She's Amazing

It came as a great shock to you all when All Might entered the classroom, "Walking in like a normal person."

Excited chatter broke out across the room about the number one hero being so close. You were excited as well, of course. It was almost impossible to hate All Might, the extremely likable Symbol of Peace.

Aizawa sighed. "The designs you all submitted were given to the support course... so change into your costumes and meet outside."

Everyone rushed to collect their clothes. Once in the locker room, you examined your costume. You weren't sure what modifications would help you with your quirk, so the only unordinary things were the notepads, pens, pencils and markers attached to the belt you wore and the words scribbled on the soles of your shoes. The rest of your "costume" consisted of sturdy jeans shorts and a short red shirt that exposed your arms so that you could write on them if needed.

You felt out of place seeing the other girls' costume designs. They're all so unique and cool-looking.

"(Y/N)! That's your name, right?" You turned to the sound of the voice. A very pink girl.

You smiled. "That's me."

"You know, your costume makes me wonder even more what your quirk is!" She waited expectantly for your answer.

The bubbly girl chimed in. "Yeah! Paper and writing utensils? It's gotta have something to do with writing!"

Finally, some people with something normal to say.

"Team F! (L/n) and Sato!" All Might boomed.

You had no idea who Sato was, but luck was on your side that day because he found you later. Those that weren't completing the trial were watching the battles unfold in another room. Before the first match, your teammate introduced himself to you.

"Rikido Sato. My quirk is Sugar Rush, and when I consume ten grams of sugar, my strength increases five times!"

You deemed him normal in a positive sort of way. You liked the way that he introduced himself and his quirk. Does that mean he can eat as much sugar as he wants? Sweet.

You and the class watched as the first match-up unfolded. It was Midoriya and the bubbly girl (Uraraka, you discovered) against Bakugo and the uptight Iida. You saw as Bakugo stormed off on his own and was soon attacking, no, attempting to end Midoriya. How foolish.

Team after team went, and you were astonished by their amazing quirks and abilities. That Todoroki fellow sure is something else.

Soon enough, you and Sato (villain team) were up against Aoyama and Ashido. Your team was hidden on the third floor in a far corner. Sato made no moves as soon as it started. Rather, he looked at you as of awaiting instruction. Does he think that I know what I'm doing?

You cleared your throat. "Uh, I think it would be better if you go down there and hold one of them off. If only one comes up here, I can defend the weapon." You did your best to sound sure and smart. Luckily, he bought it.

"Got it!" He gave you a thumbs up before disappearing into the rest of the building. One.

You examined the weapon. It was big. Can I defend this alone? I guess I could... You ripped a piece of paper from your tiny notepad and scribbled stone wall on it. "I hope that prick Iida sees this and stops annoying me about my quirk," you said under your breath.

You backed up and threw the the paper at the weapon. In an instant, the paper was gone and now replaced with, you guessed it, a stone wall surrounding the large weapon. Already your wall was crumbling.

To top it off, you took your finger and dragged it around the air. You inscribed Strength and directed it at the wall. With a puff and a sparkle, your stone wall was strengthened. The enchantment would last a minute at the maximum because the wall was so big, and your skill was so small.

After quite some time, an even more sparkly thing interrupted your peace. Aoyama's navel laser. The way he frequently boasted made it impossible for you (and anyone else) to not immediately recognize it as his.

He exaggeratedly pointed at the weapon. "My apologies, but that weapon is mine now!"

"Yeah, as soon as you get it." You readied yourself for another one of his attacks. The Strength had worn out long ago, so now all you had a weak and crumbling stone wall.

To no surprise, his shot his laser directly into the stone and narrowly missed hitting the weapon. He ran towards it, but you jumped in his way. Half of your wall collapsed and disappeared into nothingness. This is no good... think (y/n), think! You bent your leg, bringing your knee to your chest, and you swiftly tapped one of the words on your shoe. A piece of the floor stuck up right where Aoyama was about to step, and he tripped. Without wasting another second, you wrote Sloth, a golden glow trailing behind the path your fingers took in the air.

Aoyama stood and charged again, but in a much slower speed. Confusion slowly swept across his face. Naturally, he sent another laser your way, and you walked out of the way. However, his blast sent your stone wall crumbling. Its pieces scattered then vanished.

He scrambled for his earpiece. "A-ashido, third floor in the far right corner!" Again, his beam was shot directly at you, but you didn't see it coming and took the hit at your shoulder.

You winced. It was sure to leave a bruise. Aoyama recoiled with a muffled scream. He assumed that you would skillfully dodge his attack – he overestimated you. In a hurry, you tapped another part of the sole of your shoe. A large and thick blanket fell on your opponent, enveloping him. Its weight caused him to stumble and fall.

What do I do now? I've never used my quirk this much, so I probably will not be able to make any physical thing now. "Where's Sato?" You asked yourself. You nervously glanced at the struggling and entangled Aoyama and then the entrance to the room. You pressed the device in your ear. "How is it going on your end?"

You got an immediate response. "Really well! I captured Ashido. And you?"

"The capture tape! I'm an idiot!" Your eyes widened.

You dashed to where Aoyama was fighting the weighted blanket only to find him an inch from the weapon. Panicked, you began to write Sloth again, but the loud buzzing signaling the end of the match beat you to it.

Aoyama smiled at you. "Désolé, (l/n). You should not have averted yourself from me."

Heat coursed through your face. You could have won the match had you not forgotten about the capturing part of the exercise. Even more, you felt bad for Sato who had actually done well. He'll hate me for sure after this.

"Seriously, I'm sorry, I should have remembered!" You said for the umpteenth time, hanging your head in shame.

Sato waves his hand around in protest. "It's completely okay! You did well, anyways!"

You felt like the entire class' eyes were burning into you. Now everyone thinks I'm an idiot! And that concluded the battle trial.

The final bell rang and everyone filed out of class. While changing your shoes, you saw Aoyama and approached him. "You did really well today," you said. "Congratulations on your victory."

He smiled and sparkled. "Merci, (l/n). Your performance was beautiful." He continued to twinkle.

You squinted at him. "How are you able to sparkle like that?"

"Why, because I am fabuleuse." He posed. His shimmering aura was almost too much for you to handle.

You smiled back and waved while walking off. "Have a nice afternoon, then, Fabulous!"

Aoyama, left behind by you, felt his heart flutter. To himself, he announced, "That girl has a beautiful shimmering feeling about her." Two.

He wasn't the only one feeling this way, however. Sato, already walking home, was replaying in his mind every word of the few conversations he shared with you. "God, she's so amazing!"

I just finished writing chapter 13 and oh boy
that was fun
