Something was bothering her.

That wasn't new, something had been bothering her since they arrived the day before.

The Spirit Wolves were mostly welcoming, except for a few of them.

Shadewalker... and Blackout.

"Shadewalker isn't that bad," Ghost had said. "He raised me. He's just very depressed."

Blackout had tried to murder Shika, after the poor girl said she didn't want any deer to die.

Mizuki scanned the forest, she felt like they were being watched.

It gave her the creeps.

"Hey, are you okay?" Natsume asked. "You look very pale."

"Yes, but don't you feel like somebody's watching us?" She asked.

Ryū snorted. "We're surrounded by a pack of Spirit Wolves," he reminded her. "Of course we're being watched."

Mizuki shot him a glare. "No... it's something else." she mumbled.

Ryū rolled his eyes. "There's nothing here that can threaten us," he boasted. "Nothing! And nobody would dare send enemies at us! Because I can turn into a dragon and crush them!"

Ayame looked up from her scroll. "Ryū, be polite," she said. "I think that Mizuki is right."

"You've been paranoid since you woke up," Ryū said.

"I became paranoid after that one night!" Ayame snapped.

"Wait.." Natsume said, slowly. "What do you mean, after that one night?"

Ayame looked away. "I don't want to talk about it," she said. "Not here, and not now."

Ryū gave them the evil eye. "Don't expect any answers from me either." He said, walking away, while cussing up a storm.

Natsume raised her eyebrows at Mizuki, and Mizuki shrugged.

Mizuki swore that she could feel something watching her, twistedly.

Mizuki looked at the forest, once again.

Nothing, there wasn't anything.

There was no sign of danger, no possible threats.

Maybe Ryū was right.

Maybe Mizuki was just being paranoid.

But something told her that danger was coming... that it was already here.
