2 weeks after Aizawa's announcement.

Miri's PoV

Yu and I have decided not to keep any secrets, and tell each other everything as it happens. So while we're talking, something important crosses my mind.
"Yu! You need a hero costume, right?" I remind her. I can't believe we forgot something so critical!

"Oh my gosh, how did I not think of that?" She wonders out loud.

She starts to design her hero costume, and I help her.

"Let's see...something owl related." She ponders.

"Do you want to add any extra modifications that help your quirk?" I ask her.

She shakes her head and continues to think. I suggest that her shirt should have long and skinny vertical rectangles on the back for where her wings sprout. She adds that to the sketch I just now notice.

About two days later

"Finished!" Yu says waving her paper in the air.

"It's beautiful!" I compliment.

She sends it to UA, and then we collapse on our beds, exhausted and bored, unsure if what to do next. My mind decides to take a trip to the park. I think about my training. I'm actually kind of sad that it's over. I hope Katsuki still wants to go one on one with me for fun, at least.

Yu looks over at me, "You're thinking about Bakugo, aren't you?"

"Pffft, you wish," I mutter, hiding my face.

Yu stares at me harder.

I sigh, "I just want to battle him again."

"So why not ask him to?" She urges me on. Making wild hand gestures like 'go on!!'

"Oh...okay fine." I pull out my phone.

Bakugo's PoV

That girl Miri...I don't know how to explain her. She's strange, because she fights and yells back if I ever try to boss or hurt her. She's also kind of strong. What was I thinking when I said I'd train her. Now she's decent with explosions, and she still has 2 more quirks to help herself out! She's luckier than she thinks.
Why am I thinking about her in my own free time

She's just odd, in neither a good or bad way. I want to know her more.

Beep!
My phone's notification sound goes off.

A text message...?
(Miri has him entered as Katsuki, and he has her entered as Miri)

Miri's PoV

"Well...let's get going." I say.
We're already really close to the park. In fact, so close I can see Katsuki standing there, and then he looks back at me. Directly in my eyes. Maybe I shouldn't fight him today..

Yu plops down on a bench. She shooes me off. "Go do your explosion things now."

However, he starts walking towards me and Yu. "Do...you want to, um. I dunno...get ice cream after this?" He shuffles his feet.

I look at Yu, and she nods almost as fast as Uraraka.

"Ok." I shrug my shoulders. No way am I going to show him how excited I get for sweets.

"The owl can come too." He adds.

Yu rolls her eyes. "The owl has a name. Kaguya."

He gives her a glance then walks off. I follow him. "Good luck!" Yu says, clapping her hands.

"New rule." Katsuki starts. "You can use all of your quirks."

All of my quirks?

"Start!" Yu yells.

I try to build an ice wall but Katsuki blasts through.

"I guess that if the ice is smaller, it's compacted more and therefore harder. That's why Katsuki and everyone else can't easily break through when I freeze their feet. But when I make something tall and long, it's thinner, and easier to break through. That's why!" I mutter to myself. "Or I could just put more effort and make the ice wall thicker... but it would take too long, and I can't waste time in a 1v1 battle.."

"Stop muttering like Deku! And come fight me!" Katsuki yells.

I snap out of my murmuring state to see Katsuki charging at me.

"Ah..." I'm doomed.

But now I remember I can use all my quirks. I jump really high using my Frog quirk, but Katsuki blasts up the same height as me. I attempt maneuvering around with explosions, but he just follows me everywhere.
I need to distract him.

But I suddenly remember the last time I tried distracting people in a fight. Memories of the villains at the USJ flood through my mind. With my guard down, Katsuki blasts me and I get blown back to the ground.

Luckily, I land on my feet. I freeze the ground everywhere. When he lands, he almost slips but regains his balance. I try running to him, but I slip on my own ice and... fall.
Looks like I made myself lose

He gave me a could-you-really-be-any-more-stupid look. "I win," he states.

"No, I clearly won," I say, my voice filled with sarcasm.

Yu rushes to me and helps me up. She laughs, "Miri, you klutz."
