I'm tired of people expecting the best from me 24/7

Always having to put on a smile

Pretending to be happy when I'm not

When deep down I'm struggling drowning in misery

I wish someone would see beyond my  facade of happiness

I'm tired of wearing this mask constantly painting on a smile

Pretending everything is okay when it's not

I wish someone would come along and peel back the layers

To actually see the pain and sadness that I keep at bay

I'm tired of always smiling

I'm tried of always pretending

That everything is fine

That my heart isn't breaking

I wish someone would understand

I wish someone would see through the guise

That I'm human

That I'm not freaking perfect

I have feelings too

I can be sad

I can be broken

Just like you

I wish someone would wipe away  my  fake grin

Unstead of allowing me to paint on yet another ingenuine smile

I'm tired of pretending

Tired of it all quite frankly

I just want someone to catch me before I fall

Is that to much to ask?
