I saw her cry,
I saw her shatter,
Day by day
She broke, piece by piece.

She covered her arms,
She wiped her tears,
Did she really think
I wouldn't see her fears?

I saw her change,
I felt her give up,
I knew her monsters were winning,
And that my daughter was losing.

Why wouldn't she tell me?
Had I not proved to be trustworthy?
Why couldn't she see, the world may be against her,
But never me.

I saw her in her room, one day,
Staring blankly at the walls ahead,
Her eyes shone of anger, pain, betray,
Most of all, they shone of emptiness.

I sat beside her, said nothing at all,
Just pulled her, gave her a hug,
"It'll be fine, baby. You have me", I whispered
"I love you, mom.", at my shoulder, she tugged.

She broke free of her demons,
She broke free of her sadness,
I saw her transform,
Oh, believe me, I did.

She started humming songs,
She ate a little more,
Smiled a little brighter,
Cried a lot lesser.

A hug, a shoulder and a few words of love,
That was all she needed to overcome,
She just didn't realise, she had me all along,
She would always have me, for,
She is my daughter, and I,
Her mother.

Thank you so much for reading. I tried to write it differently, and, I'm kind of really nervous, hahah. Well, I hope you liked it. <3
