"ISS SAB KE BAAD VICKY ISS GHAR MAIN NAHI REH SAKTA"

As soon as Dev said that everyone was left stunned, for a moment they were not sure whether they had heard it right or not.

"Main Vicky ka saaya iss ghar par ya phir meri behno par padney nahi de sakta" added Dev as everyone came out of their thoughts, but they did not know what to say. The way and the tone in which Dev had announced his decision had left no doubt in anyone's mind that he had already made his decision and there was no two ways about it.

Vicky was the first to react, he went towards Dev and folding his hands he said "Dev Bhai, mujhey maaf kar dijiye. Main...Main vaada karta hoon main phir se aisa kuch nahi karunga...Mujhey maaf kar dijiye Dev bhai" as he fell on Dev's feet with fake tears flowing from his eyes in the hope that Dev would change his decision, but Dev was standing stoic and expressionless, clearly indicating that Vicky's words were having no effect on him.

"Jiji, Dekhiye Dev kya keh raha hai. Bhala koi apney bhai ke saath aisa bartav karta hai kya. Mana ki Vicky se galti hui hai lekin...." she spoke in high pitch but before she could continue Dev interrupted her.

"Mamiji, Pehli baat ye ki Vicky ne jo kiya hai wo galti nahi gunah hai jiskey liye usey saza milni chahiye. Aur doosri baat ye ki bachey jab galti kartey hai toh bado ko unki galti sudharni chahiye na ki unhey nazar andaaz karkey unka saath Dena chahiye" he spoke in a rough tone as Radharani was left tongue-tied, she had to think quickly else her son would be thrown out of the house.

"Jiji, Dev se kuch kahiye na aap. Wo Vicky ko aisey ghar se kaisey nikal sakta hai, mera beta kahan jayega. Jiji aap logon ke burey waqt main humney aapka saath diya tha aur aaj Dev Vicky ko iss ghar se nikal raha hai Jiji. Aap Dev se kuch kahiye naa jiji" she said trying to emotionally manipulate Ishwari while Dev clenched his fists in anger. Radharani's rant seemed to have the desired effect on Ishwari as she spoke.

"Dev beta, meri baat sunn..." she said but before she could continue Mamaji interrupted "Nahi Ishwari, tu kuch nahi bolegi. Dev jo karr raha hai bilkul sahi kar raha hai, iss besharam ko iski saza milni hi chahiye aur Dev ke iss faisley mein main uskey saath hoon" he said as Radharani and Vicky were dumbfounded, they were quickly losing support.

"Par bhaiya..." said Ishwari but this time Dev spoke " Maa, main jaanta hoon ki shayad iss waqt tujhey aur Mamiji ko mera ye faisla galat aur Kathor lag raha hai lekin mera vishwas kar Maa main jo bhi kar raha hoon wo Vicky ke bhalai ke liye kar raha hoon" he said as Ishwari stayed quiet, in her heart she did know that what Dev was doing was probably right and if was an outsider in question she would have had no hesitation in accepting Dev's decision but then Vicky was no outsider.

Dev continued "Yaad hai Maa pichli baar bhi jab police ne issey giraftar kiya tha sharab peekar gadi chalaney le liye uss baar bhi tuney aur Mamiji ne iski galti ko nazar andaaz kar diya tha lekin aaj aisa mat kar Maa warna kahi ye phir se aisi koi harkat na kar de jiski wajah se hum sabko sharminda hona padhey" he said trying to make her understand that this decision was in the best interests of everyone.

Turning towards Mamiji he spoke "Mamiji main Vicky ko sirf iss ghar se door bhej raha hoon. Main ne iskey college ke Trustee se already baat kar li hai aur wo iskey rehney ka intezaam college ke hostel main karva denge. Monday se ye wahin rahega aur iskey wahan rehne ka jo bhi kharcha hoga wo main doonga" said Dev as it dawned to everyone that he had already planned the way ahead.

"Mera Vicky wahan hostel main akele kaisey rehega, wo...." spoke Radharani but was harshly interrupted by Mamaji "Bas...Bas Radharani ek aur shabd nahi. Dev ne bilkul sahi faisla liya hai, arey tujhey toh khush hona chahiye ki Dev tere iss naalayak aur besharam bete ko sudharana chahta hai" he said as Mamiji replied "Par..." "Bas, mainey kaha na ek aur shabd nahi" he said as Radharani turned silent.

