On route to Y/n and Ash's next Gym battle at the Cyllage Gym, the group get side-tracked by an ongoing police chase. Officer Jenny speeds after the wanted criminal in her motorcade, but Pokemon poacher Dolan has no intetion of stopping. But too bad Y/n didn't give him the choice to flee.

Y/n stomped his foot hard, causing a aura pillar of aura erupted bellow the car and knocks it into the air.  Y/n then trapped Dolan with aura chains before the latter could send out a Pokemon and trapping him. Y/n then used more chains to lower the car and it's load gently to the ground.

Officer Jenny thanked Y/n as she caught up, she then unloaded the cars cargo which were many caged  Scatterbug  . Y/n remembered that Vivillon has many wing patterns and Dolan planned to use that to earn some money.

After the smuggler was taken away, our heroes released the Scatterbug that was captured. The scatterdust Pokemon all began to evolve into Spewpa. 

One hour later the Spewpa all began to evolve into Vivillon with many different wing patterns.  Y/n and his friends promise to meet them again as the Vivillon fly off into the sunset, free at last.

But as our heroes were about to leave,but Y/n sensed a familiar aura to him. He then was approached by another teacher of the guardian school and a friendly rival to his own teacher. 

"Miss Rosalina, it's nice to see you again." Y/n greeted the older guardian.

Rosalina is a very tall woman with cyan colored eyes, with only her left eye visible from a directly frontal view as her particularly large bang of her hair hides her right eye. She has peach-colored defined lips, and long platinum-blonde hair that reaches to her waist.

"It's nice to see you again too Y/n, but please just call me Rosalina,  miss makes me sound old. Rosalina said with a smile. 

"So what brings you here in Kalos?" Y/n asked, wondering why she was here.

"I was requested by your parents to make a trail sight for your the trail for you." She explained. " Please follow me to the trail sight." She said.

She lead to a what looks a abandoned supermarket store, Rosalina had explained it was build and made to look abandoned a few days ago.

"You built this in just a few days?" Clemont asked in amazement.

"That's so amazing."  Bonnie said with stars in her eyes.

"Now Y/n, you should know what to do right?" Rosalina asked. 

Y/n nodded before heading in, Rosalina  had sent a Rotom camera  following Y/n so they won't have to join him to see what's happening.

After entering, Y/n noticed a few curious phenomena , after investigating one he was attacked by a Gastly. 

"Gastly, the Gas Pokemon. By enveloping larger opponents with gas, Gastly is able to defeat them."  Serena's Pokedex beeped as she scanned the gas Pokemon.

Y/n sent out his Cofagrigus and knocked out the gas Pokemon with a shadow ball, he then noticed what seems to be a Pikachu running in a direction.  Following it, Y/n encountered another curious phenomena being some floating shopping charts. Investigating them caused him to be attacked by a Haunter.

"Haunter, the Gas Pokemon and the evolved form of Gastly. Haunter can watch opponents by hiding in walls and slips through anything in its way." Serena's Pokemon beeped.

After taking down the gas Pokemon with a shadow ball, Y/n noticed the Pikachu running in another direction, following it he show some floating Pokemon dolls, investigating it caused a Gengar to attack. 

"Gengar, the Shadow Pokemon. A Ghost and Poison type. Gengar can pass through dimensions and appear almost anywhere. Since Gengar absorbs any warmth around it, the temperature suddenly drops wherever it appears." Y/n's Pokedex beeped. 

Y/n knew this won't be as easy as an old friend from Galar has proven that time and time  again that a Gengar can be a dangerous opponent.

"Shadow ball!"

Cofagrigus fired a ball of black and purple energy with black static around it. She then throws the ball at the shadow Pokemon but it dodged with phantom force.  Cofagrigus was struck from behind, Gengar groaned as it's ability was changed from cursed body to mummy. 

Y/n then switched out Cofagrigus with Golurk, which used earth power to knock out the shadow Pokemon.

After following the Pikachu once more, Y/n reached a door to a back room.

After entering the room, Y/n could see the small room's wall is filled with pictures of Pikachu,  He saw pictures of cosplay Pikachu and even what seems to be Ash's Pikachu riding on his trainers shoulder.

Y/n then turned around when he heard something, noticing the totem Mimikyu  jumping to get his attention.

"Who's that Pokemon?" Ash asked.

"Mimikyu, the Disguise Pokemon. A Ghost and Fairy type. It wears a ragged head cover to look like a Pikachu, but little is known about this Pokemon. It's said that a scholar who once tried to look inside met his end." Y/n's Pokedex beeped.

"M- met his end?" Serena asked with a stutter, she and the others were understandably shocked at what they heard. Only Coco and Bea was unaffected by the info has they already knew.

"Mimikyus are very lonely Pokemon." Rosalina explained. " That's why it made that veil look like Pikachu, since Pikachu's are very popular, many just want to be loved." 

"That's so sad...." Bonnie said. 

The totem flared it's aura as it got ready to battle.

Golurk was once again sent out. "I need to break that disguise." Y/n thought before calling out." Phantom force!"

Golurk vanished before striking the disguise Pokemon from behind, it's shroud then flops over.

"That was it's Mimikyu's disguise ability." Roselina explained. "It takes one hit before breaking, Mimikyu will fix it after the battle at all cost." 

The totem the called it's ally Pokemon , a Banette.

"Banette the Marionette Pokemon. Banette generates energy for laying strong curses by sticking pins into its own body. This Pokemon was originally a pitiful plush doll that was thrown away." Serena's Pokedex beeped. 

"Shadow punch!"

Golurk covered his fist in shadows before punching Banette with it, being super effective combined with Golurk's iron fist ability caused Banette to be knocked out in one hit.

Mimikyu knocked Golurk back with a shadow claw, only for Golurk to knock it back with ice punch.

"Earthquake!"

Golurk stomped the ground hard, causing the supermarket to shake and caused Mimikyu to misfire the shadow ball it was charging up. 

"Now shadow ball!"

Golurk charged up a large shadow ball before firing it at the totem, it was too slow and the attack struck it's mark. 

When the dust died down, it revealed Mimikyu was down and out.

Y/n sighed in relive as it was over, the totem then woke up to give Y/n the ghost type Z crystal, the  Ghostium Z.

But before the totem could leave, Coco quickly entered the market and approached the totem before it could leave

"Hey Mimikyu, would you like to be my Pokemon?" She asked the Disguise Pokemon.

"Kyu?" Mimikyu asked slight confusion and hope.

"Ever since i heard of your kind i always wanted one." Coco explained. " I know you'll be a great member on my team, so how about it?"   She asked holding out a Luxury ball. 

Mimikyu's eyes teared up a bit, it wasted no time on touching the button on the Luxury ball and allowing herself to be absorbed in.

1...2..3 and with that Mimikyu was caught.

"Welcome to the team Mimikyu, we'll be great friends, i know it." Coco said, the Luxury ball shook as if Mimikyu was agreeing from inside.

After meeting the others outside, Y/n was congratulated by the others. Roselina told them that her three apprentices will make care of the trail sight, so she told them to go ahead.

As Y/n was walking down the path, he could't help but wonder what the future will hold as the journey continues.
