A/N: Hey guys! This request was by ManagerTanager and it was a really specific request but a LOT of fun. I hope you like it (kinda changed the ending tho, whoops)

Qibli wasn't sure when it happened. They had been locked in a strange room for ages, and Qibli had no one there except an IceWing who hated him across the room from him.

Qibli wasn't sure when it happened. One day he and Winter were best of friends (thought Qibli was hoping they would eventually become more) and the next day, they were in a strange black room, and Winter hated him. As though everything they had been through had never happened.

The worst part? Qibli was also starving to death. They were given food each day. One slice of bread and a small cup of water, but before Qibli could even get a sip of the water or the tiniest piece of bread, Winter snatched it away.

Qibli wasn't going to do anything about it, either. He didn't want to make Winter mad more than he already was.

Three days had passed, and even as a SandWing, Qibli couldn't go much longer without water or food.

"Winter," Qibli croaked, his voice hoarse from dehydration and the lack of words they had said. "Please. Let me just have a sip of water."

"Why should I?" Winter snarled. "I hate you."

"Winter," Qibli begged. "Please. I know you may hate me, but I don't hate you. You're not a bad dragon. Winter, I love you."

Winter's eyes widened and then he quickly shut his eyes, gripping the sides of his head. "No!" He shouted. "Qibli, what have I do--I hate you!" He paused, and Qibli looked at him again. He didn't look angry anymore. He looked distraught. "What have I done?" Winter whispered.

"Hey," Qibli said softly. "It's okay, Winter."

"Qibli," Winter said softly. "Do you really love me?"

"Of course I do, buddy," Qibli replied. Qibli could feel himself getting weaker. He knew he wasn't going to last much longer. But he wasn't sad to die anymore. He was happy. Happy that he had brought Winter back.

"I love you, too," Winter said, and Qiblibsw a tear trace down his face.

"I'm sorry, Winter," Qibli said, laying down on the ground.

"No!" Winter shouted, rushing to Qibli's side. "No, you can't leave me. Here, ill give you the food and water. I'll be fine for a few days."

"Winter," Qibli whispered, desperately trying to keep his eyes open. "It's okay. I'll die knowing that you love me as I love you and that you're free. You're not angry anymore."

"You can't die," Winter whimpered. "Please, Qibli."

"I'm sorry," Qibli repeated, and he closed his eyes, letting the darkness consume him.