"Bhabhi, main Dev ke faisley se sehmat hoon" said Ishwari happy that Dev had thought it through and not leaving his brother in the lurch as Dev and Mamaji sighed in relief while Mamiji and Vicky were left shocked, their final hope of using Ishwari to convince Dev had gone down the drain as well.

Turning towards Vicky Dev spoke "Vicky ye matt samajhna ki tu hostel main akele rehega toh apni manmani kar payega. Meri nazar har waqt hogi tere pe, phir se aisi koi harkat matt karna jiss sey hum main se kisi ko bhi sharminda hona padhey" said Dev as Vicky just hung is head down which Radharani was fuming in anger but was left all alone as no one ready to listen to her. Calling it a night everyone retired to their rooms instructing Kichu to get the dinner to their respective rooms.

Dev was lying on his bed with his head on the head rest thinking about the happenings of the evening when he picked up his phone which had several missed calls from Sonakshi, but he did not call back, just as he was about to put his phone back it buzzed again, it was SONAKSHI calling.

Hesitatingly he picked up the call "Hello Dev" said Sonakshi as soon as he picked the call "Hmm" Dev replied as Sonakshi spoke again "Kya hua Dev kuch toh bolo, please" she said but Dev was quiet as Sonakshi continued "Tumney shaam ko bhi Theek se baat nahi ki, please Dev kuch toh bolo. Wahan kya hua?" she asked again.

"Sonakshi, main bohot thak gaya hoon. Kya hum kal baat kar saktey hai please" he said trying to stay calm, he did not want to speak anything which he shouldn't at that moment else he feared it would hurt her. But Sonakshi on the other hand clearly understood, he did not want to speak to her at that moment, but she was not going to give up so easily.

"Dev, Kal Sunday hai aur tumney vaada kiya tha ki hum har Sunday ko milenge" she said in the hope that he would agree and she could meet him but Dev was quiet again as she repeated "Dev, please you had promised" she said and that did the trick as Dev replied "Theek hai, kal shaam 4 baje wahin jahan hum humesha miltey hai" he said as Sonakshi smiled, happy that he had agreed "Ok, Now please take rest and do not stress yourself , Good night" she said and cut the call while Dev smiled, once again she had gauged his mood without the need for him to tell it to her, just then the door of his room opened and Mamaji entered.

"Dev beta, main andar aa sakta hoon?" he said as Dev replied "Arey Mamaji aaiye na aapko poochney ki zaroorat nahi" he said as Mamaji came in and sat on the bed in front of him.

"Dev, Vicky ne jo bhi kiya main uskey liye tujhsey maafi maangta hoon beta" he said with folded hands as tears made way from his eyes but the very next moment Dev held his hands and spoke "Ye aap kya kar rahey hai Mamaji, please aisa matt kijiye. Aap mujhey sharminda kar rahey hai. In fact main aapsey maafi maangta hoon ki mujhey Vicky ko iss ghar se door bhejney ka faisla lena padha" said Dev.

"Nahi Dev, tuney jo bhi faisla liya hai bilkul sahi hai" he reassured as Dev sighed in relief as he spoke "Mamaji mujhey aapsey kuch aur baat karni thi" he said as Mamaji asked him to ahead while Dev spoke about what was going through his mind hoping that Mamaji would agree to it.

"Dev, please kuch toh bolo. Hum yahan pichley 10 minute se baithey huey hai aur tum ne ab tak mujhsey baat nahi ki. Please kuch toh bolo Dev" said Sonakshi, it was Sunday evening and they were at the café as Dev had promised the previous night. At Ishwari Niwas the day had passed with Mamiji trying hard to get Dev to change his decision, but he would have none of it, even Ishwari did not entertain Mamiji much this time for she knew it would not only anger Dev more but also this time Vicky was very wrong and he deserved his punishment for it. The sisters could sense the tension at the house and did not ask anyone anything, but they did come to know about Dev's decision about Vicky and had informed it to Sonakshi when she had called Riya to know about the happenings of the previous night.

