"YE AAP KE NAYE GHAR KI CHAABI HAI MAMIJI"

As soon as Dev said that the color drained from Radharani's face, for a moment she thought Dev was joking but the seriousness on his face clearly indicated to her that he was not. She did not know how to react while on the other hand Ishwari seemed equally shocked, she did not know why but a strange feeling of uneasiness was gripping her heart, was Dev doing all this because of Sonakshi? Was it on Sonakshi's insistence or influence that Dev was taking these decisions?

"Dev Beta...Achha...Achha Mazak kar lete ho tum. Bhala apna ghar chodkey koi jaata hai kya?" said Radharani trying to hold on, it was as if she was trying to convince herself more as Ishwari came out of her thoughts listening to her sister-in-law.

Dev was about to reply but before that Mamaji interrupted "Radharani, kitni baar kaha hai tujhey ki paraye ghar par zayada haq nahi jatana chahiye" he said as Radharani cowered at his tone more than his words.

"Bhaiya, ye aap kya keh rah hain? Ye ghar jitna humara hai utna hi aapka hai" said Ishwari to her brother as he replied "Nahi Ishwari, Ye ghar Dev ka hai, tera hai. Iss ghar ko Dev ne apney mehnat se aur tuney apney pyar se seecha hai aur main nahi chahta ki kisi key galat iradon or lalach ki wajah se iss ghar par koi bhi musibat aaye" said Mamaji, glaring at his wife as he said the last part who was still trying to come to terms with the happenings of the last few minutes.

"Bhaiya, ye aap kya keh rahey hai. Main aap logon ko kahin jaaney nahi doongi" said Ishwari, turning towards Dev she said "Dev ye sab kya ho raha hai yahan? Tuney aisa faisla lene se pehle ek baar bhi mujhsey baat karna zaroori nahi samjha? Bhaiya aur Bhabhi kahin nahi jayenge" she added as Dev sighed in disappointment, he had expected this when he had taken the decision while Radharani was elated, she knew only Ishwari could change Dev's decision and now that it was happening she danced internally.

Once again before Dev could respond it was Mamaji who interrupted "Ishwari, ye faisla Dev ne nahi mainey liya hai" he said shocking both Ishwari and Mamiji as Mamaji continued "Aur tujhey meri kasam Ishwari, tu mere faisley ka virodh nahi karegi" he said as Ishwari replied "Par Bhaiya..." but before she could continue Mamaji interrupted "Nahi Ishwari, iss baarey main tu aur mujhsey kuch nahi kahegi. Aur ye mera aakhri faisla hai" he said with a finality in his voice, all this while Radharani was absolutely quiet, she still could not fathom that her merry days in Ishwari Niwas were coming to an end, she was going to miss the riches of this house. Ishwari on the other hand had no other option but to accept her brother's decision, the tone and clarity in his voice had clearly shown her that he had already finalized his decision and was just conveying it to her.

Mamaji went towards Dev and took the keys from him "Thank you Dev beta, tera ek aur karz mujh par hai" he said but the very next moment Dev stopped him from speaking further "Nahi Mamaji, please Aisa mat kahiye. Aapkey liye main jitna bhi karoon wo kam hoga" he said and touched his feet while Mamaji stopped him and hugged him.

"Maa, Tu chinta mat kar. Mamaji ka ghar Vicky ke college ke paas hi hai aur agle do din main wahan sab ready ho jayega uskey baad Mamaji wahan shift ho saktey hai. Wahan rehkey wo Vicky se mil saktey hai aur ye bhi dekh saktey hai ki wo koi galti na karey" said Dev to Ishwari who slowly nodded her head, though she did not like the fact that her brother and his family would go away but she was relieved that they would be near to Vicky's hostel.

"Ishwari, Chal raat bohot ho chuki hai. Yu jaakey aaram kar" said Mamaji as Ishwari nodded and side hugged him and Radharani after which she left for her room while Mamaji went to his room as well asking Radharani to come along with him who snapped out of her thoughts, after informing him that she will join him in some time she went to the kitchen to have some water.

As she was going towards her room after quenching her thirst Dev called her out "Mamiji" he said as Radharani stopped and turned to look at him, anger was clearly etched on her face because of what Dev had done, moving towards her he said "Main umeed karta hoon ki pehli baar ki tarah iss baar aap ye ghar nahi jalayengi" he said as the earth slipped from underneath Radharani's feet, he knew about her act of burning down her own house. The expression on her face and sweat dripping from her forehead clearly showed Dev that his message had the desired affect on her, he smirked and left as Radharani's feet turned stone, what if Dev informed everyone about her act or had he already??

