. She is cheerful and optimistic, and tries to be friendly. However, she is introverted, and hates crowds and gets nervous near them.

Okay! I like it. There's a good balance of good and bad traits here. This isn't the most original personality, though. A lot of people make their OCs the shy, introverted type. But you added a few things that make it better. I like that she can be cocky and bossy, that's not something you'd expect to go with the rest of her personality. It's more interesting. Still, this type of personality is so overused, it's hard to be original. Overall, I'd give this a "meh."

Family: Her mother, Dolphin. Dolphin is a skilled chef at the Deep Palace. Her father, Kelp. Kelp is a minor noble and former general, who believes everything should be for the good of the queen and the Kingdom of the Sea. Her brother, Wave. Wave is a veteran who lost a leg & a wing in a battle.

Alright! I like that you described her family a little. Question, by "minor noble" do you mean that he's related to the queen somehow? Because otherwise, Jellyfish wouldn't have animus powers because it only runs in the royal bloodline.

Backstory: Jellyfish lived a fairly normal dragonet life until she turned three, when she discovered her animus power. She kept it a secret for several years, until her brot came home from the war missing a leg and a wing. She used her sculpting skills to carve a new, fake leg, and enchanted it to function like a real one. When she presented it to him and revealed her powers, her father demanded she use her powers to benefit the queen. Her mother persuaded him to wait to tell the queen for several years. He agreed to wait until she turned ten to reveal it to the queen.

That's it? It's very short. I'm left with a lot of questions. As I mentioned before, is she related to the queen? How did she discover her powers? What about the Talons of Power ceremony? What happens when they do tell the queen about her powers?

Anyway, this is okay so far. I like what she did for her brother, that's cute. But then, other dragons would have to find out about her powers wouldn't they? I mean, surely someone would have noticed that Wave lost a leg then suddenly gained one again. 

Other: Her kelp bag contains a quill enchanted to draw anything pictured in the user's mind and a spear enchanted to be moved telekinetically. Her necklace is enchanted to keep her soul from being taken by her magic, and her earring is enchanted to whisper in her ear whenever she is making a bad decision. (The earring and necklace are the first things I would make if I had animus powers xD)

Okay. The first two are pretty simple enchantments, and the earring is really cool. Though, do enchantments to protect the soul even work? Darkstalker made one, but he also tried to take over the Kingdom iirc, sooo..

Overall
I give Jellyfish a 7/10. I like her appearance, and her personality is okay but not great. The main problem is with the backstory. It's so short and doesn't go into detail on anything, and it ends before I find out what happens. It could use some work.