"Dev, mujhey pata hai ki Vicky ko lekar tumney jo faisla liya hai uski wajah se tum bohot guilty feel kar rahey ho par believe me Dev tumney bilkul galat faisla nahi liya hai. Main tumharey iss faisley main tumharey saath hoon aur Riya bata rahi thi ki baaki sab bhi tumharey iss faisley main tumharey saath hai. So stop feeling guilty Dev" she said, she knew that the decision he had taken was weighing upon him and he was feeling guilty about it for it was affecting the very family which had helped them during their bad times, but did he have an option? Probably no. And given how Dev was Sonakshi knew he would be hurting himself from within and never let it come out before anyone.

"And what about the guilt that I am feeling right now because you could not trust me Sonakshi" he said stunning Sonakshi into silence, for a moment she was gob-smacked listening to him.

"Dev what...what are you saying? Why...Why are you saying that I do not trust you? I trust you with my life Dev" she said in a pleading tone, she was confused as to what made Dev feel that she did not trust him.

"Is it Sonakshi? Do you really trust me? If that's the case then why did you not tell me about what Vicky had done earlier Sonakshi, what took you so long to tell it to me?" he asked as it dawned to Sonakshi why he was upset, it was exactly the same thing that was happening as Asha had expected and had spoken to her about.

He continued "If you could not trust me as your partner at least you could have trusted me as your employer Sonakshi, as your boss it was my duty to make sure you were comfortable working at Ishwari Niwas, but you did not trust me Sonakshi. Not as your life partner nor as your employer. I could not protect you Sonakshi, I could not..." he said as tears made way from his eyes while her heart cried as well seeing his tears, when she had hidden these from Dev it was because she did not want any clashes within the family especially knowing how Mamiji and Vicky were but was it worth it, probably not because now her that act was affecting her relationship with Dev.

Sonakshi pulled up her chair near to Dev's and sat beside him taking his hand into her's while he just kept staring into nothingness as Sonakshi spoke "Dev believe me, I never wanted or intended to hide anything from you. I just did that because I did not want any problems within your family. I just wanted that you should not be affected because of this Dev" she said as Dev smiled wryly, he did have an idea why Sonakshi had hidden it from him, but he wanted to hear it from her.

"And what about you Sonakshi? What about the problems you had faced? When I said I loved you it was not just to spend happy moments with you and be with you only during happiness. It was to share our lives with each other, our happiness, our sadness, our problems I wanted to share everything with you Sonakshi and expected the same from you as well, But did you do that? Do we have the trust and transparency in our relationship?" he said morosely, disappointment was clear in his voice as Sonakshi was left speechless, she never could expect that her one act could affect him so much. She mentally scolded herself for hurting him.

"I am sorry Dev, I am really Sorry. My intentions were never wrong, but I never knew it would hurt you so much Dev, I am sorry" she said laying her head on his left shoulder as tears made way from her eyes which Dev did not miss, he turned towards her he brought up his right hand and wiped her tears away.

"Promise me Sonakshi never again will you hide anything for me, Good or Bad never hide anything from me Sonakshi and even I promise I will not anything from you" he said putting his hand forward as Sonakshi kept her hand on it and said "I promise Dev, I promise" as she leant on to him while he kissed her forehead, both were happy that they could resolve their problem and strengthen their relationship.

After a few moments Dev spoke again "Sonakshi, I have taken another decision" he said as Sonakshi asked him what it was, as he conveyed it Sonakshi her eyes widened in shock, she was unsure about his decision and knew even he was unsure about it but right now probably it was best decision for them and their families especially the Dixit family and it was TIME TO SET THINGS RIGHT. After spending some more time with each other they left as Dev dropped Sonakshi to her home before going to his.

As Dev entered Ishwari Niwas he could see the elders sitting in the living room. He could see Mamiji still trying to convince his mother while Mamaji trying to make her understand that it was best for Vicky. As he moved towards them Ishwari was the first to notice him.

"Arey Dev tu aa gaya beta" she said as Dev smiled and moved towards them, standing before Mamiji he kept his hand in his pocket and took out a bunch of keys from it. He handed it over to Mamiji who was clearly surprised.

"Yeh kya hai Dev beta" she asked in confusion as Dev replied.

"YE AAP KE NAYE GHAR KI CHAABI HAI MAMIJI"