On the other hand, after freshening up Dev was sitting on his bed with his head on the head rest and his eyes closed as a serene smile played on his lips, he was happy that things had turned out the way he had expected, his thoughts went back to the previous day and his conversation with Neha.

"TU SONAKSHI SE MILNEY GAYI THI?" asked Dev as Neha looked at him with a hint of smile, she knew that Dev would ask her this ever since Riya had called her to inform that Dev had knowledge about their visit to the Bose house.

"Haan, Kyun? Nahi jaana chahiye tha kya?" she asked as Dev looked at her surprised while he replied "Nahi Neha mera ye matlab nahi tha. Haan main thoda surprised zaroor hua jab mujhey Sonakshi ne bataya ki Tum teeno uskey ghar gayi thi uss sey milney. Lekin phir jab Sonakshi ne tum logon ke wahan jaaney ki wajah batayi toh mujhey samajh main aaya tum wahan kyun gayi thi" he said as Neha nodded but kept silent. Both did not know how to take the conversation forward. It was probably the first time they were talking like siblings without any barriers or expectations or arguments.

"Aapko yahi lag raha hoga naa bhai ki mujhey kabsey aapki Khushi ki chinta honey lagi?" asked Neha after a few moments of silence as Dev looked at her and said "Nahi Neha, tu aisa kyun bol rahi hai?" he asked, surprise and sadness evident in his voice, before he could continue Neha interrupted.

"Nahi Bhai, aaj nahi. Aapki jo bhi naarazgi hai, jo bhi shikayatein hai Mujhsey aaj aap bol dijiye" she said, by now tears had started flowing from her eyes as Dev got up and sat beside her, he took her in a side hug to calm her down "Neha, ye kya bol rahi hai tu? Bhala main tujhsey naaraz kyun rehunga?" Bas chup jo Neha aur Rona band kar" he said trying to stop her from crying.

"Nahi Bhai, Mainey humesha aapko aur Maa ko aapney khoye huey bachpan ke liye dosh diya hai. Kabhi aapsey theek tarah se baat nahi ki. Jab bhi aapsey baat ki tab aapsey kuch na kuch maangney ke liye hi ki, yahan tak ki meri shaadi ke waqt bhi Mainey aisa hi kiya. I am sorry bhai, I am sorry.  Mujhey maaf kar dijiye" she said as by now her sobs grew louder as slight tears glistened Dev's eyes as well, he did not know why her sister was raking up the past today.

"Neha, bas kar. Tu meri behen hai aur tera haq banta hai ki tu jo chahey Mujhsey maangey, jab chahey naaraz ho. Aur main teri naarazgi samajhta hoon, Zindagi main Mainey aur Maa ne jitni musibatein dekhi tuney bhi wahin dekhi hai Neha aur mera vishwas kar mujhey kabhi teri koi bhi baat buri nahi lagi, chal ab rona band kar" he said as Neha's sobs died down slowly while Dev got up and brought a glass of water for her, she drank it as Dev settled besides her again.

"Ab theek hai tu?" asked Dev as Neha nodded her head in a yes, she felt lighter after talking to Dev, sharing her guilt while the case was no different with Dev.

"Ab purani baton ko chodd Neha. Main yahan tujhsey thank you kehney aaya tha" he said as Neha looked up in surprise while Dev continued "Thank you ki tum teeno mere aur Sonakshi ke saath ho" he said as Neha smiled.

"Bhai, aapko Thank you bolney ki koi zaroorat nahi hai. Aur aap sab Khushi deserve kartey hai" she said, and side hugged him which he reciprocated.

"Par bhai apney pyar ke liye, apney Khushi ke liye aapko khud ladna hoga. Hum sab aapkey saath hai lekin ye ladai aapko aur Sonakshi ko milkey ladni hogi" she said as Dev smiled lightly.

"Mujhey pata hai ki Maa aapkey aur Sonakshi ke rishtey se naakhush hai. Shayad usey lagta hai ki Sonakshi ke aaney se aap unsey door chaley jayenge lekin aapko unhey yakin dilana hoga ki aisa kuch nahi hoga bhai" she said as Dev nodded her head in agreement.

