Everything was pitch black. The dragonet kicked the walls of the black room. Crack! He peered through the opening of the room. What's out there? This time, he charged through the opening.

The dragonet tumbled out. Two other dragons were watching him. The dark dragon stared at him. "This one can read minds!" Darksoul shouted, "how useful can that be? Very useful!"

"Remember Darksoul, don't use this power to harm innocent dragons,"
"I know,"
"Now lets get on to the naming part,"
"He will be umm Darkfire?"
"Ok."

          Darkfire could hear what Darksoul (Darkfire's father) and Starrynight (Darkfire's mother) was thinking. Please Darksoul don't turn on me and always remember what I told you.
          
          Oh right, Darkfire can read my mind. Hey Darkfire, if anyone tries to hurt you, run to me and I will protect you even with my life, thought Starrynight. Darkfire, who possibly couldn't understand shrugged his shoulders confused. Are you my mother and father, Darkfire wondered.  The thing he wondered most about them was what were their names.
