My brows furrowed as I looked at him expectantly.

" Be my girlfriend "

" Excuse me? " My voice came out as a shriek. Out of all the things I didn't expected him to say this.

" First listen to me, woman "He sounded annoyed.

OK, he is bipolar. One side he is asking me to be his girlfriend and other side he is annoyed at me. What kind of a proposal is it?

Proposal?  Naa.. He said it as a deal? What type of deal?

I was lost in my thoughts when his hands came in front of me snapping me out of my reverie.

"Tell me " I folded my arms across my chest and I saw his gaze followed my moment and darkened for a second.

Pervert

" Pretend to be my Girlfriend, For 6 month. And I will pay you in return. "

What kind of a deal it is?

I chuckled  dryly and about to deny his absurd offer when he spoke

" 10 lakhs and a car "

I looked at him shocked. He will give me 10 Lakhs and a car just to pretend his girlfriend. What if he is some psycho rapist.

Naah, Ragini look at him. Does he look like rapist from an angle?

But appearances can be deceptive, Right?

I was lost in my thoughts when he said again.

"50 Lakhs, a car and an apartment after completion of this deal "

My jaw dropped and I looked at him agape.

Is this man real ?

How much money he want to waste on this ridiculous idea of fake girlfriend?

" 1 Crore-"

" Noooo...!!! " my voice came out as a shriek as he raised the amount again.

Is this man have some mental issue?

" No ?" He looked at me confused. I think he was shocked by the look he was giving me.

Of Course, which girl in their right mind throw this much money, just to be pretend something for mere 6 months. Especially when the girl is in a need of money, like me ..!!! But-

" I mean...Tell me in detail. What kind of a deal it is ? " I pretended to be strong from outside but only I knew that I was shivering with curiosity from inside to feel his intimidated  gaze.

" Nothing much...!!! Just you have to convince my family, That you are the one for me, in those 5 months..!!!And- "

" But you said to pretend your girlfriend for the 6 month ? " I narrowed my eyes and he gave me a smirk.

" First listen to me, Women...!!! Gosh...!!! " he said annoyed raking his finger in his hair.

And OMG, did I find it Hot ?

God, Ragini...!!! Stop perverting over him..!!!

I nodded and he shut his eyes and continued. " And in the last month, You have to break that spell for being a good girlfriend. Show them your bitchy side and left me for good. Your money will be transferred to you that day only. You don't need to worry about that " he said without emotion and I looked at this man blankly.

Did this man telling me to betray his own family ?

Is he crazy ?

" And why are you doing this ? Planning to hurt your own family ? " I couldn't help but ask.

Why a person want to make a fool of his own family ?

" That's none of your business. " His voice came out harsh and I cringed.

" So, You have to come with me tomorrow to meet them, and- "

" Woah...!! Woah...!! Relax man..!!! Stop your horses..!!! Did I said that I am in in your this ridiculous deal? No, Right? " I raised my brow and I saw his jaw clenched and his palms turned into fist.

" Do you need more money ? " he asked directly and I felt cheep.

" No, I don't want to hurt someone, to earn the money. I will earn it with my hard work. " I said clearly.

What does he think of me ? What kind of women I am?

" You will work your whole life , still you will not be able to earn this much money, Ragini " he said with a arrogant smirk and how I want to, to smack his face and slap of this smirk out of his face.

" I will prefer, working my whole like, earning sufficient for living, then hurting someone's family " I said with pride.

Family, is something that I craved my whole life. And this man want to play game with his own family.

Someone said it true, people never value the things they have in life, They always took them for granted.

I took my bag from his table and turned to leave. There's no point staying here when I am not interested in his ridiculous deal.

"Think about it, one more time? " he said arrogantly, from behind me.

" Thanks for the offer Mr. Maheshwari, but No thanks " I left his office with high head. But I was wrong if I thought that it's over between us.

Present

I barged into his office without any warning. His secretary ran behind me with her pointed high-heels but seriously girl..!!

Did she really think her heels can beat my snickers?

I chuckled myself and patted my back so proud for not wearing those stupid heels ever.

"Ahaaan, Fancy seeing you here, Princess"

He smirked looking at me and I scowled big time. I am here for some answers not to entertain his cocky attitude.  He gestured his secretary to go out, when she came behind me panting.

I smirked at her.

Take that, you bimbo...!!

She gave me disgusted glare and I rolled my eyes.

I made my way towards his table and sat on the chair in front of him "We need to talk"

He raised his eyebrow somewhat surprised "O, Really?"

I ignored his comment and asked "Why did you leave me?"

I saw his body stiffened as I mentioned about it. His face hardened  and his fist tighten. " I left you?" he chuckled humourlessly "Did you forget you were the one who left me without any trace, without any explanation, without even meeting me last time."

I heard the sound of breaking my heart as his face showed the misery. As if recalling that moment pained him as much as it do to me.

"You made me to leave you like that " My voice came stern more than I expected.

He cocked his head forward "Really?  And what I did to make you leave, because all I know that I confessed you my feelings a night before only" His voice hold the hostility and I gulped.

"I know how much you mean those words, Mr. Maheshwari..!! " Sarcasm dripping in my voice and his eyes flared.

" I meant every single word, I said to you that night, Ragini. You were the one who never returned my feelings " I didn't know when he came so close to me but I shivered as his breath fanned over my neck from behind.

I can't believe he is blaming me. I turned towards him but my breath hitched to find his face so close to mine. I bit my lips unconsciously and his gaze darken.

I put my hands to his chest to push him back, but my body got numb feeling the fast beating of his heart. I looked at my hand on his heart and then my gaze mat his deep brown orbs.

Am I the reason of his fast beating heart?

I looked into his eyes and lost myself. His hooded eyes were looking at me with so much intensity that I squirmed under his gaze. It feels like his gaze was penetrating direct into my soul.

How can this man affect me this much, till now?

His eyes never left my gaze as his head leaned closer to me. I gulped audibly to feel his breath on my soft lips.

Is he going to kiss me now?

I don't know why I was panting in anticipation.

"Tell me Princess, Did you never love me? " his husky voice made me loose all my sense as he leaned more and I closed my eyes waiting for his lips to claimed me.