"Aur ek baat bhai aapko ghar ka mahol bhi theek karna hoga" said Neha as Dev looked perplexed and asked "Matlab, Tu kehna kya chahti hai?" he asked in a surprised tone.

"Ek baat bataiye bhai agar tokri ka ek aam kharab ho jata hai toh hum kya kartey hai" she asked as Dev's confusion increased while he replied "Obviously Usey tokri se alag kar dete hai taaki doosrey aam kharab na ho, lekin tere iss baat ka ghar ke mahol se kya sambandh hai?" he asked as Neha replied.

"Hai Bhai, Aapko humarey ghar se uss aam ko alag karna padega" said Neha as Dev replied "Tu kiskey barey main baat kar rahi hai Neha?"

"MAMIJI" she replied.

The ring of the phone brought Dev out of his thoughts, a bright smile etched his face as he looked at the caller id.

"Hey Love" he said picking up the call, the person calling him was none other than Sonakshi who had video called Dev to know whether everything was fine at Ishwari Niwas, he had already conveyed his decision to Sonakshi.

"Dev, Wahan sab Theek hai?" she asked in a concerned tone, though she knew what Dev was doing was right, yet she did have her apprehensions, especially about Mamiji and Ishwari.

"Haan, sab Theek hai Sonakshi" assured Dev knowing very well her concern "Auntyji ne kya kaha Dev, Wo tumharey faisley se sehmat hai?" she asked as Dev replied "Haan wo pehle nakhush thi lekin phir Mamaji ne sab sambhal liya. Maa unki baat ko nahi taal saki" he said as he heard a sigh of relief from Sonakshi on his phone.

"Dev, kya tumhey lagta hai ki tumhara ye faisla Theek hai, mera matlab kahin Auntyji ko ye naa lage ki tum ye sab meri wajah se kar rahey ho" she asked conveying her fear and apprehensions while Dev stayed quiet, he knew her fears were not unwarranted.

"Sona...main tumahrey darr ko samajh sakta hoon lekin pata hai Neha ne mujhsey ek baat kahi thi. Kai baar kuch sahi karney ke liye humey kuch aisey faisley lene padhtey hai jo shayad short term main sabko khatkey ya phir galat lagey lekin long term main sabkey liye wahi sahi faisla hota hai" said Dev as Sonakshi agreed with him.

"Ab ye sab baat chodo aur mujhey ek acchi si smile do" he said as Sonakshi smiled lightly "Sona..." said Dev as this she smiled brightly as Dev smiled as well "I love you Ms.Khargosh" he said looking into her eyes as she replied "I love you too Mr.Obhodro" as both smiled, after talking for some more time they bid a good night to each other and cut the call.

"Kya keh rahi Riya tu? Bhai ne aisa faisla liya?" asked Neha in a surprised tone, Riya had called her to inform about Dev's decision with respect to Mamaji and his family.

"Haan Neha Di, humey bhi abhi pata chala Maa se. In fact Bhaiya ke saath saath ye faisla Mamaji ka bhi hai" replied Riya as Neha asked "Maa maan gayi?" she had her apprehensions about her mother.

"Haan Di, pehle toh wo maani nahi lekin baad ne Mamaji ke kehney par wo maan gayi" she said, the joy and happiness in her voice clearly evident.

"Chalo accha hua, Mami Maa se doo rahengi toh ghar main aur maa ke mann main bhi shaanti hogi. Maa bhi mami ke kadvi baton se door rahengi" said Neha as Riya agreed to it.

"Par Di, Abhi bhi Maa ke mann main jo darr hai wo kaisey door hoga?" asked Riya as Neha replied "Waqt ke saath sab theek ho jayega Riya, aur ab cheezein jaisi honi chahiye thi waise ho rahi hai toh mujhey yakeen hai wo di bhi door nahi jab Maa Sonakshi ko poorey mann se apna lengi" she said in a hopeful voice.

"Haan Di hopefully wo din jaldi aa jaaye" said Riya as Neha agreed and after a few more talks the sisters bid a good night to each other.

As Neha cut the call, she let out a sigh of relief. Things were finally falling in place and now was the best time for her to do what she had been thinking of doing from the past few days. NOW WAS TIME FOR HER TO SPEAK TO HER MOTHER, IT WAS TIME FOR HER TO MEND HER RELATIONSHIP WITH HER MOTHER.
